Pat, David and team put my faith back in Estate Agents. Pat was my initial contact , clearly professional but not pushy (something I have experienced elsewhere. David then kept me updated throughout the time the property was on the market and was always well informed. Sadly on this occasion a sale did not materialise but Abbotts Ely would be my first port of call to sell a property.

Contacted them to request a viewing of a house they launched on Boxing Day, to be then told that it had sold almost 2 weeks ago. What is the point of launching it for sale 26th if that is the case? - Also still being advertised as for sale on Rightmove... poor agency manner and not sure how any of this benefits their seller.

OK so there's lots of agents out there but this agent went the extra mile for me during the ongoing dreadful times in the housing market while the Brexit fiasco continues. The marketing was changed a few times until I eventually had three good offers on my house. The staff at Ely were understanding and patient throughout, I would definitely use them again.

Despite not buying /selling a property through them, the amount of help and guidance they provided was immeasurable. All the staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and go out of there way to provide an exemptible service, thus making a difficult moving situation a lot easier. I wished I had engaged them to sell my property, as opposed to the lack lustre agency I was contracted with. Highly recommend them.

Buying and selling property is never an stress-free experience, however Abbotts go on that journey with you at all stages. Abbotts were great at keeping us informed with viewings and acted professionally at all time. Once we’d accepted the offer Mollie and Pat at Abbotts went above and beyond to keep us informed at each stage and act as a conduit between all parties when required. Poor service

I have to say that I have been very disappointed with your service for the following reason: We could have completed on February 14th (as our buyer desperately wanted) but because your agent continuously told the buyer it would be impossible to complete the conveyancing by then (and perhaps even lucky to do so in March even), it scared them into extending their rental lease for a further month and thus delaying completion until March. I was told the same by your agent but our solicitors said it might be possible and it has proven that it was. I was not updated at all by your staff over the progress with the sale. I was the one doing all of the chasing and updating you. On one occasion I went into your shop to specifically ask you to contact our buyer to see if he was happy with the completion date proposed and to exchange. Your member of staff scribbled a note on an already full scrap of paper and then clearly forgot as nothing happened and so I contacted the buyer myself. I informed you when we were going to exchange and complete and when we had exchanged. The only positive experience was Emma, who was good at what she did.

Fantastic Service!

Of the 3 estate agents I contacted to market my late mother's property in Ely, Pat Case from Abbotts stood out from the very start. He was professional and knowledgeable but not at all pushy. He valued the property at significantly more than other agents but I went with it since Pat clearly knows the local market better than I. Pat and Jack at Ely office knew I didn't want to conduct any viewings as it was a bit of an emotional sale and not once did they ask me to. They did six viewings on the first Saturday which cannot have been easy for them, particularly at relatively short notice, but they did it willingly. Their enthusiasm paid off and within days they achieved an offer at the full asking price from a cash buyer who was close to exchanging/completing her sale. During the sale Pat provided regular updates and was proactive in trying to assist with progress. The sale took just under 7 weeks from start to finish and I know that Pat and his team's help must have contributed to this amazingly quick transaction. I am extremely grateful to Abbotts at Ely for making what was a difficult time so much easier for me and I would thoroughly recommend them. Thank you so much.

I made the mistake of trying to rent a property through Abbotts. Their staff never responded to my emails requesting information. I had to call multiple times, and despite their assurances, they never followed up with me. Eventually, I discovered that the property was no longer available, but the staff never bothered to inform me. I only found out through a friend who lived in the same building as the flat I was interested in renting.

6 weeks without receiving my deposit back

Their agents have no idea what they are doing, I’m asking for my money/deposit back more than a month and no one is able to solve the problem.There is no a process in please to get help, they internal communication is completely broken generating burocratic delays for tenants.Stay away and save yourself time and stress not dealing with them.By today, I still not receiving my deposit back, and I left the property the 25th of May 2021.

OMG!LOOK AT THE STATS.BAD 78%Moving house they say is one of the most stressfull things you will do.Well abbotts norwich just made it 1000% worse.Fantastic professional words to suck you in to sign contracts promised the world.Reality,incompentent staff,left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.Misinformation to fob you off.In 3 weeks only arranged one viewing and they messed that up.Told me person did not attend but I proved they did by my cctv,agent not proactive or paying attention and let the person walk off obviously viewer bit confused was at correct address that's where agent should of stepped in.First lost possible sales and last!.Spoke to manager hoping to provide some constructive criticism and get this back on track with some explanation, OMG straight on the defensive and at my juggler basically calling me a liar!.I provided all the evidence requested to prove my reasons for my complaints and was just fobbed off and dismissed, all staff closed ranks.Have a email from abbotts the reason I was complaining was to be released from my contract early how insulting nothing further from the truth just wanted a professional honest service.Contract was terminated and hopefully I can find another agent professional and honest that's all i ever wanted.Complained to area manager ,was very helpful and understanding and said would investigate.I dont think i will hear anymore of the outcome but i am just glad to be away from there.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
