Bear (Southend) have a fantastic proactive team, and although you don’t get to deal with one person I’ve realised this is to your advantage. Each team member is highly experienced in their area of sales. From Rebecca who is always available to organise viewings and keeps you updated and can answer a host of queries, to Tilly in the progression team that works continuously to keep the chain going and communicates frequently and even Tom, the Branch manager, will provide support if needed. No wonder across the towns you’ll see Sold Bear signs!

Zoe and the Bear team were great, very responsive and very helpful. Zoe was great at updating me and when I advised her on the importance of my completion being a certain time she was making sure we got there and advising me on what to do! What I thought was a great touch was sharing a full list of tradesmen if I needed it which was great! I would definitely recommend Bear for anyone selling or buying. Thanks again!

The great part about using Bear Estate Agents was the service from the “ post offer” follow up team. I was selling a property. I dealt almost exclusively with Helen Wilson who did her very best to keep the deal together ( the chain broke down at one point) and to communicate. I called Helen numerous times and got through to her straight away. She was equally as responsive over email. When you are in the midst of selling/ buying the one thing I think is really important is feeling the estate agent is working for you and doing their best to get the deal over the line in a practical way. Good communication is key! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bear Estate Agents and Helen in particular.

I had heard nightmare stories about estate agents and the whole moving process, but that wasn't the case with Bear. I sold and bought with them and it all went so smoothly. From the first viewing with Rob (who was new to the job), to having my house valued with Frank and Marcos. Emily and Donna also helped but the best one was my Sales Progessor, Tilly, she was so on the ball. They work as a team and get the job done. I would highly recommend them. My son also used Bear. Placed on the market in Dec and sold in Feb. Brilliant. Thank you guys

I can finally share my honest opinion about this estate agent. I started the process of trying to get a place and although this company was begging me though I was looking at other places whilst I was in the process and they kept messaging me in the process of me looking and I ended up going with themwhilst I was in the process with them I noticed the most unprofessional behaviours in the whole time of my life and it was very a traumatic experience. These people are not supportive. If you want to work with an estate agent that’s going to be someone that is supporting the process for you. The people that will put you at ease because you really need people that will put you at ease. It’s not a joke. Get a house you’re spending a lot of money lots of money going left right and centre so you need people to give you peace of mind in this life. Whilst I was in the process with them. I noticed the most unprofessional behaviours in the whole time of my life and it was very a traumatic experience these people are not supportive. If you wanna work with an essay agent that’s going to be someone that is supporting the process for you. Please do not choose them from the managing director who owns a company and sure he has enough experience he does say a lot of things that are not even the honest truth you need to really do your research like let your lawyer coach you because they will be the people supporting you. All I’m going to say is that they made my process a living hell they’re not welcoming even on a day. I collect my key. Did I get my champagne? No, . a process that is meant to be so joyous to you because you spent your harder money to get a house in your name is something they turned into a headache to me. I couldn’t even be happy after all they put me through but God is bigger. A whole managing director Screaming, telling me to pull out , when it was getting Long winded, rude I will just never ever forget the experience but I’m very thankful that it’s done but I just need to make people aware for future

I have just completed on the sale of my family home, to say I am happy with what Bear have done for me is an under statement. I first met Roman, the branch manager. A young man with a wealth of knowledge and great ideas. I had four valuations. Roman gave me more information than the other three valuations I received put together. His photos and brochure he created was impeccable. Tia and Jacob kept me up to date with my viewings and feedback along the sales journey. I was always in the know and secured me a price I was very happy with. Zoe progressed the sale to a satisfactory completion, keeping me up to date during the business end of this transaction. For me personally, this was a difficult time. However, Bear of Hockley were simply sensational and made the move a lot easier for me of which I cannot thank them enough. I have already recommended future clients to them and will continue to do so with zero hesitation. Bears...... Thank you ❤️

Bear recently closed the sale on a family property. This had originally been on the market with another estate agent with little interest. The quality of the photos, sales and marketing process and enthusiasm from the team immediately boosted viewings. It wasn't a straightforward journey, but at every hurdle Ricky, Sydney and the team came up with reassuring and practical advice. Their communication is also excellent and I felt throughout they were really invested in not just the sale, but the relationship we formed with them as vendors. Highly recommend and won't hesitate to use their services again in the future.

Wow what can I say!!? I had a great experience with Bear estates from start to finish. I would definitely recommend. The whole team were amazing and always at the end of the phone to help. I would like to say a special thanks to Ricky who took great photos and sold our house. Even on his day off he stayed in touch to get the deal done. I also would like to say a special thank you to Sydney our sales progressor. She was always there for me at the end of the phone especially when we had a couple of hurdles. Througout the process she was so professional and basically did the job of the solicitors in my opinion… she just doesn’t stop chasing and without her it would have all moved at a much slower pace. She’s very good at explaining all the legalities and put my mind at rest on a number of occasions, all the time staying calm and positive throughout. We put our home on the market with Bear after trying for several months with a different agent who had brought in a few viewings but no offers at all (even though the house was in a good location and condition). Bear took new photos including aerial pictures with a drone and wrote a new description highlighting the advantages of the house. Joe showed the potential buyers around on our open day and we received 2 good offers from the very first day of viewings, one of which we accepted - a huge relief after 3 frustrating months with the first agent. Joe and Leigh-Anne kept us up to date with progress through until completion of our onward purchase, so we were very pleased with the experience overall, even more so as the fees were very competitive.

Helen in the sales progression team was excellent (So was Sydney when Helen was not around!)!I would say I'm pretty demanding but she was great, I really felt she was on my side, helping push through my purchase. She has bags of knowledge and sympathy, would definitely use her again! However, don't go anywhere near Dan at Tolhurst Fisher... lazy, inefficient, informative, useless! Helen did great dealing with this though!

GoogleThis review is to express my disappointment and frustration with the customer service provided by one of your agents, Megan, during our recent experience with Bear. Last year, my husband and I purchased a property through Bear, and unfortunately, our experience was marred by a significant lack of communication and professionalism from Megan. For approximately six weeks, despite numerous attempts to reach out via phone, email, and social media, we received no response from Megan. This prolonged period of unresponsiveness caused us immense stress and uncertainty, as we were left in the dark regarding the status of our purchase. It was only after our estate agent, Jordan Evans in Kent intervened and lodged a complaint with Megan's superiors that we finally received a response. Regrettably, Megan's reply did not acknowledge her lack of communication or the distress it caused us; instead, she seemed to dismiss the issue entirely. When we initially encountered Bear, Megan's charming demeanor during our visit to the office in Leigh led us to believe that we were in capable hands. However, her actions following the acceptance of our offer contradicted her assurance of being "with us every step of the way." The six-week period of being ignored by Megan was undoubtedly one of the most stressful experiences I have ever endured, and it was entirely avoidable. We are still bewildered as to why Megan chose to disregard our attempts to contact her, especially considering the importance of clear communication during such a significant transaction. While we understand that we cannot always choose the estate agent representing a property we wish to purchase, we certainly have the discretion to select an agency when selling our own property. Based on our negative experience with Bear and Megan's substandard customer service, we have no intention of entrusting our future property transactions to your agency. I hope that this feedback prompts a reevaluation of the customer service standards within your company and ensures that other clients do not endure similar experiences in the future.

I initially tried to resolve this privately, but after Bear Lettings doubled down on a 'thorough investigation' that ignored all digital evidence, I feel it is my duty to warn other tenants. This was never about £200; it was about the principle of an agency falsely accusing a tenant of being 'dirty' while they were too lazy to even look at the move-in proof.

We went through a more than usual stressful sale! and I wouldn’t have gotten through it without the professionalism and support from Helen at Bear! She went above and beyond and even when I nearly gave up she continued to support the situation. We got there in the end and I’m so grateful for all the hard work, commitment and perseverance Bear put in.
