We chose Cousins because they were enthusiastic, very knowledgeable and gave us advice and guidance on how best to stage our home. They explained the process to us and offered a fair price which we felt was true value for money. We had spoken with other local agents that were more expensive and who valued our home at much less than Cousins. Cousins achieved a sale price that was far more that the other agent had even suggested we market the property for. The service is friendly and efficient and we are grateful for the support from all the staff, in particular Sharon and Natalie. We are currently purchasing a house from cousins and would like to share our experience with cousins and in particular Sharon on the sales team. Sharon has been incredibly helpful with the house sale, despite some difficult circumstances right now with the Covid situation. Always returned phone calls / emails promptly despite her really busy work load right now. Personally I chose to use an online estate to sell my house which yes is cheaper, but I’ve received no support what so ever after the my house was Sold STC. As the saying goes “you pay for what you get” and a lesson has been learnt I should of used cousins! I’m thankful I have a good solicitor and Sharon who has been keeping the Cogs moving in the Sale chain, without her dedication to her role I don’t know where we would be! Thanks Sharon and the cousins sales team.

Where an application does not meet the required referencing criteria, we are obliged to act in accordance with the outcome and the relevant provisions of the Tenant Fees Act 2019. We do not retain holding deposits without lawful grounds, and any such decisions are made based on the information provided during the application process and the results of independent verification. We take allegations of dishonesty very seriously and strongly refute any suggestion that we would seek to "scam" applicants. Excellent estate agents. Sharon Prestwood was really helpful in more ways than one, she kept on top of things and kept us well informed. Even on the day of completion she phoned us a couple of times. If your looking for an estate agent we would definitely recommend Cousin's. The photos were excellent, really made the property look great and the valuation was good too. Awful experience, we made a viewing of a commercial property in Stalybridge, made an offer on the property, got told it’s been submitted to the landlord with 4 other offers. Told we would be kept updated, only for us to see online ‘Let Agreed’. Phoned the office several times for an update, finally spoken with someone who said someone will call me back, still awaiting 2 weeks later…. Not a way to run a business, won’t be dealing with you again I’m afraid. Such a shame for a local buisness.

I walked into Cousins Failsworth after a break up with my Partner in need of immediate accommodation, I found the Staff to be extremely empathetic to my situation, particularly Sarah Bradbury who deals with the lettings for the company. I had my fingers crossed that something may become available quite soon but didn't expect the dedicated effort and genuine care that Sarah displayed whilst dealing with my application. I can't thank them enough for their warmth, friendly banter and unjudgemental professionalism. I'm not one for writing reviews but I felt I owed the Cousins team a debt of gratitude as the work they do deserves recognition and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sarah and the Cousins team to friends and family in the locality going forward. I wouldn't normally write a review but I thought I had to. As I'm not from the local area, I was looking for an expert to give me some guidance on a property I am looking to purchase from auction and came across Blake, a friendly and very knowledgeable gentleman. He was able to use his knowledge to educate me on the area and give me an insight into what the property demands and why it may not be a good investment for me, once he knew of my requirements. This was a breathe of fresh air as you dont normally come across too many agents willing to give up a fair chunk of their time to support as much as he did, especially with no guarantee of any benefit to himself. What a great chap. Blake - if you see this, thank you Sir.

So disappointed at them, I was there tenet for long time always waited for sooo long if any job need doing in the house!!! always looked after the house and always paid on time,, but in the end when I left the house in good condition they still didn’t return half of my deposit!!!! Every time I call they have different excuses for not paying my deposit back!!!! I feel like I’ve been robbed! Never trust them again!!!!

Unfortunately I didn't have Cousins as my Estate agent but I need to praise and thank Colin from there. He worked extremely hard went out of his way and worked overtime to get me into my property when everything was going wrong. I was able to get in under license late in the afternoon. It was going to cost me another £387 if that hadn't happened. He needn't have done anything as I wasn't his customer! SM

We contacted cousin to view a local property of interest. We arranged a viewing and respectfully completed the application form. We submitted the form and diligently followed up with phone calls and messages every other day for updates. We were informed that the application had been forwarded to the landlord, and we patiently awaited his decision for confirmation. Unfortunately, two weeks later, we were notified of an error on the form which was just an Excuse. We promptly rectified the error by refilling and resubmitting the form. Regrettably, we learned the following day that the property had been rented out. If you did not just say we will update you with an update and told us of the said error this could have been corrected 2 weeks ago to stand a chance in getting the property thanks again

We recently sold our house through Cousins. Right from the start the staff were very friendly and helpful. Sharon was amazing she kept us informed throughout and we never felt anything was too much trouble. Emails and phone calls were always responded to quickly. I can’t recommend Cousins enough, everyone needs a “Sharon” when moving house!!!

Had a viewing booked which i travelled all the way from London to view. got a cancellation email 2 hours prior - not even a phone call when it was clear how far i was travelling. update- Called me today (Sunday) asking me to remove the review. I advised my review is to help others when coming from long distance to be wary as i want to avoid such an inconvenience happening to them and he still asked if I could remove the comment as it hurts the business and went into a story about what it will do to them with 0 sympathy of the time and money wasted on this. I told them i had a confirmation email on the Monday and a reminder on the Thursday had a 4 hour journey up on the Friday and got an email 2 hours prior they didn't even have the care for their customers to call. Never had this before with an estate agent.

The worst experience ever had in my life they have tried to scam me inventing a fake ccj on my historic just to take my deposit I had to contact my lower and fight for weeks to get it back horrible customer service really the worst agency in manchester
