Edward Thomson of Strutt and Parker is the real deal in a tank full of sharks in the London real estate market. His advice when I bought a short-lease apartment in Cadogan Place was invaluable. I have since gone on to refurbish the property and extended the lease to create some real value. I’d trust Ed, whether on the buy or sell side. He’s in it for the long-term, and repeat business is his goal. A relationship, not just a quick fling!

A great service

A great service and experience working with the Canterbury Strutt & Parker team. Ed and Aaron gave a realistic valuation for the property and excellent advice in a tricky climate for selling. The ladies who showed the house on my behalf were also brilliant, getting to know about it to field viewers’ questions. My property quickly attracted purchasers and Ed worked alongside me as we negotiated an unusual timeframe for the sale and help to close the deal. Always available with advice, Ed also helped to smooth and progress the legal journey to completion. I recently bought a property through Aaron and can't recommend him highly enough. This wasn't a simple transaction, and there were a few points where it could easily have stalled. Aaron stayed calm and professional throughout, kept everyone moving, and worked hard to find solutions which suited both sides. His communication was outstanding. Truly terrible estate agents.

Truly terrible estate agents. For the past five days both my husband and I have contacted them repeatedly to ask for a home report for a property they're advertising for sale with no response. Recorded voicemail when you call does not return the messages left, and gives an office number to call if "urgent" but that number loops you back to the same voicemail. Nick, you suck at your job. The chat bot they have takes your request and doesn't get back to you. The number to dial via Rightmove gets you nowhere either. Honestly, if I was selling through them I'd be incredibly unhappy. Truly awful company offering no service to buyers.

Throughout the buying process, Isabel was professional and extremely helpful. She fully understands what an emotional endeavour it is buying a property, and also clearly understood what we were looking for in a family home. The team at S&P were helpful too, it was easy to speak to someone in the office, which definitely wasn't always our experience with other agencies. His valuation took account of all factors that could affect the selling price which ensured that we received the correct value from the sale. From the time an offer was received and accepted, the team frequently keep in touch to ensure all the necessary questions and documents were completed promptly by both sellers and buyers and their solicitors. Exchange of contracts took place within the timescale originally estimated with completion of the sale 2 weeks later by agreement of both parties. Strutt & Parker's team did and excellent job.
