GoogleI sold my flat in Leith EH6 using Boyd legal as my solicitors and although the redemption figure was incorrect, the rest of the process was fine. When I employed them again to conclude a sale of a new build, the service was truly atrocious. Lack of communication, emails I sent ignored, treated like a third class citizen. It was so bad in fact, that Boyd Legal came to me suggesting that I find an alternative solicitor to look after my affairs. Dianna Boyd reacted extremely angrily when I said that I hope my new solicitor shall be professional and efficient. They wasted my time and offered no financial compensation, and got aggressively defensive when I complained. Avoid avoid avoid

My case was handled professionally and in an extremely timely manner. I was only required to attend their office once to sign documents and this was handled in an efficient and friendly way by Mr MacKinnon. GoogleHad to query/check every stage of the process. They initially sought a settlement & billed me at a date when early settlement fees would have applied. They retracted that, but lacked the courtesy to admit their mistake. I'm hoping the final transfer now goes seamlessly.

GoogleHad a horrible experience when letting from Boyd. The flat was in a terrible condition, the heating barely worked and the overall quality was just disgusting. Requesting any repairs did not happen and I was left with a barely functioning heating system and washing machine. When attempting to finally leave the property it felt my deposit was being held for ransom. Even after getting a cleaner out to professionally clean the flat they still attempted to chage me for wear and tear. It got to the point where they would not respond to any emails and refuse to answer calls from my mobile phone, I had to withhold my number for them to answer and even then I was given no little to no answers with regards to any questions asked. I would highly advise anyone to avoid Boyd Lettings like their life depended on it.
