Picked up the keys yesterday for my new property and I ha e to say I am delighted with the service I received from Karen and the team at Slater Hogg in EK. Due to the sellers circumstances the deal wasn’t straight forward however all the ladies bent over backwards to help the seller and myself get everything sorted and got the full sale completed in 4 weeks as expected. The East Kilbride office has gone through a difficult period since being taken over by Slater Hogg, however since the arrival of Hannah Bonnar, things have improved markedly. Hannah goes the extra mile to keep you appraised on any issues and managed to quickly secure tenants for a property that had only just become vacant. Well done Hannah.

Unfortunately can’t give zero stars. Shockingly poor service. Would not recommend. Having to take complaint to ombudsman as they are demanding payment for a service that was first presented not fit for purpose then ignored requests to resolve. Eventually nothing provided and silence. But happy to bill you for doing nothing.

Ten years of overcharging and appalling service

I was a landlord for ten years and dealt with Slater Hogg throughout that period. My experience was consistently appalling. I felt overcharged at every opportunity and never believed they were acting in my interests as their client. Quite the opposite, it often felt as though they were working against me.

My partner and I have just sold our property and are now purchasing a property through Slater Hogg and they have been amazing. They were on the ball with every enquiry and accommodated any questions we had (there was loads). They kept us up to date with everything and gave advice where necessary. Karen was amazing, so polite and cheery. She was always helpful. Fraser was brilliant, the pictures he took trumped the ones our previous estate angent took which we think is what helped massively in gaining the sale . As a reluctant landlord I feel that I have to advise against using SSH Shawlands as agents. Having rented out my property through them twice, ive seen that property damaged twice and have never been able to recover any of the costs from the deposit. My tenants were to check out without a report being issued...but chargęd for and evidence of damage being supplied. Its been very disheartening to have to write this, I wish better for others
