The managing director, Diana, especially was fantastic. Legal firms conduct property transactions daily, whereas this was my first such experience, and Diana explained everything clearly and provided options and advice throughout the process. GoogleBoyd Legal were dealing with our Equity Release. We were in a new area that we did not really know much, or anything, about. Everything was explained to us in great detail - What we were proposing to do, The benefits and risks associated with this, Our Repayment Options. The whole process was covered including probable time scales. Absolutely everyone that we dealt with were superb and made my wife and I very comfortable in our dealings. GoogleWe were introduced to Boyd Legal who are experts in the legalities of Equity Release in Scotland. The service they offered was polite, friendly, efficient and completely hassle-free. The application process is fairly involved but Boyds made it flow smoothly for us and the whole thing was completed well within predicted timescales. At every stage we were informed in the most simple, friendly manner of what was required of us and of the stage we had reached in the process. There was never a time when we needed to approach Boyds to ask about progress. Amy, Peter and Georgia all offered a friendly, personal touch which was very reassuring. GoogleFollowing my Mothers passing I had to deal with Kelly, for selling her house and Fiona, for the estate in the Kirkcaldy office. Both made the process very easy during a difficult time for the family. Nothing was too much trouble for them and their professionalism and compassion was excellent. GoogleThey couldn’t run a bath if someone else put the plug in and turned the taps on. Absolutely hopeless, communication is a dirty word to them (2 of them who sat opposite each other would take weeks to reply to each other), don’t use them to buy or sell a property they couldn’t make it harder or more awkward if they tried, their phones only seem to work when they want to talk to you, avoid! Hilariously some of them left to start a new company (maybe they were the bad ones) and contacted me to offer their god awful services!!! I was then contacted by Kerry Wells and was given a sob story about how she’s new etc etc and would pay me to change my review. So even the new staff are dishonest.
Mr Spencer as discussed over the telephone (5/3/19) with our Property Manager Kerry Wells you have confirmed that you were represented by our former director Mark Hendrie when you bought a property 3 years ago. As you note Mr Hendrie left our firm shortly afterwards. We are sorry to hear that you received a unsatisfactory service from him and to learn that you had been contacted by him after his departure. We do take all client feedback/reviews very seriously and we wanted to contact you to explain the circumstances leading up to Mr Hendrie’sdeparture and the work we have done since to provide the best possible client experience. We have worked very hard on this over the last 3 years and have won several awards for our customer service and we wanted to reiterate that we are of the view that your review no longer reflects our current staff or the service we provide.
