Horrible experience. We were speaking to different people all the time, they made a mistake with our cash settlement for our house and called us the day before we were due to move asking for another £2,500. They then sent an email and it was now £2900. They sent another amended cash statement after we paid it and the figures didn’t add up. I tried to file a complaint and was just responded to email after email from the same person not explaining well to my questions and taking ages to respond. I would not trust this company with my money again.. very unprofessional after trusting them with so much money. Will never use again.

Communication extremely poor always chasing up over multiple days and never getting any answers. Lots of hidden fees that your not warned about by the house valuer . Promises a nice fixed cheap deal then everything comes out the woodwork . Constantly re-doing online forms even though they have been completed several times. 0 contact with the case manager . Firms in Glasgow and Edinburgh don't talk to each other so they have mixed information about where you are in the process and whats needed. Case managers and lawyers changed and your file gets passed around . Just an extremely poor unorganised company.

I’ve been trying to get a viewing for one of their properties for almost a week. I haven’t gotten any replies from them, all I got was an email where they asked me to fill out a form. I did, but they never called me back. I sent them and email and then booked “a call” where one of their employees would call me but they never did. Terrible service. Not recommend at all! They seem to be uninterested in selling properties. Too bad.

Conveyancing team is an absolute nightmare. We were recommended this solicitors for buying our first property and in the beginning everything was perfect with the solicitor putting in the offers for us, we were given some great advice and we were happy. As soon as we were handed over to the conveyancing team we ran into delays and problems while being bounced back and forward between more than 4 different handlers. We had no updates to say our forms had arrived safely or if our emails with documents had been received. We had to constantly ask for updates on the process as no had been in touch and their response time was days. Finally the entry date is a week away and they requested us to send documents that we had already sent weeks prior. The entry date was now 24hrs away and we receive the settlement funds bill and were expected to make a single payment over our maximum that was allowed to be sent in one transaction which left me and my partner stressed while trying to fix the situation in our working hours. Finally, we have had no handover or and correspondence since getting the keys. We do not recommend.

We had a great experience with Mov8 selling our property, especially the conveyancing with Leah McGibbon who acted with professionalism, care and assertiveness throughout. This was especially appreciated as we had problematic buyers intent on messing us around. Our queries were answered promptly and thoroughly. I'm using them to buy a proper now and will be using them to sell another property later this year. Having used other solicitors last year who were slow and probably cost us a sale, I'm really pleased with how efficient the Mov8 team have been. The property market in Scotland can be a torturous and frustrating journey at times and things can be lost in translation leading to misunderstandings. Given my experience with other solicitors, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mov8.

Poor communication and service. Cancelled a booking on Saturday. Verbally confirmed with the agent we’d like to move to Monday. Then I confirmed on Monday morning via a phone call that he’d be there. The agent confirmed. I travelled from another city and had my family meet me there. Only for the agent to call me and confirm they then wouldn’t be there. Dispute confirming that morning that they would be.

I have now sold my 4th property through MOV8. I would not use anyone else. The staff are amazing, friendly and keep you up to date. My last property took a while to sell but the team were on top of viewings. The only negative I have which is out of their control was I didn’t get enough feedback. For the price and service I would highly recommend you use MOV8.
