In 12 weeks on the market I have not had a single call from Bear in Leigh on Sea apart from to book one viewing, or seen any evidence they are marketing my property other than putting it online. I called after 6 weeks and was told they would enquire with people looking for similar properties and get some feedback about why they weren't interested in mine. This never happened. I then had a viewing booked in after 11 weeks. They were a no-show and Bear did not contact me to let me know and when I called were not able to explain why this hadn't been done. I know the market is tough but I have had 0% service.

We needed a quick sale and contacted 3 different estate agents. I called Bear at the Southend branch and spoke to Ricky Foker and arranged for him to come round and do a valuation. He turned up promptly and exactly when arranged and immediately we felt this was the person we would trust with the sale of our house. He understood our needs and took time to talk with us and we could tell he really appreciated our home and gave us great confidence. I can honesty say the difference between Ricky’s approach and the other 2 agents that attended was like night and day! No comparison. Ricky quickly arranged the photos and particulars and I was able to speak to him about the details and get everything just as we wanted. We had a buyer in just under 6 weeks. Ricky is a fantastic negotiator and really worked hard to get us the sale we wanted. Ricky and his team at the Southend branch were all amazing and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

GoogleExcellent service from Bear. Jack was extremely patient with us and valued our house at exactly the right price point, and then did a good job of the photos. We had a steady stream of people to view - into a house that I didn't think would get that - and everyone was interested in the accommodation and there were no time wasters. Fees were very reasonable, and no requirement to have a board up outside. Buying, which we also did through Bear, was similarly excellent, and the team were always careful to listen to what we wanted and didn't push properties that didn't match our requirements. Can't fault them, and would use them again (although I'm rather hoping not to have to move again!). Highly recommended.

bear was actually working on behalf of our vendor but were actually instrumental in getting the entire transaction done. Their Senior Sales Progressor Wendy Baily could not have more helpful or diligent in getting all of the many parties involved aligned. She was hugely supportive to me through quite a fraught process and offered great, specialist advice.

We were absolutely thrilled with our experience with Bear Estate Agents. We had a complex chain to navigate, and without Zoe it simply wouldn’t have exchanged. She went above and beyond to help us overcome multiple hurdles, and she was a genuine pleasure to work with throughout. We’re so grateful for everything she did, I’m convinced enough to name all my future children Zoe… even the boys. ❤️

GoogleRecently bought a house through Bear in Hadleigh, and I have to say Bear - Megan Carmichael is a keeper! Do not lose her!! She really went above and beyond to keep the sale moving, going above and beyond by offering to drive to the vendor's house to collect signed contracts and hand deliver to the solicitors. I knew everything was in safe hands with Megan. When we come to sell our old house next year, we will definately be using Bear!

GoogleWe could not fault Bear Estate Agents in Leigh On Sea, Essex enough. We dealt with Megan Carmichael and the service she provided was beyond amazing. Communication was 5 star, her work rate was 10 out of 5 star. There was nothing we could find to fault her. No matter what time of the day we’d ring, we always managed to speak to Megan straight away, and she helped us through the whole process. Would definitely recommend and use again

From my very first meeting with Jack who dealt with the valuation and photographs, attended viewings and guided me through the process, right through to sales progression and completion with Megan. I couldn't fault them. Great communication from start to finish. Special thanks to Megan who worked so hard on the sales progression. Very professional and reliable. GoogleThis branch is seriously lacking professionalism. Arranged a viewing for a property which is located in a different city to where I am based. Everything was confirmed via email at least twice. Arrived on time to the property to only find out that the seller had no idea someone is coming to view the place. Apparently no one even contacted her. Could not see the place, which means I wasted hours of getting there and back + train fare for literally nothing. Sent an email to the agent I was dealing with from this branch. Not even an apologetic email back, let alone suggesting an alternative viewing slot. Complete silence. Probably the worst treatment I ever had.

The process of selling our property over the last 5 months was eased greatly by Bears Estate Agents (Southend-on-Sea, Essex) Progression Team" in particular one of the team, Helen Wilson. Sometimes the opportunity to speak to our solicitor was not possible. However, Helen came to the 'rescue' having already spoken or would do the job for us. She certainly kept us well informed.

This was my first time dealing with Bear’s and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I had an appointment booked to view a property with a staff member named Rebecca. I was running late because I got lost, but instead of calling me to check or at least letting me know what was happening, she simply moved on without any communication. When I finally arrived and called to explain, I was told she had already left.
