I would give a zero if it were an option! I phoned today to try and arrange a viewing of a property and after going through the motions of registering, I was then told that I could not proceed until I gave PROOF OF FUNDS! I was flabbergasted, never have I been asked for this having done several viewings this week. Bridges, you have lost yourselves a buyer and if I had a property on with you, I would seriously consider going elsewhere to sell it. You need to change your attitude and be a bit more professional!

Dear Lyn,We are sorry that you feel that you had a less than satisfactory experience with our team. With regards to the proof of funds request, during the pandemic and lockdown all estate agents were given guidance by the government that appointments should only take place if the buyer was in a position to purchase therefore we implemented a proof of funds process prior to any physical viewings of our vendors homes. This was for the safety of our staff and of course our clients. Being known for our great customer service this review came as a surprise and we would like to speak to you regarding your experience. I have a situation that I need to share with you. I saw a property with an agency (based in Basingstoke) and we booked an appointment to see another one. The first time we saw the property, the lady wasn't competent and didn't have any knowledge about the property. Furthermore, no one called us back or asked for any feedback about the property. The second time, we booked an appointment to view the property on the same day it was added to the market. The agency cancelled our appointment through voicemail and requested us to call back to book another appointment. I called back within 5 minutes, but the guy who answered didn't have any knowledge of the available appointment and promised to call back with a new appointment. The next morning, we received a text message with the new appointment, but within few minutes, somebody called and said the property had been sold. I feel that this is not fair play. We did not have any chance to look at the property or give any offer. I feel that this company has a catastrophic customer service without any competence.

GoogleI have used two other well known estate agents in Farnham previously. It was only when I came to Bridges and I met Alfie who was fantastic from start to finish that I had faith in my agent. Sarah and Kathy pushed through the sale for us and really put the pressure on at the end as there were some last minute problems. From my experience with the people I have worked with in the past 7 months, I would recommend Bridges to anyone who is looking for a really genuine estate agent.

"They"ll be p*s**d off with that" was the response to the cash offer I made on behalf of my recently widowed mum. This was after "you're late!" when I viewed a second house directly after viewing the house mum bought. Had to prove funds existed before I could make an offer. Attitude totally changed from not being interested in giving me the time of day. Found Bridges to be unprofessional from the outset. You do not speak to a potential buyer as they did to me. Mum sadly passed away 16 December.

GoogleI sold a property with Bridges recently and had fantastic service from everyone involved. The property had many viewings in the first few days of going on the market and offers resulting in a sale for over the asking price. The process was smooth and Aaron kept me informed of progress regularly. If I was to sell again there would be no doubt I would be using Bridges.

They arranged the sale of my very elderly parent’s house and were amazing. My parents were so impressed and reassured as they were gently guided through the sales process and supported throughout.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Made an appointment to view a property. After waiting, and then eventually calling the estate agents, they put me on hold for the manager, who made the appointment, that this had not been booked. He then, rather then apologise, informed me it was my fault for not having a confirmation email, because obviously him telling it was booked wasn't enough. IAfter, being told by multiple people that bridges were, simply terrible, I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. This was the wrong choice.

From valuation to the point where I have today exchanged contracts they have been there for me all the way. GoogleIt is a great team (Bridges Farnham) with a customer-focused leader at the helm. We built our house near Farnham in 2015. After moving in, Aaron from Bridges politely called me and then stayed in touch over the eight years we lived there. Every couple of years, he contacted me and offered a free property valuation. Which I took advantage of a couple of times. When the time came and we decided to sell, it was clear we would put the house on the market with Bridges. Aaron understood what we wanted, and he and the team delivered. The marketing and the sales coincided with a significant market slowdown (due to the October 2022 'Mini Budget'). Yet, they generated considerable interest in the property and found the perfect buyers for us, a lovely couple relocating back to the UK from California. The process was smooth, collaborative and somewhat innovative (e.g., it included video viewing too, which was a first for us). We bought and sold more than ten properties over three decades; this was the best-managed process and transaction ever, a five-star plus experience. Big thanks for their dedication and excellent service, and best wishes to Aaron and the entire Bridges Farnham team.

GoogleVery efficient and responsive Estate agents. Both Kathy and Alfie worked tirelessly on what is probably the longest property transaction we’ve all been part of. Many hurdles had to be crossed but thanks to the dedication and hard work of these two individuals we managed to get to the end in a controlled manner. Both showed great patience and provided high levels of communication and information weekly over 7 months of the purchase. Communication is key to a smooth sale and even more so when things are not straight forward. I can certainly say without Alfie and Kathy this transaction would most likely have failed but they kept all parties well informed and at ease of what was unfolding at all times. Pleasure doing business, all the best.

TrustpilotExtremely Poor Service, High Pressure, and Misleading Contract Termination
My experience with Bridges Estate Agents (Frimley) was extremely disappointing and stressful. I regret signing their contract and strongly advise other sellers to proceed with caution.
