GoogleWe found what was, at the time, the home of our dreams - we were the first to view it and immediately placed an offer for the asking price (even before we drove away from the driveway) only to be told we had to wait for others whom were viewing on that day to make offers; leaving us completely demoralised... We had sold our home a month prior and had viewed many up to that point... when we were outbid we increased ours by 10K to then be told we should write an email with reasons why we should be chosen (as if offering 10K more than asking price wasn't enough?!?) As we loved it so much we went ahead but only to eventually be outbid by £500.00 without having an opportunity to offer more... that said, should people have to do this when they offered what was asked? They might as well have put the home on ebay (this isn't scotland either where the process is different!) an asking price is an asking price (the adverts didn't say offers above!) If you go and buy a car (even a used one) and offer the price they ask for you'd be able to buy it - no questions... the dealership wouldn't say "mmm, nah... we'll hold off to see who else offers today" so how is this different... You may say that others had appointments on that day but again, you would sell and disappoint those whom weren't quick enough; surely... (not to mention those who offer more!) As it is, we found a bigger/better home in the exact same area for 30K less and moved into it a month ago... but people shouldn't have their emotions messed with like this - our advice: if you place an offer for the asking price or similar try not to get too excited nor emotionally involved as you may find yourself in the same situation... evidently you doing exactly what is asked of you isn't good enough.

Dear Jodie, You viewed the property on the 13th August 2019 at 10:15am. There was also a viewing at 10:30am and another viewing at 10:45am on the same day, so obviously we could not cancel these viewings. You did make an offer of £210,000 which we put forward to the vendor, however other viewings were already taking place. The two other viewers, which viewed straight after yourself also made offers on the same day and all offers were put forward to the vendor. We informed all three parties who offered that the vendor had instructed us to ask for "best and final offers" by the end of the working day on the 14th August 2019. You submitted your best and final offer of £220,000 which was not accepepted by the vendor because they had received a higher offer from a cash buyer. We gave yourself and the two other viewers a fair opportunity to put their best offer forward and we have to go off our clients instructions as to which offer they would like to accept. We would never ask you to write an email as to why your offer should be accepted. This has never been a requirement on any offer we have received. However, my colleague Alex did put your email forward to the vendor as requested by yourself. I am sorry you feel dissapointed but firstly, we could not cancel viewings when they were straight after your viewing and without my clients instruction. All offers were put forward to the vendor and the property was sold to the highest bidder. It is the vendor's decision which offer to accept. Regards Paul Bayliss (Director)

GoogleThe service I received from The Square Room was excellent, they could not do enough for me. Paul who came round to view my property was so helpful, explaining the process step by step, he kept in touch through the whole selling process, absolutely amazing. Susan who was dealing with myself was absolutely fantastic, the communication was amazing. I would highly recommend square room if you wish to sell/rent a property, there prices are so reasonable and they do so much for you. They take the worry away from you when selling a property, I can not thank them enough. A very happy customer.

GoogleThe people at the Square Room were very helpful. The reason for the reduced rating is that we were told that the property was going to be professionally cleaned. In fact the bathroom floor was ingrained with dirt. The kitchen unit doors at the upper level were sticky with grease. The extractor unit was discustingly dirty. The radiators were full of dirt. The carpets did not appear to be cleaned either. We are happy with the property otherwise.

GoogleExcellent friendly service throughout the process from Paul and his team. From a very reasonable quote at the start, everything moved quickly. The brochure was produced within the same day as the photographer visited and within 24 hours we had 7 viewings. Would highly recommend the Square Room .

GoogleRidiculous service, or lack of. The girl who answers the phones for lettings can hardly string a sentence together. Rude, cancelled an appointment to view without telling us, then told me they'd called and told me the day before. Then told me I gave them the wrong number. How did you call me then? Rather spend money with people who can at least pronounce words correctly. *****Edit***** They've now managed to call me on the number they said was wrong to complain about a 1 star rating on Google. If they'd actually put that effort into customer service this review would have been massively different. Disappointing at best.

I originally put my house up with them and they did nothing to market my property at all, then took it off them, I then found a property that was for sale with then OMG no help at all, RUDE staff member, did nothing to speak to the client and was always unhelpful, the last call she put the phone down on me after lots of questions which always the answer was NO ! RUDE ! They telephone the owner and messaged him directly what a total waste of time ! Again did not reply at all ! Ignorant arrogant horrible estate agency keep clear of them they are horrendous rude ignorant arrogant people that try and tell you what to do at all times !

GoogleWe used Square room to sell my mother's property during 2022 after her death, it was a positive experience, they were very sensitive, undertook all the viewing and gave us feedback and once we had a buyer they guided us through the process. We were very happy with them, so much so thar when we decided to sell our house in June 2023 we used them again, the house sold very quickly, we moved out in September 2023, Square room were always on hand to keep us up to date. All the staff I had communication with were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend and if we were to move again we would use again

GoogleFrom our first meeting with Paul,who I believe is the head guy of the company,we were made to feel that we were in good hands,and so it proved to be the case,with a little help from ourselves to be fair,making sure that the property was presented in a positive light at each viewing.I believe we had our eventual buyer within five or six weeks of going up for sale,and with the Square Room behind us,were able to move out within about four months,thanks to all concerned.
