TrustpilotProperty EPC Rating certificate…
Think I maybe have already done this but if not...On finding out the myriad of prerequisites on my property enabling me to become a registered landlord with Argyll and Bute I was very nearly dissuaded before I began . One of these ,to obtain an EPC rating of the proposed property. I was so afraid timing was against me as this was christmas week. However I found the staff totally accommodating, professional and personable to my plight. My property was assessed on the21st Dec with certificate approved on the 22nd Dec. could not have wished for a better service all round. Thank you

TrustpilotProfessional and prompt
We have used DM Hall on quite a few occasions over the years and this time, as ever, we got a prompt and professional service from Colin and his office colleagues when getting an updated EPC after installing improvements. They are not the cheapest but they are thorough, which means that if you are reading a home report for example you are getting a good picture of the property.

TrustpilotHome Reoprt We were quoted a maximum of £550 for…
We were quoted a maximum of £550 for the home report by the five estate agents we contacted and they all said that a discount would be applied as we had a valuation completed a number of weeks before by DM Hall. When contacting DM Hall we we were quoted a Home Report fee of over £700 which was then reduced to £550 as we had already had the valuation done. Seems as though DM Hall are making up their home report fees as they go!!

Thank you for sharing a review. Hopefully the final Home Report was satisfactory and we wish you well with the next move.

TrustpilotExtremely low score was unfairly…
Extremely low score was unfairly recorded against the Electricals of our 45year old property by Surveyor who based his assessment on aesthetics of ceiling pendant in rooms. This caused us difficulty and inability to sell the property at/around the valued price as the damning wordings in the electrical section of the report and the unjustified low score got people nervous and put them off. After a disappointing year on the market, we eventually settled for a part exchange with a new build developer who requested an updated Home Report from same DM Hall. However DM Hall sent a different surveyor and his evaluation of the electricals was much more realistic and a fairer reflection of the electrical condition with an increased improved scoring without us changing any thing. This only came after we had agreed a very low sales price with the developer. The scoring inconsistency of both surveyors from same company was shocking and disappointing as the first surveyor’s report cost us both time and money. DM Hall notably has a good reputation-that’s why we chose them, but this experience on this occasion was very disappointing.

GoogleAPPALLING AND UNPROFESSIONAL!! I have been interested in a commercial property in Ayr which has been on sale for more than 6 months. I have phoned over 20 times to get a viewing appointment for the property and I get told I will be contacted back as the property agent "Anthony" is on holiday or out of office, which has been the case for over 3 months now. The staff is simply uninterested in dealing with customers and the property agents are lazy, showing very little effort towards selling the property. I emailed recently again, regarding this complain, yet have received no response. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND someone to sell their property through this company as the staff is lazy and uninterested in doing their job.

TrustpilotFriendly and rapid service
Minimal time to wait for survey to be carried out, or for generation of report afterwards. Surveyor was friendly and made a fair assessment.
