GoogleWe arrived 7 minutes late for a viewing. Vendor told us the estate agent had come and gone, assumed we wont be turning up. At least try calling us? There was heavy traffic and we travelled 9 miles to the viewing. 7 minutes late is not that bad, you could have just reduced our viewing time instead. Next time just try calling the potential viewer they might not be that far away.

We are disappointed to receive this review and saddened by such comments we believe are factually incorrect, potentially malicious and defamatory. Once we have reviewed events for the day you were scheduled to view, we will respond in more detail.
Having examined events, we can confirm we did in fact call you several times around the appointment time. Our negotiator who waited at the house called and left you a message at 11:40 (you did call back but not until 17:17). Our office telephoned around 11:41, you answered then ended the call without speaking. Our office called again after you knocked the door around 11:59 and you did not answer. Your property is 4.6 to 5.1 miles distant, depending upon the chosen route, not 9 miles as you quoted. Our reasonable expectation and that of the vendor is for viewers to attend on time and as a matter of courtesy viewers should call the agent if running late or in this instance answer our calls to you. The vendor is within their rights to decline entry when someone does not arrive reliably. It is unfair to assassinate a business when you are at fault, we object to your untrue representation of events and have reported the review to Google accordingly. This viewing could have taken place if you had arrived and communicated as reasonably expected.

GoogleWaller and Farnworth were great when selling our house and would recommend them as the best local estate agent - brilliant team from the care (and time) taken by Adrian in taking the best photos and marketing the house, viewings by Anne which led to multiple offers, and the support with putting the sale through from Anthony (particularly when our buyer tried to lower their offer based on nothing last minute and he supported us to firmly reject this). They were also the estate agent when we originally bought the house and helped transaction go through smoothly.

They sold our house very quickly, at the asking price and the entire transaction was smooth from start to finish. Adrian was very friendly and gave us good, honest advice when it came to marketing the property. He didn't over promise in order to win the contract and there was no pressure to go with them.
The reason we went with Waller and Farnworth is because they are a small, independent, local business which means that, unlike many of the big estate agencies, they know the local market intimately and they genuinely care about their customers. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Were we ever to buy or sell in the area again, I would not hesitate to use them.

Having thought about this situation, our fair and reasonable response is to say our valuations are supported by comparable evidence of sold properties in the area, using the same method RICS surveyors use to arrive at a substantiated figure. In support of the valuation and marketing price, from a range of offers, the property was sold and completed to the highest figure and with your agreement. We did not share data beyond family who you were communicating on behalf of regarding their separate transaction and that transaction was proceeding at the same time. You did call, but we have clear records of communication with you, mostly in writing by email. It is such a shame that having dealt with you for some years you feel this way. We did call some time ago to discuss the matter but did not receive a return call. We would still welcome a conversation and you have the writer’s mobile telephone number should you wish. All the very best to you and your family. You will be pleased to know 'super-Anna' is still here and is still super.
