Moving recently their Broadway Rainham…

Moving recently their Broadway Rainham property. At the beginning there are problems one after another. There are water leaking from the shower, tiles broken. Lot's of issues. Several people come and see but nothing resolved. At the end we have a guy called Simon who do the work. He seems very pleasant and nice guy. He is trying to resolving the issue. Hopefully he will do that. But I suggest persimmon should be better communication between their customers and customer service agent. Sometimes I feel ignored.

We moved into our new Charles Church home at Mascalls Grange in Tunbridge Wells, Paddock Wood and the whole experience has been amazing. Darren via WhatsApp and the sales ladies have done an amazing job at addressing any questions or concerns we had through the process and any issues we've raised have been heard and addressed. When we moved, Rob has also action any issues we raised immediately. From the house reservation all the way to completion they’ve been amazing. They are available for any question and contactable whenever needed, not to mention the fact of their builds are good quality. Both us and the children's like the house.Thank you again! Would definitely recommend.

Please do not buy from these

lease please do not buy of these people we’ve been in our house 2 years and had problem after problem. They will lie to you to get a sale. Most recent on going issue we have a bedroom that is so cold in the winter you cannot sleep in it. Yet they refuse to fit insulation boards and the insurance certificate is useless as they just agree with developers and agree the house is built to specification. Specification doesn’t mean it’s right. They also lied and said we will get an electric car charger but all we have is a normal house hold 3 pin socket. If it’s to spec they have lied at the point of sale. Took me over a year to get my flooring corrected . This is only the half of it

Mascalls Grange

Cannot fault Charles Church (Mascalls Grange) one bit, from the get go all the way to completion they’ve been brilliant. The site manager has kept us up to date with pictures all the time whenever any progress has been made. They are available for any question and contactable whenever needed, not to mention the fact of their builds. We are in love with our house and we wouldn’t recommend anyone else but Charles Church. Thank you again! Would definitely recommend to use this company.

Mascalls Grange Paddock Wood

It started off so well, now it’s a joke:Trespass and safety issues across my private property from day one, no one really cares and they even went around to my neighbours stirring it up which has made things worse - the customer services man is exhausting - it’s a tit for tat whatsapp extravaganza! He even suggested I should suck it up as Persimmon will make redundancies. Guess he’s first on the list!Unbelievably…..he then asked me to lie about completion of snagging - to make sure he hit his bonus targets. Don’t worry he said - you’ve got a two year warranty. I may have, but these items are SNAGGING 😂 When I challenged this he tried to make me feel bad about it. Again - a tiresome whatsapp tit for tat conversation whilst I’m trying to work and pay for this house. Exhausting.And two months in - still no rear garden turf as promised on day one. Have been living in a mud bath out there - but don’t worry the empty property next door had their turf laid so it can be enjoyed by no one 🤪So many minor issues that there isn’t enough characters on here to tell you. Water pressure so low, hot water for about 15 mins at a time - so luxury long showers in the bathroom here are not possible 😂 I could go on …Buyer - Beware!

Poor workmanship. Bad after care!

Staff lovely when buying home but as soon as deal is done and moved in they don’t want to know. Get fobbed off to aftercare team who are useless. Take forever to reply. No urgency. Kitchen has not being sealed properly and has pvc peeling off in areas where there is no sealant. Poor workmanship! Still in warranty and don’t want to know.

Since first paying a visit to the Paddock Wood - Mascalls Grange site we have been very impressed with the attentive service and detailed information received from Charles Church. Once we had decided on purchasing and put our deposit down we have visited several times and been given frequent updates, with both messages and photos, of the work being done in our reserved property. This has made the whole process much more exciting and we have felt very involved. Any questions we have had, however small or silly sounding have been answered quickly and we are very much looking forward to moving in.

After moving into a new house, you expect to be left to get on with it. But not with Charles Church, the day after we moved in we get a courtesy call from site ( as still building) is everything okay do you need any assistance. We could not really complain but pin pointed a few paint issues ( not an emergency) and we were sent 2 painters via appointment and what a great set of lads, polite, and very respectful of the property and promptly touched up scuffed areas. Had an issue with our tap, another prompt appointment and problem solved. Would I buy from Charles church again? Yes I would and this is my second new build. Well done and highly recommended 😀

6 days into my new home, a week before Xmas…wish I moved in later/ when the house was ready

I moved in to my “dream home” 6 days ago and a week before Xmas. I have paid nearly half a million for this house.Within these 6 days I have had the following issues:- tripped electrics for two nights, requiring emergency call out engineers to rectify and disconnect issues caused by Charles Church (a cut earth wire when installing an outdoor light and water getting into the light from when Charles Church jet washed the house). Sat in a dark house from 8pm- 1am one night and on our first night from 4pm-9pm until the cable was disconnected.- Contractors parked on my new driveway next to the garage door meaning I had no access to unpack and open my garage for a whole day. Only after 6 hours the contractor returned and no one on site could find him to move his truck.- last night (night 6) an alarm on the new build homes opposite us was going off from 7pm until 6am. I called out of hours to investigate (reference p8065) but no one came to turn off. I had to move kids to other end of house as the noise kept waking them. I was told by site it was more likely a car alarm but it wasn’t as it was from a closed part of the site and only stopped once workers returned to site.-My washing machine pumped fluid into my brand new kitchen as the plumber who installed put the pipes in the wrong ports. Once raised was fixed but even they didn’t understand why/how that happened.- A brick has to be removed to fix the outside light issue leaving a large mess that I was told would be cleaned but wasnt so I had to cleanup due to young kids and sharp items being right outside my door.All in all, my first week in what should been an exciting time has instead been highly frustrating and has hindered us being able to settle our children into their new home. Just not the start or experience I had hoped for when moving into our new home.

We moved into our Charles Church Mascalls Grange

We moved into our Charles Church property in November 2023, the process of purchasing the property was fairly straight forward, we had more issues with the property we were selling. Charles Church were always on hand to try and help out as best they could. We were not able to see our house until two weeks before moving, due to the building site we were unable to get to see it, it was lovely to see it once it was finally finished, we did suggest though that maybe a build progress update with some photos each month would of made it feel like we were a bit more involved. Once we moved into the property we had a few issues with appliances but Charles Church had this sorted by the day we moved in. The property is finished to a high standard and there are no major issues, just minor works which are in the process of being completed. Due to such wet weather after moving in, we had to live without turf for a while, with a dog it wasn’t much fun, but my best Christmas present was our turf being laid the week before Xmas. We are extremely happy in our new home, I would definitely recommend Charles Church, moving is never straightforward or easy, plus moving into a new build is never without hiccups but we trust that Charles Church will always resolve any issues we may have.
