I wouldn’t recommend Graham Miller at The Good Estate Agent, Sunderland. I had a terrible experience. He, being a Freemason met a tenant from a a Freemason’s meeting and rushed him into becoming my tenant without doing the checks. It turned out that my tenant was late paying rent 6 out of 8 months and has left with 4 months rent arrears. When I asked Graham for copies of the tenant’s references and copies of 3 months bank statements he couldn’t supply them to me after the tenant had moved out. Graham held onto a spare set of keys for 11 months without telling me he had them. When I asked him why he hadn’t sent them when I no longer needed his services in June 2026 he said he didn’t have my addresses which was a lie. When I signed up to use The Good Estate he actually took my address.

Shelly at the Sunbury branch was very helpful - got a viewing immediately and despite my situation being a little complex and me only looking for a short term rental - she was very patient and supportive in trying to find a feasible solution to help us get the tenancy. I now rent a lovely flat and have a lovely landlady. The flat was presented to me in immaculate condition and despite an unexpected issue with the shower on day one, it was dealt with immediately and that too on a Sunday afternoon! Thank you so much. I can highly recommend Shelly from the Good Estate Agent in Sunbury.

They are the worst agency that you can work with, honestly don't even try to rent or buy a house with them, we moved in to a different house because they started running the new contract with the property. I was renting with Morgan agency, which it is a real agency not like the good estate agent. This agency is a disaster, they never answer your messages and they treat you like a kid. They kept and overpayment for over 2 months, when that money was mine, and I paid it by accident. Chris Hollins, the local basic worker based in dunfermline, is very very rude. He is always trying to annoy you with things that he doesn't need to be involved. They only have 5 reviews and as you can see they are not very good, Honestly don't even contact with the agency.

Awful experience with the Leigh branch. We listed for sale then changed our mind and had to ask several times for the board to be removed and the Rightmove listing (which had our full address on not just street) to be taken down. When I left a review on their Facebook page it was taken down and board collected within hours.

Some more information on the house purchase mentioned by Michelle Horne. I was left £400 out of pocket because I was assured by Michelle at the Good Estate Agent that the seller was keen to move forward quickly and if necessary was prepared to move out early to assist us in our chain free purchase. Searches carried out, money wasted. I had to contact Michelle at all times, she never offered information unless asked. If Michelle has a long history of 5 star reviews I'm frankly amazed. She was extremely poor in dealing with me. I can't blame her for the seller pulling out but her communication skills are severely lacking. I was promised updates, I didn't get them. I only got updates when I chased her for them. I have copied her last email directly.
