Her professionalism stood out immediately. She was organised, proactive, and consistently responsive to any questions or queries I had. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and she handled everything efficiently and with great attention to detail. Letting out a property can sometimes feel stressful, but Joanne made the experience smooth and straightforward. Great professional agents and I was the buyer not the seller and they even managed to really impress me. Sharon particularly, kept a very tenuous chain of 3 of us, from falling over several times and it was no easy feat- managing three different parties all with different timescales. Her diplomacy, negotiation and skills were top drawer and it was impressive to see in action! Big shout out to Kerry too - who dealt with all my initial negotiations and offers. I cannot recommend Gordon Brown's letting agency enough! As a first-time renter, I had numerous questions and wasn't fully sure of the process, but the team was fantastic. Joanne was great and provided excellent guidance, making sure I understood every step along the way. I did most of my viewings with Andy, who was a lovely guy and made me feel completely at ease. They made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. I would 100% recommend them to anyone, especially new renters!

Our experience of simultaneously buying a property and selling our existing property with Gordon Brown, Low Fell was excellent and as stress free as it could have possibly been from start to finish (property valuation, through to marketing, through to having an offer accepted on our existing property, accepting an offer on a new property and guiding us through to eventual completion on both properties). Having had plenty of highly negative experiences with various estate agents in London, Jesmond and Gosforth; the contrast of the strikingly honest, transparent and extremely friendly manner we received upon every single interaction from every single team member (not limited to Sharon, Kerry, Gail, Cheryl, Lauren and Katie) over a several month process was outstanding. The friendly and proactive communication from all the team made the process so easy for us and really made us feel cared for. We constantly felt that the team were routing for us and doing everything in their power to make the transition between the two properties as seamless as possible. Thank you so much to the whole team for your invaluable support from the beginning to the very end, we couldn’t have asked for the help of a better team ☺️

UPDATE Thanks for the reply Liam, we are thrilled to be free of your company. You accuse us of an attack which is NOT TRUE, this is liabel and totally illegal. We are not holding you up at knifepoint! No-one was attacked. Yet another complete over reaction! So very many mistakes in only 4 weeks we only stayed with you because we had a buyer. We have since found out you were irritating her too. There were numerous mistakes including posting a key back without prior arrangement, a huge security risk. You informed our solicitor without need or permission who found you ridiculous as we had already discussed together terminating the contract with you. You annoyed our buyer who reiterated that you are just the agent here and cannot control which houses she decides to buy. I'm not sure her solicitor was best pleased with your behaviour either. You spoke at length to someone about the house. who was just there to let you in and did not live there! The egos are very overinflated and the reactions from yourselves are utterly disproportionate. You were simply asked to be nicer! In a customer facing role manners are essential. Numerous people have said whatever happened to the client comes first and are appalled by the attitudes displayed. Ridiculous and good riddance. Sales team, Lynn and Cheryl are very cheerful and efficient and that's sadly where the positives end! There is a strong air of arrogance in the office and they clearly badmouth clients to each other. Sharon in after sales is rude and bossy and treats you like you're her lesser assistant. There's a lack of respect in all communications. If you want to be stressed even more than a normal house move then choose this company and they will ensure you are bossed about no end! I would avoid them if you're used to being treated as an equal and with respect. We ended up changing agents and couldn’t be happier and had a successful, pleasant sale. Huge thanks to them ( the other agent) for saving us from this toxicity.

To go into details would hurt me again and again. If you are a foreigner, just be aware that Gordon Brown Agency is a racist and discriminative agency. Good luck in your dealings with them . First of all , to further prove my point, you went straight into assumptions and defending yourselves , trying so hard to make yourselves look good and going further to refer me to the reviews of other people. So how does their experience relate to my experience? I do not care about other people's review, it is my experience and you will not shut me down by referring me to how other people felt when they dealt with your Agency . If you were professional enough ,you would have asked to know exactly why I felt that why and try to work on your company policy. Maybe you do not know it but half of the staff that work in your agency are all racist and I have my facts and evidence incase you want to still think that I am daft or have no clue what I am talking about . So I am going to state exactly what happened since you all want to play ignorant. 1. I didn't write this review cause the house I viewed wasn't giving to me .( I am not that stupid or emotionally immature to think that because a landlord or agency didn't find me as a good match for a property, then they are discriminative ....hell No ! ) So the first day I called to arrange a viewing , I was on the phone for about 15-20 minutes out of 30 minutes of my break time speaking to this lady who claimed that all the questions she was asking me was being put in the system. So after 20 minutes of questions, she said she was going to send me the appointment details . Fast forward to my second break, I called again and another lady picked up and I explained the situation . She requested for my details and went on to say that non of my details are in the system or with them in any type of way . She put me on a hold and tried to find out why but ended up saying she can't figure out why .She proceeded to repeat same questions and finally sent me a viewing appointment . On the appointment date , the first lady who pretended to take my details but actually didn't was the one who came at no 2 Asher Street and yet on the list of viewing appointments she had , my name wasn't there. She went on to ask me if I was this name , that name or this one . So this is the second time , I was mysteriously omitted from appointment and viewing. And I reminded her about my details not being saved and she took all my break time and still did nothing. She offered no apology and went on to play dumb, ignorant and confused. After viewing, she advised me to call in and I did . The lady at the end which must be her as well or someone else which makes it worse ,said how much am I willing to pay for the house ? I was shocked as a price was put on the net already. I said , I will pay whatever price the landlord put the property for. She said very rudely,no , a lot of people have put in 670,680 blah blah . So basically your Agency put up a 2 bedroom apartment for £575 and then went on to be greedy to start bargaining prices with every viewer to know the highest bidder . Not necessarily looking at who has what it takes , the proper documentations and all but who can pay the highest and they did all these to immigrants who were desperate for accommodation. I have recorded voice calls between us cause my phone is on an automatic record. It was after I listened to these voice records that I began feeling the impact of what happened. I felt bad , discriminated against in every way and all you can do is coming here to tell me how others felt when they dealt with your Agency . Your Agency has Zero level of professionalism, unexposed staff and ignorant discriminative and racist beings . All you care about is making yourselves look good and not improving your company policy and relations. I do not need your good luck as I am lucky to not have rented from your agency. You should send out your staff to try other Agencies and learn from them . Good luck to you .

Jo Graham is a fantastic estate agent, she made our house move process - admin forms, paperwork, reference checking, deposit payment, etc - very smooth and without any issues. For most of this time I lived in Dubai, and they were great at coordinating, keeping me informed and ensuring my property was maintained to my high standards. Top notch service from Gordon Brown. Friendly, professional and prompt in responding. Their posting on right move was brilliant, good pictures which are clear taken with proper gear. Video was also excellent. The staff are brill, I'd like to give a specific thanks to Sharon who handled a portion of my case. Not only did we see the property quickly, all communication there after until we collected the keys was excellent and Joanne made the whole process so quick and painless. I can highly recommend Gordon Brown Estate Agents. From start to finish, everyone has been great. Cheryl came out to value the property I was selling and was really friendly and informative. Liam took amazing photos/video and helped the house stand out on Rightmove (it sold the day after it went on the market!) Fantastic experience with Gordon Brown, from the start I was treat with such professionalism and warmth from the whole team. The photos and videos of my house were done to a very high standard and I believe really helped me to get the viewings and interest that I did. I dealt with Lynn from the sales team who is super helpful and friendly and always kept me in the loop with great communication. I then dealt with Sharon in sales progression once my house sold and she was absolutely amazing. My house sale fell through twice which caused us such stress and anxiety, Sharon was always there with empathy and supportive phone calls offering me guidance on what to do next.
