One of the main reason my property purchase fell through is 'KnightsPLC'.I had a horrible experience with them for almost 3 months' during my home purchase experience that eventually fell through. - I chose this firm based on the recommendation from my estate agents ( a big mistake!!) - You cannot talk to the solicitor who is handling your file. Period. So no updates!! - It looks like that they do not have inter-department communciations. 'Searches' was done by another firm (lifetime legal) in which Knights PLC are panel solicitors. Lifetime legal was very responsive to my enquiries and they confirmed multiple times that the reports were sent to the solicitors. Searches department sent the reports a month earlier and my solicitor didn't have any clue. I have to finally follow up to obtain the copies of the reports and personally send them over to the solicitor. - Each solicitor, I believe is overloaded with too many case files and does not have the capacity to handle them.My case was unnecessarily delayed and the seller pulled out of the sale due to a delay in the overall process (mainly due to my solicitor). After informing them about the vendor pull out from the transaction (through email), they (junior solicitors - lol) still reached out to me at least twice (after a month or so) with further updates regarding my purchase process which clearly shows how bad they are with tracking the case files and their status.I wouldn't recommend them to any of my friends/family!

My new mortgage lender chose Integrar, which is owned by Knights plc. I figure they rely on such contracts, since individuals would never select them based on their appalling customer service. Sadly my experience has been the same as the many google reviews I have read. Despite a total of 8 emails spread over two months and over a dozen phone calls I have had zero contact/response from Integrar regarding my issue. Ultimately I have been charged an extra fee I am not happy with. I have also reached out to their parent company ‘Knights plc’, but over 3 weeks on from that email, they too have elected to ignore me. I have raised a formal complaint with the new mortgage lender who will take it to the Integrar seniors directly, since such behaviour is unacceptable and does not reflect their website description of themselves, quote: “a market leader in the provision of conveyancing services”. Far from it in my opinion.

Very poor service. Barely any communication, took on average 5 emails and 2 voice messages to receive one liner of an email, usually last thing so nothing could be done until the next day. Estate agency were told we're ready to complete, over a month later I ended up losing the property. I wholeheartedly believe it was due to the poor service I received from them. No foresight into what will happen next, or what might take longer so maybe should start that part earlier. Very quick to blame everyone else (Sellers solicitor (who to be fair, wasn't the easiest i believe!), mortgage broker etc). Absolutely appalling.

ATROCIOUS CONVEYOR BELT CONVEYANCING! breaches of GDPR ???? (sent another property owners details) given details that weren't relevant, not corrected or acknowledged when questioned, I ended up having to resolve. Bad communicators .......the list goes on! these people were a contributing factor i did not proceed with a house sale, still charged me full whack and not heard anything since they got their money. How, or why, i haven't decided to take to the Ombudsman i don't know!!!

Our house purchase has just been completed by the Knights team in Sheffield. Linda and Sophie dealt with it in professional efficient and friendly manner. They kept us informed at all stages of the process and were readily available to answer our questions. We would certainly recommend them and use them again.

Used them as they were recommended by Purple Bricks. Terrible customer service. Don’t return calls, emails get answered days later. They don’t seem to care that buying a house is the single most important, expensive and stressful event in most peoples lives. The paperwork they sent me was riddled with errors which I had to email them to correct on the day before completion! Even then the amendments were wrong. I woundnt recommend them to my worst enemy.

Great work from Kimberly Gardner and Cory Doran. They acted for me on a complex purchase involving a trust and a property that had not been transacted over decades. Very efficient. Highly communicative. Hungry but not pushy to get the transaction over the line. Will be using again (and indeed have done already! They are now acting on a B2L).

We are first time buyers, using Knights Plc as support to purchase our own home. Since the start of the process we have had to chase them up for responses, communicate between themselves and the housing agents to get some clarity/answers as they did not do this themselves and on top of that, we have had to figure out what each document is requesting as they are not wrote well! Our documents and contracts had spelling and grammar mistakes, missed my name out on a few occasions and have had blank sections on almost each page. This has clearly been copied and pasted from another document of the same housing association and they have not bothered to fill in the correct information!! They get 2 stars because we are somehow, still on track to make the move in date...

A truly shocking service, no communication, duplication of time and then reliance on poorly worded engagement letters to request excessive fees, multiples more than fees agreed. An organisation embedded in impact on profit and loss, other than service, value for money and customer relationships. Glad to no longer be a client and would advise others to avoid.

We recently used Knights solicitors to oversee the purchase of our first home, and although they did their job and the house purchase went smoothly, they were incredibly slow to reply to emails, and often ignored them altogether. On a piece of important documentation my home address was incorrect and we requested that they change it. After two weeks of waiting and emailing multiple times, they sent us the exact same (unchanged) document asking for our signatures. They were also often very quick to email us asking for payment for services to be carried out (searches, etc.), but we had to chase them up after weeks of silence to find out what the outcome of these services were. Overall they carried out the work of a solicitor and transferred the mortgage funds to the seller in a timely manner, but kept us very uninformed throughout the entire process.

Steer clear of this firm. Used them for a house purchase and due to incompetence at their end, we ended up being homeless for the night. Communication shocking, at times I really believed that I had been ripped off by a firm pretending to be solicitors. Made a complaint but they haven’t even bothered contacting me to resolve it. Loads of extras added on to their charges. Really nice at first but once they have your instruction they change. I would give zero stars if it was at all possible.
