As a new tenant, I had a great experience with Hilton King & Locke. Jenny Hall was really nice, professional, and supportive throughout the whole process. She communicated clearly, kept everything moving smoothly, and made sure I understood each step. The process was handled very efficiently and was on point from start to finish. Anna Brooks, who showed us the listing, was also very kind and helpful. She was welcoming during the viewing and made the experience very pleasant. I have rented my flat for many years now,and for nearly all of that time I have had the good fortune to have had Jenny Hall as my letting agent. We could not recommend DKH Watford enough! In particular, Samantha and Rebecca for the house viewings, and Samantha finding us the perfect house for our family, and Rebecca for selling our property. As a team you both did the upmost best for us and were very flexible with our needs! Sam Dey was so helpful to settle particular matters and was always there at the end of the phone. We appreciate what you did for us! Lastly, Hannah - what an asset to the team. Personally I could not have gone through the final progression of the sale and purchase without her. Hannah was not only chasing enquiries and pushing solicitors, but she was my personal soundboard and I’m so grateful to have had someone so personable to talk to and go through things with. I really felt like Hannah made a massive difference to the entire process. You really need someone like Hannah when going through such a huge life choice! What can we say…… From beginning to end DKH provided an outstanding service. From the initial meeting with Sam, he gave us the confidence to try and sell our house, after two attempts with different estate agents. His expertise and professional dialogue helped to build our trust in the company and before we knew it the house was on the market. Both Samantha and Rebecca were in charge of our viewings. Both of which were very professional and were attentive to potential buyers and ourselves. They communicated and worked viewings around us, giving viewers adequate time to view our home and ask any questions. The viewings never seemed to be rushed. Within a couple of weeks our home was sold. This is where Hannah took over and oversaw the transactions, keeping abreast of surveys and solicitor searches. She ensured that the house exchange and completion went through with minimal complications. If it was not for Hannah tirelessly chasing solicitors, we would still not have exchanged and her determination and commitment to the whole process has been flawless and has not gone unnoticed. Hannah truly is a miracle worker. To conclude we would highly recommend DKH as an estate agent to use. They are an incredible team.

Hola! As first-time buyers, the whole process of looking for a home can feel quite overwhelming, but our experience with Darren Beckett has been genuinely excellent so far. Darren personally has been a great sales estate agent, professional, approachable, and very easy to talk to. From the beginning, he made us feel comfortable and at ease, which really helped take the pressure off such an important step. What stood out the most was how quickly everything moved. Whenever we viewed a property and asked if there were any other similar homes available, Darren would often arrange another viewing within a day. That level of responsiveness made a huge difference for us and showed how committed he is to helping us find the right place. We also really appreciate the fact that they are a private, local estate agency. The service feels much more personal, and we never feel like just another number. The whole experience so far has been smooth, efficient, and very pleasant. We haven’t actually bought a house yet as we’ve only just started our search, but the experience so far has been very positive. We’re definitely looking forward to Darren showing us more properties in the coming weeks, and if the process continues like this, we wouldn’t hesitate to work with Darren Beckett again in the future or recommend them to others. While Darren was very personable in person, he was rude in messages once an offer was made. I appreciate that my property offer was low and not accepted but the response felt very condescending and rude. As a young woman, I felt this was aimed more at my age and gender though of course with limited interaction, I cannot confirm this as fact. He didn't introduce himself at the viewing and appeared to dismiss me initially until it was made clear I was the buyer. As he owns his company, I was left with no resource to complain as to his behaviour except to leave a public review, which is not my preference but felt necessary. I would provide screenshots of the conversation except I do not wish to expose what could be sensitive price information of his previous sales. Frankly, the whole thing is just weird, confrontational, and uncomfortable. Edit: Just for clarification sake, Darren, the comparable houses we discussed were on the same street. The comparable you presented was a year and half old, while the ones I were discussing were from this year and were themselves larger properties and 20% less than the current asking price. I warned you we might be late by 5 minutes and we were in fact 5 minutes early. You also approached our vehicle while we were still in it without introducing yourself. Regardless, your tone was unprofessional and rude in messages, which is not disproved by your response. I am sorry we have had a poor experience with each other but I do wish you and your clients well going forward.

Texting me to offer my client an extremely lowest offer which was just 68% of the asking price was both offensive and rude to my client. Their words not mine. Apologies if you didn’t think I introduced myself. You sent me a text to say that you would be late and I waited for you outside beside the large for sale sign with my face and name on it. You presented me with comparables for streets that have different pricing and I’m sorry if you felt I was being condescending by giving you direct comparables of homes we had actually sold in the same street. Perhaps not offending the sellers by making insulting offers may have led you to a different outcome. I gave you lots of time, advice and was polite (as always) at my viewings, with the owner being present and also being happy with our conduct. We wish you all the best with your property search. As a rather inexperienced, accidental landlord I needed advice and expertise so I turned to Hilton, King &Locke and I am very glad I did. Jenny, Anna and Wendy are an amazing team. I have 2 properties rented, fully managed with them and the service is brilliant. I took their advice before refurbishing both properties and let them find and vet tenants. They have saved me money and greatly reduced the stress involved, their wealth of experience and expertise gives me great peace of mind, especially given all the recent changes to the rental market.
