Bought our first property though them and they made the process very easy. If it wasn't for Khaleesha from their Woodford branch then we probably never would have gotten that property as she was very flexible in getting us a viewing so late on in the day! Khaleesha was very personable and knew a lot about the property and area. She also took time to get to know us and what we were looking for. We felt really lucky for her to handle our purchase.

Barkingside Branch

A big big thank you to Joe and his team at the Barkingside. We were desperate to find our dream house and were short for time. From the start to the finish, Joe and his team provided the best service to us. We were shown around different properties by the excellent Adbul who comes around so humble and we could see how much pride he takes in his job. Adbul immediately knew when we fell in love with a certain property and Douglas Allen made it their goal to make it our property!Joe is one of the most patient person we have met. Woodford office

After 7 months without a real offer on my house sale I thought changing Estate agents would do little. Steve Ford, came, he saw, he sold! He came well prepared with all the information to back up his claims to make a sale and to make the very best representation of my property. The property photos or the board never got out, they sold it the same day.Steve has the backing of a good network and excellent team members - sales manager khaleesha Said-Loveday has been an excellent and diligent support throughout the process. Also a mention for Keith Langford for chasing up all parties during the process. Thanks to all and obviously recommend them.

Disgraceful Estate Agent with no shame

In April 2019 a house came up for Sale on Mortlake Road ilford. We went to view the house and absolutely loved it. However.....Douglas Allen ruined EVERYTHING. Because we had a buy to let mortgage we were advised by Nabeel one of the consultants there that due to the property having polystyrene ceilings we were unable to buy it as when it came to valuation it would be a nil valuation. What a lie! I was advised by other agents that that should not have been a reason for me to be turned down. I had everything they required to buy the house...I even used their Solicitor which I was advised by Ali another consultant at Douglas Allen that if I used their solicitor I would be in a better position to buy the house as the sale would go through easily if accepted. My elderly parents loved the house we even put the highest offer as was told by Ali but Nabeel turned us down. He made us run around and gave the house to someone else. I compaoned to them and their senior told me that as the other party had all documents acted 'swiftly' the house was given to them. That is a lie! Simply because on the first viewing as soon as we viewed the house that same day we put offer forward and got our stuff together. They really upset me and my elderly parents. They promise but do not deliver. A bunch of cowboys! We did EVERYTHING they had asked and they turned us down. I think they get joy out of making people run around. They should understand that buying a house is a stressful time and they should help people fulfill buy their dream home not play chess with human lifes!

Completion on my dream property in under 2 months

Speechless. Truly lost for words, after searching for property’s in barkingside for months with no luck, I found my dream property before it was even on rightmove thanks to Hasan he worked really close with myself to understand exactly what I needed and gave me a call as soon as he heard about the property coming onto the market. We viewed the same day however was spectacle as the property was going through there new modern auction, however immediately Zak& Hasan felt me at ease and explained the procedure. I was confident enough to put a large deposit before completion and now in under 2 months have completed. Hasan was very helpful throughout I am convinced I still wouldn’t have found a property if it wasn’t for him. From the start she was in touch with me, updating me with the progress of the sale and also giving me good advice about things I needed to know, in order to manage the sale efficiently. As I hadn't sold a property before, it's good to know that there are nice people like Tanya, who give good honest advice to you with efficiency and professionalism. Viewing for a property we loved

I have been looking to move to barkingside for a while now and had done a few viewings with other agents that was very basic, after calling into the barkingside branch regarding a property of interest I came across Hasan and instantly felt the warm welcome from the way he answered the phone and the passion he spoke with. However the main reason for this review was that, during weekdays myself and the Mrs work late however Douglas Allen’s Hasan catered to our needs and done a one of viewing for us at out of work hours . This is an amazing estate agent with fantastic professional knowledgeable staff. I can not express how impressed I am with the service I have received from this place. Brilliant service from start to finish.

Outstanding, Thank YouWhile out viewing properties with Chadwell Heath office I met Michal Aloto at the open house, he discussed my situation and I had just put my property on the market with an online agent. After a couple of months I accepted an offer and when Michael was discussing new properties for me to buy said he thought the offer was low, he felt that he had buyers ready who could view my house and as it’s no sale no fee I agreed for him to come round. The first open house was a success and I got the offer £15,000 more. I had more viewers in one day than I’d had for past two months. Douglas Allen Sales Progressor Janine Briggs and also conveyancing and other teams

Last week I gave a review of the branch at Loughton and the team who supported me there through a sale which was very difficult due to leasehold issues, not Douglas Allen!I omitted to mention the fact that Douglas Allen have sales progressors who do a very valuable work! I don't know if all estate agents have these but its a very good idea!Janine Briggs, who was my sales progressor, was very proactive in trying to get information from my, then, freeholders, when it was very difficult to come by! Also when there was a delay due to a point not having been communicated to the buyers solicitors, she stepped in to let me know this and also worked with the solicitors and myself to see this matter resolved.As things got more difficult for a while, she continued to support as necessary and did a good job, as the rest of the team at Loughton Branch, in some very challenging circumstances indeed!I would also like to mention the conveyancing team, Rose, Mitan and others who were very helpful at various times.I would also like to thank the computer team and out of hours telephone teams, both of whom were helpful at different times, the computer team working with Andy Dumas at Loughton particularly when it was critical that I had copies of emails!Also the team arranging the photography were very pleasant and supporting in their time too, so it is only right that I should mention them also!

Great Support through long difficult sale, largely due to leasehold issues

I initially spoke to Will. While he did not conduct any of the viewings on my property, he remained supportive at all times if I needed to speak to anyone on the phone. Greg Moore, the then manager at Loughton when I first went on the market, was great at managing my expectations. Sam Senior conducted the majority of the viewings and was helpful at all times. Zik also was helpful when I spoke to him on the telephone. He came with Sam on one viewing when he was new so that he had a knowledge of the property when he came to do viewings, which I liked! The property actually sold after that but that is besides the point. When my first sale fell through, Greg and the team were quick to contact other viewers who had made offers and, thankfully, I soon had another buyer! When things started to go wrong because the sale had taken too long for my freeholders (I was experiencing long term difficulty with the service charges), Andy Dumas stepped in and went out of his way to liaise with the computer team so that I could receive copies of emails that had been sent to Greg Moore that were likely to have made a critical difference. I can honestly say that everyone was supportive and kind in regard to my situation as soon as they became aware of it. The fact it was a long and difficult sale was not down to Douglas Allen! It was a few issues that were outside of their control.
