Special mention to Marion for initial advice and marketing plan, Jade Logan for completing the sale, and Anne Naysmith for conveyancing. We felt in very safe hands every step of the way - and cheaper than our original firm of solicitors!

GoogleUsing Neilsons as property solicitors for my flat purchase was the worst professional experience I’ve ever had.
My solicitor went on holiday for nearly three weeks with no prior notice, I only discovered this after chasing for an update and receiving an out-of-office reply. Even after CC’ing others at Neilsons, I was ignored or given vague, unhelpful responses until she returned.
When she did, the poor communication continued. I often had to research parts of the buying process myself, then forward that information back to Neilsons. Key steps, like preparing my deposit, only happened because I chased them with multiple emails. Responses were slow, usually at the end of the day, or days later, and often only after follow-ups.
Friends later told me Neilsons already had this reputation, but I didn’t see many reviews reflecting it. I don’t normally write reviews or complain, but when you’re spending such a large amount of money, you expect professionalism and basic communication. Neilsons delivered neither. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.

I contacted Neilsons to get a quote for some deed work - mortgage discharge and voluntary registration of our property deeds. I explained what we were seeking on the phone and got an email later that day from someone in the correct team but who apparently hadn't received any of the details for my request. I immediately sent her a repeat of the information and then waited. I sent a chase/reminder email four days later and now two weeks after the first contact have still had no reply. This seems to contradict the positive reviews Neilsons typically receives.

GoogleUsed Neilsons to wind up my father's estate. The account was passed around like a hot potato and eventually they tried to close the account without finishing, they even tried to get me to give the land away so they didn't have to deal with it. They were still happy to take the money without finishing the job. They chose one lawyer in the USA and when he stopped
communicating with them they wouldn't find another. I refused to sign it off so they just closed it anyway. Leaving me ( grieving) to deal with the most complicated part on my own. Took £24,000 for the privilege. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.
