As first time buyers, I can’t recommend Romans any more if I tried. We initially got a call from the team who suggested a house they thought we would love - I didn’t believe them at first! We had been looking for quite some time and we realised we were very fussy buyers.. well Romans completely understood our requirements and went above and beyond to make our journey to buying a house smooth and easy. I can’t thank Dan, Luke and Holly enough for all of their hard work, staying up out of hours to get the job completed, they really went above and beyond for us! So Thankyou very much for everything!

I approached 3 local estate agents in early Aug 17 with view to selling my property quickly and at the best possible price. After getting 3 separate valuations I chose Romans. The agent Tom was professional and proactive he also recommend he could achieve an excellent price. (he provided recent valuation & sale history evidence to give me confidence) In mid August the house was advertised and the viewings were very professional & efficiently handled, needless to say the house was sold within 13 days. I had the best possible outcome, property sold at the asking price on 1st Sep 17. Can't recommend them highly enough, give them a try?

I arranged a viewing with Romans Hampshire late in the day in mid October and Ashleigh was extremely efficient in getting things ready for me, especially considering that I was coming the next day from Bedfordshire. I was about 20 minutes late for our meeting due to traffic on M25 but her team was very understanding. I saw mortgage advisor Robert Wheeler who helped me get a better mortgage and then her colleague Melissa drove me and my friend around to view the selected houses.

This was my first experience with selling property, and I could not have asked for a better outcome. The property was exchanged and completed within five months of my initial contact with Michael. I was assigned a dedicated viewing manager who kept me informed about all viewings and responses. Additionally, I was assigned a dedicated move manager who assisted me with all solicitor-related queries from the buyers' side. This manager made sure there were no delays from either side. Michael's guidance in listing the property at the right price and helping me navigate my circumstances and market conditions was invaluable. We recently rented a property through Romans in Basingstoke. The agent assigned to us was Megan Cathers, All I can say is "What a STAR!". I had technical difficulty with the Romans Portal, Megan solved the problem after consultation with the technical team. She also arranged numerous visits to the property so the I could take measurements etc. I realised that I had left some items at my previous property and she organised a date for me to go and collect. Adam & Joshua in particular have been amazing through this very tumultuous journey over the last 13 months. Can’t forget Ollie in the earlier days and Izzy for a while too - all of whom helped us navigate a very difficult sale. Poor service - Lower Earley

Dealt with Adam Colvin, the manager of the Earley office. Really poor service in arranging a viewing. First, keys not available (told this 1 hour before viewing even though booked 3 days prior). Second, Adam called to re-confirm another viewing 2 hrs before appt, then on our way to the property, he called to say property not available. Very poor comms and service.

Please stay away from them

Please stay away from them! I am a tenant. At first, I was OK with the fact that they offer no real service. No information about the house's utilities. Only an exhausting, time-consuming induction process. When the tenancy started I kept receiving messages that I needed to pay the rent on time to avoid consequences. The payment was taking place automatically via a Bank standing order, created by an associate of theirs. Months of harassment and they never admitted their wrongdoing!Today they sent someone to enter my property, to check for a leak.They didn't have my consent!!!2 days' notice, and they come into your home uninvited!!!If you like being bullied and having people paying visits when you are not present, rent a home from Romans.

Jacob and the team in Caversham have delivered a great process on the sale of our property. Found a buyer quickly, managed the process smoothly and delivered a good outcome. I found their communication much better than other agents and they were able to manage around several issues that we had to deal with to get to exchange seemingly with no problem. We have appreciated very much the effort that Jonathan and his team at Romans have put in the marketing of our house. Their exceptional level of service and dedication of their sales consultants has been second to none. They worked very hard and efficiently to secure us our asking price ( within a very short period of time) and even though we did not close the deal due to some unforeseen family situation, we will definitely go back to them if in the future we decide to put the house back in the market. It is worth mentioning that we bought our house through them in 2010 and the level of service was exceptional and consistent even then. They understand the client requirements from both the buyer and seller side. In both situations, Romans went the extra mile to meet our needs.

Lower Earley branch - We cannot fault Joshua for his professionalism and expertise once we had found our next family home. He was consistent in his approach and explained the process and next steps well. He was on the ball when marketing our property too and remained polite and courteous throughout. Unfortunately things didn’t work out as our personal circumstances meant we had to withdraw early on in the process but we were impressed with the way Joshua dealt with it all. He really is a breath of fresh air and we are grateful.
