We had an excellent experience with Ramya Peela, who is the Property Relationship Manager at Edinburgh office. Though we didn't meet her in person, but she was always accessible through email/phone and kept us updated with any information about our request for a new installation of dishwasher at the rented flat. Finally the request got completed on time and we are quite happy with the overall expereince. The team at DJ Alexander had always been proactive in resolving any issues or executing any requests. Great job by Ramya and DJ Alexander team.

Absolutely awful company. By far the worst letting agency on the market. Literally rob peoples deposits, So many others say the same thing, and they are literally the reason letting agencies get a bad rep. We left our apartment in immaculate condition, better than when we received it, which we have photo and video evidence of, yet they still deduct money from the deposit, so there is literally no point in cleaning your apartment when you leave as they will still deduct money from your deposit. STAFF was also terrible to deal with, taking ages to reply and not helping whatsoever. AVOID.

The property manager Kieran Mooney was helpful throughout the whole process and explained in detail how, as a student, I would be renting my flat and helped advise what information I needed while also being patient during my awkward questions. I recently agreed a let with DJ Alexander. Booking a viewing was very straightforward.After being accepted Laura McTaggart gave me call and an email. She was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. She called me with updates and to check in through out. I felt in very safe hands.Laura sent me through tips for getting everything set up in my new property and there system allowed me to switch energy and set up broadband ready for my move in date.This has been a much better experience than my previous letting agency.

This company went far beyond what we expect of an estate agency. I want to give a great big thanks to the staff that we have dealt with over the last few years Yasser, Guilia ,Sara, and Ashley, they are all first rate, they pulled out all the stops when we had a problem with water ingress in a flat we were selling recently, thanks to these guys we managed to complete the sale. I have had a great experience so far with DJ Alexander’s glasgow team. They have been efficient and very responsive. I feel that my properties are in good hands and I can trust them to deal with anything that comes up - very helpful as I am not based in Glasgow. DJ Alexander were incompetent and unprofessional from the start. Went to view the property and letting agent left three of us waiting outside for ten minutes, before someone called and said the landlord was inside, why not greet the viewers at the door? Viewed the property and decided to go ahead, asked the agent to proceed with an application, the agent said he had sent an email with my application, I later realised he hadn't, I called to resolve this and was told to wait, waited until the next day and asked for another application, so had to chase this up.. filled it out within 20 minutes and was told in the next hour I had been successful. Then the agent called me telling me the house was on a pro rata rate, meaning I had to pay two months upfront and the deposit, no mention of this on their advertisement or at the viewing! Highly unprofessional. Called and spoke to an agent regarding the situation, who apologised and said it was a mistake, that the rent was due on the 1st of each month but move in date was the 9th, I asked if I could move in on the 1st, so I didn't have to pay two months upfront.. to which the agent replied no it takes a week to draft up a lease and get the property cleaned and we are short staffed. It's no wonder the way the business is run, they can't keep staff. The date is the 20th of September then can't draft a lease and clean a property by the 1st ! It's as if they don't want anyone to move in. So they expect you to pay a full month's rent on the 9th and pay the rent for November on the 1st, plus the deposit and miss out on 9 days rent paid. What an absolute incompetent letting agent. Landlords using this letting agent will be very let down, losing good tenants to their laziness and untrained staff.

GoogleMy experience with DJ Alexander was amazing, professional and easy. We have been searching for a house for months and Lauryn came through for us. She showed us a beautiful house to call our home and explained the process in detail. She was helpful and was there for any questions. Lauryn from DJ Alexander is truly an angel sent from heaven. Gill was also professional and always available to help too. They both made moving in a wonderful experience without stress. Thank you all and I highly recommend this company. GoogleMy experience with DJ Alexander was a very pleasant and professional one all down to the impeccable service we received from Paige who truly is an asset to the company, and assisted us in our search for a flat promptly. Paige had a very polite, personable manner which put us at ease with all the stress that comes with flat hunting right from the start. We were made to feel that Paige was always there for us to ask any questions at all and she was incredibly responsive and kind in her communication. Paige truly went above and beyond and her level of service must be highlighted. Thank you so much to Paige, we are so grateful for your help in finding our gorgeous flat. I must also mention Gill, our lovely Applications Advisor who was an absolute pleasure to deal with and her level of service and professionalism was simply exceptional. Gill supported us along every step of the application process and would solve any queries we had within literal minutes, we truly cannot thank her enough. TrustpilotDisappointing maintenance response to issues
The maintenance team consistently downplays reported issues, often advising us to "adjust and wait," which can lead to delays of a year or more before anything is resolved, if at all. Many times, we are left to handle repairs on our own due to the lack of support. Additionally, I have concerns about whether these issues are even communicated to the landlord, and their contact information that was not provided in the rental agreement, makes it seem questionable.

DJA do not provide a property management service to landlords. They are not proactive, the service in both Aberdeen and Edinburgh is severely lacking control and understanding. It is no more than a postbox service expecting landlords to fill the gaps and pay!
