Brilliant company

Brilliant company - I wish I had known about The Good Estate Agent before we listed our property. Unfortunately, we had listed our property with a different company who were as useful as a chocolate teapot but thankfully the couple we were purchasing from had listed their property with The Good Estate Agent. Mark Garner was brilliant. He kept us in the loop from day 1. He updated us every step of the way with the purchase of our new home but then at the the same time he was also helping advise with the sale of our own house which was a massive help as we were left in the dark with the company we had listed with. He maintained regular contact and advised on what we needed to do to help push the sale of our house. He was extremely knowledgeable and was on hand to answer any questions or queries we had regarding the sale and purchase of our home. I would definitely recommend this company. Helpful and excellent communication during such a stressful and big transition. Thank you again Mark :-)

Michelle Ferbrache has been absolutely outstanding. I recently listed a rental property for sale and when my circumstances changed and that resulted in re-letting the property Michelle went over and above her duties. I honestly don't know what I would have done without her help as I live over 2 hours away from the property and she definitely did more than she needed to. We chose this agency because of Shelly Wood.We liked the fact that she was experienced and exceptionally knowledgeable about the area. Traumatic!

Traumatic! Dramatic! and Problematic! That's what I've experienced with every estate agent over the last few years - until I met Michelle Ferbrache. Oh my goodness. What a difference she made to the process of property purchase and sale. Stress free! Sadly my sale and purchase fell through not because of any fault from The Good Estate Agent, but because my own property developed major problems that needed sorting, which I'm hopeful will be concluded very soon. Happy Returning Customer Again

When my house first went on the market…

When my house first went on the market with TGEA James was amazing. The feedback on the viewings was given almost immediately and the buyers were all suitable and in a position to move. However once we accepted an offer from a cash buyer my sale was taken over by two admin girls with no official handover or explanation. They were novices and were unable to chase progress with the solicitors or provide updates and we constantly had to chase things for ourselves. It was an extremely slow and stressful process with false promises, false timescales, Mis communication, lies with us feeling unimportant and doing all of the leg work. We felt they were acting in the best interest of the buyer and not for us even though we were the ones to pay their invoice and not him. We were told we just had to wait as solicitors are like politicians and do everything in their own time or that they couldn’t chase things again as they were annoying the solicitor. They were scared of the phone which passed between them from day to day. On the day of completion we did not receive a thank you call in receipt of payment of the invoice or a congratulations for finally selling the house. They are very un professional, inexperienced, have very poor communication skills and are just rude. I would never recommend this agent to any friends or family nor use them again them in the future.

I was not sure about the concept of an agent where I could not pop into the office and see them if I had a problem however that reservation was quickly put to bed on my first meeting with Julie!! She picks up her phone and responds to e-mails late at night and early in the Mornings at the times where you think about the issues you might have and want a response she’s there! Dealing with a person who’s passion it is to deliver a better estate agency service experience is so refreshing!! After finding a great tenant through Bradley’s tremendous help last year, Brad had helped me find another great tenant this year!Brad was keeping me informed about the development step by step. Where to start? From day one Mark was always honest, upfront, reliable and easily contactable which is just what you need when selling a house!Mark being an independent agent was great as he was always our primary point of access which was amazing, there is noting worse than having to explain yourself 3 times to various agents just to get to the bottom of what is happening!
