From contacting them regarding the initial viewing of the property, the lady who I met there was brilliant answering any questions. The lady at the second viewing was also lovely, letting us have a wander round and discuss things etc. Further contacting regarding putting in an offer and the acceptance were so smooth and quick. As first time buyers we had no idea what we were doing but they were really helpful with everything along the way.

I used Cheffins Saffron Walden for the sale of my flat and Cheffins Ely for the purchase of my new home, both branches were great together, they communicated between eachother well and were very friendly. Cheffins Ely never stopped pushing my purchase through to make sure completion was made on time, the team really worked hard to bridge the gaps between solicitors. Dan Driver (temporarily filling in whilst doing his main job as sales negotiator) and then Neave Joyce were my sales progressors and they looked after the whole process very efficiently despite their busy workloads.

Although the sale took a long time (no fault of ours or agent but related sale), we found the experience we received from Cheffins, particularly the Sales Progressor Neave Joyce very professional and thorough. We were lucky enough to find our dream property via the Ross-on-Wye branch of Fine and Country. It was the end of a long journey of house viewings over many counties in the west of England. The team at the Ross-on-Wye branch were exemplary. From our initial viewing with Ceri to being met at the property by Patrick on the day we moved in, all of our interactions were very friendly and professional. Ceri was really good fun; we really enjoyed that first viewing. Patrick went above and beyond on our moving-in day by waiting at the property late into the evening to welcome us to our new home after a long drive across country from our previous home. As buyers, we couldn't ask for more. I think the seller should be happy too. The advertising materials for the house were very high end. F&C really do show off their properties to their best. I don't expect we will ever sell our dream home, but if we were to, then we would be using Fine and Country in Ross-on-Wye for sure.

I sold my home using Cheffins Ely in March 2024. With small agents it's often about one or two men or women. I'm 64. Cheffins have been around most of my life. Their resources and staff were reassuring. We sold to a vulnerable Man who had a raft of advisors to protect him. The sale was normal and progressed as expected. Then we were faced with multiple questions and a survey that raised more questions. We were two months into a bridging loan that was eroding our pension pot. On the eve of completion more queries seemed insurmountable. When all seemed lost Cheffins saved the day. They have a select team of experienced professionals who take over once your home is sold. Their job is to quickly establish a rapport with all parties and liase with each to make sure the sale concludes. They kept us informed. Just when we thought the sale was collapsing our Lady, Ms Neave Chambers took control. We had reached an impasse and the sale was dead on the eve of completion. Then I received an email from Neave. She said "this is not over." 9.15pm in the evening and Cheffins were in contact. Next day she negotiated with the buyer and his Solicitor. This went on all day. By 3.30pm an agreement was reached and we completed. When I asked Neave 'How did you do that?'. She replied 'I've been doing this for twenty five years'. And 'Cheffins give me the time and support to provide clients with a dedicated member of staff to make it happen'. What can I say? You get what you pay for. Mark Allder.
