PORT TALBOT OFFICE - The worst experience I've ever had with an estate. I had a pleasant viewing with the owner who showed me around when the estate agent wasn't available. Loved the house a d spent 2 hours chatting with the owner who seemed more than keen to sell to me, even asked me to exchange numbers to keep each other updated as this agent allowed his last sale to fall through and never notified him.Later the same day I txt the owner and offered full asking, telling him he could take as much time as needed to decide. He replied instantly and accepted. I emailed the agent and formally submitted my offer as well as my mortgage in principle proof of funds (far more than enough to Substantiate my offer) I phoned the next working day a d the agent Sarah Rowlands was instantly offish and dismissive, huffing down the phone and acting completely put out that I had called. She was annoyed me and the owner had contact and told me nothing had been accepted and viewings would go ahead still.I heard nothing til I was contacted by Rachel in there mortgage team. I told them I had already got a lender I was happy with but was pushed in to chatting with her anyway. After talking through the mortgage info I was then called yo say my offer was accepted and it would be taken off the market....that was until dat laterite Rachel had decided upon herself to go behind my back and speak to my lender and tell me they wouldn't lend to me...pure rubbish, i had personal contact with my lender and was told that agents tend to use intimidating and bullying tactics to force people to pay for their services.As soon as I refused to pay for the agents in house mortgage service I was ghosted and then told my offer had been gazumped and owner stopped contact. I took it as a blessing in disguise as I would never deal with Sarah or Rachel or this crooked company. A week after that I wascontactedby the owner again who assumee I was still buying...I had to be the one to tell him that his agents lied to him and me and that I was messed around and they declined my offer without his knowledge.Avoid these unprofessional,dishonest,useless, crooked liars at all cost!!!

Charity Shop Sue could show this lot a few things about management. Broker was an imbecile, couldn’t get him off the phone until we paid, then couldn’t get him on the phone. His manager was a nylon shirt wearing narcissist. They caused delay, drift, and endless stress. Avoid like the plague. Financial ombudsman here we come.

GoogleCannot praise Allen and Harris Estate Agents enough! They provide an outstanding, professional and excellent level of service and have been exceptionally supportive and helpful throughout the entire process of renting a property. I had been looking for a place to rent for a while which would allow a dog, every other estate agent I called were unhelpful and uninformative, not even willing to take my details for any potential upcoming properties. When I called Allen and Harris, I spoke with Joshua, who is absolutely brilliant! He was more than helpful, he kept me updated throughout the entire process which was very reassuring given the demand for rental properties at the moment - he is an absolute credit to Allen and Harris Team and just made the entire process run so smoothly! I had a very lovely lady named Jess, who followed up with all the paperwork and documentation. Jess has been fantastic, she was also very informative, kept in touch and managed to sort all the relevant information out so quickly, that we got to move in within a week! A humongous thanks to Joshua and Jess, and the rest of the Allen and Harris Team, you have been absolutely amazing and made the whole process so stress-free and easy! ...I wish I had found you guys sooner!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Allen & Harris, Frome, BA11 1ARI tried to contact them to view a cottage, left a message but no response. Later, spoke to 2 people (one the manager) who both promised to call back with an appointment and didn't. In desperation, I traced the owner and wrote to him. Possibly as a result I was called 3 days later and offered an appointment 2 weeks after my initial approach.Subsequently made an offer of full price but 24 hours later got a call to say that off-road parking, which was included in their sales details, would be £5000 extra. "Oh, you should have been told that."I shall never deal with this firm again, either to buy or sell - their 63% one star rating says it all.

GoogleWe recently moved to Frome during a very difficult time personally - Jessica at Allen and Harris was honestly the best estate agent I've ever worked with. She was incredibly understanding of our situation and found us the perfect property that we're proud to call our home for the unforeseeable future, plus was absolutely lovely to deal with. We were buying as first time buyers, we had no idea what we were meant to be doing and when. Our sale wasn't the easiest due to many complications from the developers, but Carly and the team really went above and beyond for us. I was able to call nearly every other day and they'd all be cheerful, tell me I am not a fool for constantly chasing, and just being absolutely lovely. I highly recommend Allen and Harris! Their customer service is on another level and they would bend over backwards if that would help the process move smoother.

Avoid this company at all costs. I used the PPAISLEY branch, I was misquoted on the fee cost and over quoted on the value of my property. So, it cost me MORE to sell and my property was worth LESS than they said. After taking time off work to allow Allen & Harris' photographer in my property I ended up asking them to use my own photographs. I was told I would be contacted once a week with an update, but this rarely happened. Prior to my flat selling I hadn't heard anything for over 3 weeks. I has to ask them to check viewers were actually viewing a property that fitted they're search criteria. A constant reason a buyer wasn't interested was that it was in the wrong area. Goodness sake! Google maps!! Check with the buyer where they DO want to stay!! That was beyond strange, why view somewhere that is not in your search area? I honestly doubted half my viewers even existed. Weekly calls from the office from Leanne soon stopped, these calls were embarrassing as Gary who sold me on using Allen & Harris had assured me that my property was in high demand. This was obviously not the case OR this company were not doing their job. I eventually had to chase up this company to make sure they were doing all they could to sell my property. I think they were more relieved my property sold than I was, I got ONE phone call to say an offer was being initiated and that was the last I heard from them. Everything then came thro my solicitor. They did practically NOTHING to earn their over-rated fee. Avoid this company at all costs. I have only awarded 1 star as there is no option to give ZERO.

From the initial meeting to the conclusion the Ayr office were fantastic Caitlin, Ben and Allan were calming and reassuring at all stages. I am the anxious type so their management and constant updates were very welcome. I wish I had gone with their lawyers too in retrospect. I would not hesitate to deal with them again!!

GoogleAfter having our flat on the market with another agent for 6 months we decided that we needed to change. The team at Allen and Harris were brilliant. Luke visited us and talked through the service that the team offered. Before they showed anyone around the property Gemma came to our flat and had a look around and asked all the questions so that she could pass this onto anyone who looked around. When we had viewings Gemma always provided us with prompt feedback. If we had any questions then she always answered these promptly. The team are approachable, friendly and always willing to help. When we browsed any properties with Gemma she always shared our excitable energy. If we had any problems with other agents then Gemma was always there willing to sort it out if we needed her to. I will definitely make sure that in the future I will deal with Allen and Harris, Frome, and cannot recommend them highly enough, especially Gemma.

When we were viewing the property, he was incredibly patient and kind with my very old and slow mother-in-law, above and beyond the call of duty, and despite us holding up his schedule. Always really friendly and professional. Rory has been a wise and cool head throughout what was a difficult process - he really saved the day for us on several occasions

GoogleFound everyone at Allen and Harris in Frome tobto warm, friendly and really helpful. Really felt like they get to know you and your individual circumstance. Special mention to Richard Repper mortgage advisor. We ended up buying a house through another agent but Richard really got us off the ground at the beginning and then supported us through the whole process. Once our house sold, Rory was the one that kept me calm up until the minute we handed our keys over to them. Would give zero if I could. We had lots of issues with the house and the estate agents just ghosted us. To this day, they still owe me money for the keys because they couldn't even manage to get keys cut right (never heard of checking?). I keep asking when it will be returned and Lewis just says "I will get back to you". Special shoutout to Lewis for being particularly useless on this matter and for maintenance issues overall. They left us with broken furniture for a whole year- they kept saying they would send someone to fix it but never did. The house had an awful mould problem- they sent someone over to give quotes to install extractor fan in bathroom but nothing came of that. They tried to milk money out of the deposit but we argued so they backed out (their claims had no merit). Would not recommend. They don't check that houses are suitable to live in, and they don't respond or care if there's an issue with the house. Not responsible, practical, or reliable.
