Shockingly bad. That’s really the only way to describe Ian Gibbs Estate Management. Their service is unprofessional, unresponsive, and completely lacking in accountability. Communication is practically nonexistent. You can chase them for weeks and either get ignored or fobbed off with empty promises. Issues that should be handled quickly and competently are either delayed indefinitely or not dealt with at all. The level of disregard for residents is staggering. It feels as though they exist to collect their fees without offering anything resembling proper management in return. The sheer lack of organisation, follow through, and basic customer care is appalling. If you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid Ian Gibbs Estate Management at all costs. There are plenty of property management companies out there. Do yourself a favour and choose literally anyone else.

Daniel and Jonathan did a fantastic job in getting our house sold. They are professional and personable and were always quick to sort any issue that came up. They are incredibly proactive and on top of the complex process that is selling properties. I have used other estate agents in the area previously to try and sell my home but never managed to complete. Ian Gibbs made what began to feel like the impossible happen and I am so grateful for all their efforts and that we have finally completed and sold our house. If you want an estate agent who can make things happen Ian Gibbs, in my opinion, are the best in Enfield. Thank you Daniel and Jonathan.

I am writing this review to share the fantastic service I have received from our property manager Emma Barltrop at Ian Gibbs Estate Management. My Wife and I recently made the decision to change to an electric vehicle and therefore require a charging point to be installed in our parking bay at the flat. My past experience trying to get anything done with property management companies has been pretty awful so the thought of this really filled me with dread! Thankfully for us Emma couldn't have been more helpful, she actively provided us with information and contacts of who could help, clarified the information we needed to provide and worked with the Directors of the block to get the approval sorted for us. Emma really went above and beyond to help us and thanks to her we are looking forward to getting our charging point installed soon and enjoying our electric car! Thank you Emma!

Having worked closely with IAN GIBBS as a contractor for nearly 5 years, we have nothing but praise for not only the treatment of their blocks and residents but the relationship they build with contractors like us. I had a wasps nest at the rear of the property I’m renting, I informed the Ian Gibbs team whom had a few issues finding a pest control company, but it was well worth the wait, a fella called Peter arrived from a company called UK PEST CONTROL, (on a Sunday afternoon due to the fact I wasn’t available during the week) and had the issue sorted within 20 minutes, lovely bloke , can’t recommend them enough. We bought our new family home with IG Estate Agents early in the year and couldn’t be happier with the professionalism and responsiveness we received from both Jonathan D and Daniel C. Our main point of contact was Jonathan, who was a pleasure to deal with and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure all ran smoothly between all parties, even chasing solicitor’s for both sides when required. At the start of our tenancy Ian Gibbs seemed ok, seemed to fix most things ok but in my opinion when advised of drug use outside our flat, I felt the response was poor and unprofessional. Specifically Gill was incredibly unhelpful and in my opinion borderline aggressive in her tone. Threatened to attempt to charge additional days rent when keys were handed back early and honestly the only good member of staff was Sasha, she was prompt polite and helpful. It was a pleasure to work with Ian Gibbs. I recommend doing so to anyone looking to buy, sell or rent property in Enfield. While it is true that we bought the first house that we viewed with them, my wife and I had decided that come what may we would continue our search with our agent Jonathan because he was courteous, honest and genuine - everything you need when viewing properties or deciding whether or not to make an offer. As first-time buyers, we were new to the process and had mixed experiences of the estate agents we had encountered until that point. Jonathan remained in contact with us throughout the purchase, displayed a refreshing openness, and readily facilitated the solicitors’ searches and independent surveys we requested on the house that eventually became our home. His knowledge and sincerity put us at ease from the outset. We were in good hands with Ian Gibbs.

Very disappointing experience.

Communication has been consistently poor, from reception through to senior management. Calls are not returned, emails go unanswered for long periods, and when responses do come, they often fail to address the actual questions raised. There appears to be a pattern of deflecting responsibility rather than resolving issues, alongside a lack of accountability and follow-through. The overall experience has felt disorganised and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I would not recommend.
