Great experience-Epping branch

I just wanted to write a quick review as I have recently bought my first home through Douglas Allen and Jack Spittlehouse was the advisor who actually recommended the property that I ended up buying after carefully taking into consideration my requirements and preferences. He has been really patient as it took me around 6 months and plenty of viewings to find my dream home but I couldn’t thank him enough for putting me in the right direction. Jack has been professional and punctual throughout and always a phone call away to answer all my questions and I now couldn’t be happier! I would definitely recommend Douglas Allen and especially Jack.

Douglas Allen East ham - The Ace team

I have recently dealt with Maureen, Hassan and Nasir from the East ham branch. In my experience I have found them to be very friendly, honest and transparent in all our interactions. From the accompanied viewings, to the follow up, they took care and time to diligently capture and address my specific needs. How they conduct themselves professionally, the manner in which I am addressed and their attention to details definitely warrant commending! I felt very valued and can't highly recommend the East Ham team. Kudos to you, especially Nasir for being so patient and ever so helpful with me! Keep up the fantastic work and maintain the high bar that you have set!

I sold my house in January this year…

I sold my house in January this year through Douglas Allen Woodford Branch. Stephen Ford handled the sale from the start and throughout the process to completion. The buyers were first timer; a bot slow and pedantic. Stephen was an excellent professional in guiding both parties to speed up the process. Towards the end the buyers were a bit niggly and Stephen offered to go a put sealant to remedy the problem over the weekend as I lived in Nottingham. He went the extra mile in concluding this sale. My sincere thanks to Stephen and Woodford Branch.

easy transaction, made selling a house feel very easy with no hassle. first met Douglas Allen Chadwell heath office manager Michelle, who came to value my property which was one of the more expensive properties in the area, Michelle tailor made a bespoke marketing for my 5 bedroom property which worked a treat. we had received multiple offer within 3 weeks of marketing . Hasan had conducted all the viewings with covid precautions yet up sold the property to every viewer. we got an above asking price offer which they had negotiated and allowed me to get £10,000 more then the asking price. i cant thank Michelle & Hasan enough , highly recommend Douglas Allen chadwell heath office

I found the East Ham branch to be a bit…

I found the East Ham branch to be a bit of a nightmare and somewhat manipulative, first Maureen was really charming, and I realised later pumped me for info, about the lowest price I would take and saying fixed fees that turned out to be without VAT and to have all sorts of other charges added on. So fees were way more expensive than I had thought l. On the plus side they did get a buyer really fast, before they even advertised in on line and I was stupid enough to say yes at the bottom line which was represented to be the the buyer having scraped together every penny they could. (That turns out not to be quite right as they are going to remodel the house their surveyor told me)If you agree a fixed fee they work for the person buying to secure the sale and not for you. And they will put pressure on you to meet unreasonable demands even after you ah e formally said no via your solicitor rather than point out to the buyers that they are asking for things never normally done and only days before exchange and completion. In hindsight I would never again use this firm and have real concerns about the ethics of someone who isn’t up front about fees, hides the VAT and additional charges until you get the paperwork with small print and who is open about advertising at inflated price so that buyers feel they are getting a bargainAvoid fixed fees and they might actually work for you

Excepted an offer for selling my property at the end of July. Great, but things where moving so slowly, not being updated with anything, just was left in the dark. Then Linda came on board and things started to get moving, she kept me posted and actioned everything which had to be dealt with immediately, she really bent of backwards to get things done. Epping Brilliance

Jack was patient, waited and was charming when I arrived half hour late for my viewing. Thereafter the service from this fantastic team of Jack, Lisa and Liam just got better and better. Every call was returned promptly, every request was responded to professionally. I really felt like they were working for me when I was just the buyer. I hope the vendor reads this and realises how hard they worked to get the property sold at the right price for all. Cannot praise them enough. Is there a 6 I can give them !!!??

Worst estate agents in the country , dealt with barking-side office . And was gobsmacked to see how they do business , mortgage broker and manager does doggy dealings . Doesn’t have the sellers best interest at at heart . Only care about how much more cash they can make . Avoid at all costs , the broker Faisal , out right said to me give me cash to get house.

Great Experience

Jess, James and Kaitlin were brilliant. They provided us with a lot of information from the start, clear communication throughout and also the portal is great to track your viewings, offers, feedback etc. They were very knowledgeae about the market and even helped us by letting us know about other properties that were coming onto the market that could be a fit for us. Fee is on the high side compared to other agents but going with a cheap option isn't always the best idea as we found out prior to working with Douglas Allen.

Great Service through many challenges

We have rented our bungalow out via Douglas Allan, due to covid-19 we did think things would become difficult but Joanna Alexis kept us informed at all times. She found us a great tenant, and ensured everything was sorted in a timely fashion. We received our payment within a couple of days via bank transfer (which is much better than other estate agents who I have used in the past, who used to send me a cheque). When I got to view the property on Bede Road initially, I wasn't interested as such as I felt it's a property that has a lot of demand and I felt like with the competition I would not be able to win the property. I spoke to Waqas after the viewing and he suggested the VIP home finder service to me, a service where I could get into see properties before they hit the online market and he suggested to meet Faisal Noor, the in house mortgage adviser, once I became a member of the VIP service and saw Faisal to work out my maximum affordability, I made an offer on the property and it got accepted the very same day! Chadwell Heath Branch - excellent!From the time we met Michelle we felt we could just relax and let her and her team get on with the sale of our house. We had been with another agency and basically wasted the whole summer. In 3 days Michelle and the Chadwell Heath team booked in 60 viewings for the open day, then sent round 2 agents to greet the viewers while we left them to it. It was amazing, we walked away seeing queues of interested buyers on our drive. We love the online service, you can see the offers coming in and they certainly did, for the asking price and more. Our house sold to a buyer from the open day, basically 3 days to sell it. The team continue to help with regular weekly updates on each stage of the sale process. As we move towards the finish line, a big thank you to Michelle and her sales team plus Charlotte and Tanya for the updates. Have already recommended you to friends and neighbours.

My husband and I cant thank Douglas Allen enough, every one was so helpful, I admit to finding the whole process a bit stressful, however with people such as the wonderful Chelsea Baldwin on your side things were a lot easier. Adam Jabbar, Jo Butler and Dave Tomlins were great as the sales team. Douglas Allen isn't the cheapest in the High St, I'm a firm believer you get what you pay for, the fee was money well spent.... Rude and pushy staff

Dealt with the Saturday team Spencer and Alastair today. Wasted my time in bringing me in to tell me someone had put in an offer of the property I was interested. Rude and Pushy overall wasn’t interesting in showing me property’s unless I went with their mortgage adviser.Think this reply is absolutely ridiculous. There was no need to liar in order to bring in to your office, how does this have a ‘friendly approach’ when your staff are blunt and rude? No other agencies needed to find out if I am in a strong position, as I already had a mortgage in principal set up. This just show how unprofessional and inexperienced your company is!!
