GoogleI rented a property for 12 months from Cousins and cannot praise them enough for the service received before, during and after my tenancy ended. I would have stayed longer at the property, however circumstances changed and required to move out of the area. Whenever I needed to contact Cousins, I was met with friendly and caring staff. Whenever they needed to contact me, the same. I've rented loads of properties from several estate agents over the last 15 years. Cousins are the first that I have ever had a positive experience with. I'm so pleased to have had the pleasure of dealing with them. They're a family run business for (I think) decades now. In this market with loads of corporate competition, having a family run business that looks after their clientele as they do, is clearly a good indicator the company will continue to do well for years to come. Prior to renting, Sarah completed the viewing and was informative in exactly what to do in order to apply, do the credit checks, etc. Very helpful all through the initial process. Such a friendly and helpful person. Once approved and in the property, if Sarah wasn't available, someone else was and knew everything about the property, who I was, etc. Teresa popped round to do the agreed inspections during the tenancy and like Sarah, she's bubbly, professional and knows her stuff. Moishe I had the pleasure of meeting towards the end of my tenancy and he's such a helpful young man. Toli was another gentleman I met who was also extremely helpful - I forgot to cancel my standing order in time, so I over-paid. Toli was right on it and helpful when processing my refund. I don't know the names of everyone else, however I've spoken to several members of staff who I've received the same level of professional and friendly from. Lastly, when it comes to the deposit. The full amount was approved for return. I've looked after the property in the same manner I've looked after all prior properties I've previously rented. Not once was I able to receive the entire amount back (without a fight at least). Cousins did their inspection and confirmed everything was in order. To whomever reads reviews like these, please know that I would happily recommend Cousins. Please consider them when looking to rent or buy.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleCan't thank Sharon, from Cousins, enough for all the hard work and effort she put in to secure and complete the sale of my mums house. It was a drawn out affair due to legal reasons but nevertheless Sharon stuck with it and made sure it went through as efficiently as it could. Communication was excellent as were response times in dealing with any issues. GoogleWe chose Cousins because they were enthusiastic, very knowledgeable and gave us advice and guidance on how best to stage our home. They explained the process to us and offered a fair price which we felt was true value for money. We had spoken with other local agents that were more expensive and who valued our home at much less than Cousins. Cousins achieved a sale price that was far more that the other agent had even suggested we market the property for. The service is friendly and efficient and we are grateful for the support from all the staff, in particular Sharon and Natalie. GoogleWe are currently purchasing a house from cousins and would like to share our experience with cousins and in particular Sharon on the sales team. Sharon has been incredibly helpful with the house sale, despite some difficult circumstances right now with the Covid situation. Always returned phone calls / emails promptly despite her really busy work load right now. Personally I chose to use an online estate to sell my house which yes is cheaper, but I’ve received no support what so ever after the my house was Sold STC. As the saying goes “you pay for what you get” and a lesson has been learnt I should of used cousins! I’m thankful I have a good solicitor and Sharon who has been keeping the Cogs moving in the Sale chain, without her dedication to her role I don’t know where we would be! Thanks Sharon and the cousins sales team.

GoogleAwful experience, we made a viewing of a commercial property in Stalybridge, made an offer on the property, got told it’s been submitted to the landlord with 4 other offers. Told we would be kept updated, only for us to see online ‘Let Agreed’. Phoned the office several times for an update, finally spoken with someone who said someone will call me back, still awaiting 2 weeks later…. Not a way to run a business, won’t be dealing with you again I’m afraid. Such a shame for a local buisness.

I had my fingers crossed that something may become available quite soon but didn't expect the dedicated effort and genuine care that Sarah displayed whilst dealing with my application. As I'm not from the local area, I was looking for an expert to give me some guidance on a property I am looking to purchase from auction and came across Blake, a friendly and very knowledgeable gentleman. He was able to use his knowledge to educate me on the area and give me an insight into what the property demands and why it may not be a good investment for me, once he knew of my requirements. This was a breathe of fresh air as you dont normally come across too many agents willing to give up a fair chunk of their time to support as much as he did, especially with no guarantee of any benefit to himself. GoogleSo disappointed at them, I was there tenet for long time always waited for sooo long if any job need doing in the house!!! always looked after the house and always paid on time,, but in the end when I left the house in good condition they still didn’t return half of my deposit!!!! Every time I call they have different excuses for not paying my deposit back!!!! I feel like I’ve been robbed! Never trust them again!!!!

GoogleUnfortunately I didn't have Cousins as my Estate agent but I need to praise and thank Colin from there. He worked extremely hard went out of his way and worked overtime to get me into my property when everything was going wrong. I was able to get in under license late in the afternoon. It was going to cost me another £387 if that hadn't happened. He needn't have done anything as I wasn't his customer! SM

GoogleWe contacted cousin to view a local property of interest. We arranged a viewing and respectfully completed the application form. We submitted the form and diligently followed up with phone calls and messages every other day for updates. We were informed that the application had been forwarded to the landlord, and we patiently awaited his decision for confirmation. Unfortunately, two weeks later, we were notified of an error on the form which was just an Excuse. We promptly rectified the error by refilling and resubmitting the form. Regrettably, we learned the following day that the property had been rented out. If you did not just say we will update you with an update and told us of the said error this could have been corrected 2 weeks ago to stand a chance in getting the property thanks again
