GoogleLynda goes above and beyond! We had such an incredible experience with Lynda as our agent. We weren't sold on the first flat we saw, so we told her directly our needs. Lynda made time that day and the next to show us multiple properties that were suited to our needs. She seemed to know the market well and understand our needs perfectly! She gave us advice and shared all the local facilities that we might require. Lynda didn't feel like your "typical" agent, she felt like a family member looking after us and sharing her knowledge. GoogleIf I can provide 0 star, I would have. This is the WORST renting experience I had in the UK. This agency has the poorest communication I have ever experienced with any letting agents in UK. I am reposting this review as I realised my previous review is not visible to public. I wonder why. The only good service I received from Martin & Co of this branch was when I approached them for viewing in 2021. They responded quickly and contacted regularly for my interest. Due to this, I had a good initial impression which led me to proceed with the rent. However, it just went all downhill since then. First, they had so much delay in preparing all the letting contracts. I did not receive inventory in time despite I emailed to remind them. I however only received it after I phoned them, and they acted so shocked as if it was my mistake that I did not receive inventory. Also, the property was not professionally cleaned (photos attached). The closet was also full of dust, rubbish. I had to reclean the entire flat myself again. I sent them an email with all the photos with all the evidence and my nonsatisfactions. No acknowledgement email, and i needed to phone them again, and over the phone said they acknowledged verbally. SO, my entire journey with them basically was no email reply for whatever email/ query I sent. The only time they responded to me, almost immediately was when I said I want to move out and when they sent me an email saying I did not pay the rental because they couldn't find it in their system. Then they sent me an email asking me to change the refence as if I have not used the same reference to pay for 6 months. When I moved out the property in August 2022, they charged me for cleaning as if I moved into a clean property initially. I emailed them to ask them to explain, and guess what I needed to phone them 6 times + sent them 3 emails to eventually get an explanation. Not to mention, they explained that because I did not request a clean up in the beginning of tenancy, so it is not in the system regarding cleaniness.. They also did not send me a check-out report until I needed to ask them twice over the phone. SERIOUSLY? Is this the professional service from a letting agent? I ended up decided to just agree with the cleaning charge because I felt like after so many encounters, I know it is going to be such a hassle because they just do not reply to any email unless you phone them multiple times. It was such a waste of my time, and poor for my mental health. I am not going to rent any property from Martin & Co anymore. I would definitely not recommend it too

GoogleInstructed Martin & Co to sell our flat. Naz came out with the brochure and we discussed costs. Straightforward costing which is the reason why I went with them over competitors who had costs for everything itemised. We paid a % of the final sale price. Flat went up and was sold within the week. Would definitely recommend them.

Once they let me know they'd like to proceed with the application all the checks and lease clarifications were sorted out within a week which is much appreciated as I had to do this as quickly as possible. There also was patience with my beginner questions.

GoogleWorst Agency in the UK. Don't even deserve 1 star.Totally Unprofessional and only stealing your money. Stay away from this agency. Just stay away. Scottish Government should shut down this fake agency. They don't care for you and no response from them where Emergency fix is required in the flat. Also very rude behaviour from the staff. I rented one of the flat from them recently in COVID situation and had to leave within 17 days because of major issues in the flat. There was complete leakage to all the windows in the flats, Boiler Breakdown and exhaust fan issues. I emailed them and call them couple of times but no one visited for Inspection. In the COVID situation and temperature around -1 C me and my wife were suffering from Cold due to cold breeze leaking through the windows and all the way entering into the flat and boiler breakdown added to our challenges. We have to keep heaters switch ON all the time but still no relief.We left the flat as early as possible since it was causing serious health issues. We talked to M. Nawaz who runs this agency but there were was no positive response on the deposit/rent returns even they didn't acknowledge the issues in the flat and instead blamed us and the flat. Totally irresponsible and disrespectful behaviour. We just left the flat and don't want to see their faces or the agency in the future or even deal with such rude and not caring people. Stay away from this agency. They just steal your money.There are lot of agencies in the market who are caring and Professional.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
Hi Ravi, Really sorry to hear you have had bad experience with us, your tenancy started on 19th April 2021 Spring and ended due to 28days minimum notice period required on 4th of June 2021, you were only charged rent until 4th June remaining deposit was refunded to you by Safe Deposit Scheme. We spoke to landlord straight after you mentioned about windows, landlord has been renting this property for good few years and never have had such issue, therefore he refused to change windows to double glazed. There is no gas in the building therefore no gas boiler in this flat, it is only electric heating. You reported extractor fan which landlord refused to replace due to electrician recommendation, hot water tank was reported and checked by electrician straight away. We tried our best to resolve all the issues you raised, please feel free to contact us if you require more details.
