Kirsten Marshall-Thomson has been quick, clear, diligent and supportive when communicating regarding a long maintenance issue in my property. She communicated with her fellow agents regarding a neighbouring property with an overlapping issue, along with other agents that have handled previous issues with my property. It was so reassuring for me to know that she had tabs on my property.

Avoid them like the plague. My only regret in leaving this review is that Google doesn’t allow fewer than one star. They were once a decent bunch back when they went by Tay Lettings. Then came DJ Alexander to what seems to be a social experiment in how low the bar can go. The Byres Road office, in particular, deserves special recognition for redefining the word hapless. Delays, radio silence and a level of incompetence that would almost be impressive if it weren’t so costly, as I ended up losing thousands of pounds thanks to their “management.” Consistency, however, is one of their strengths. Right to the bitter end, they stayed true to form sending an overcharged invoice, contradicted by their own contract, followed by complete silence when questioned and then, naturally, sent a revised invoice straight to the solicitors. Never change, old friend. To anyone considering using DJ Alexander: just put down the phone, take a few slow steps back and once you’re at a safe distance, run! Or if you hate sound management, effective communication and honesty, I’ll be happy to share my referral code.

It has been over a week since we moved…

It has been over a week since we moved into our apartment, and we are still not being supplied with the furnishings that were promised and are listed in our tenancy inventory. We are paying a significant amount for a furnished apartment, yet the essential items are missing, and maintenance has not been completed as agreed.Dealing with this letting agency has been terrible. I’ve had to chase contractors and DJ Alexander myself, without being provided any updates or information regarding what’s being done to resolve the situation. Their lack of communication and professionalism is unacceptable, and I have no confidence that this will be sorted any time soon.I would strongly advise potential renters to avoid this agency. We are currently seeking compensation, as we have not received the services we’ve paid for. This has been a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience.

Flat sold in Glasgow

I have recently sold my flat in Glasgow with DJ Alexander. I was dealing with Ruth Woodcock in the Glasgow office who has been fantastic throughout. My flat required emptying and cleaning which DJ Alexander arranged for me. They also took care of the viewings which was extremely helpful. After an initially slow start to the sale, I was concerned that we were not getting enough interest in the flat but Ruth advised me to stick with it. This was excellent advice as I soon received an offer that was comfortably more I was expecting. The rest of the sales process was remarkably smooth too. I could not have hoped for a better experience for selling my first flat.
