From the first week we had an impressive amount of viewings, which continued until we sold. The team were always friendly and accommodating and we really appreciated their consistent communication. House got sold within a month and Standfords made no effort to call us on new listings even though they promised us first option. We where then accused of damaging the property and made to pay cleaning fees even though we reported these problems at the start.

Dear Mr Davis
Although we can fully appreciate your disappointment with the timing of the Landlord wishing to sell the property we had to act on instructions to sell the property. We did offer an alternative property however this was not suitable along with any other available properties at the time to your specification.
A full inventory was carried out on the property upon commencement of the tenancy along with a full check out report when you vacated. When tenants are due to vacate we always advise on best practices along with advice on leaving the property in accordance with the Inventory but naturally allowing for wear and tear. When you vacated the property it appeared that little attempt had been made to clean the property hence the landlord instructing us as the agents to make a claim on your deposit. Prior to a claim being made we firstly offered you the opportunity to attend the property to clean which you declined. The deposit was also held by the custodial scheme "Deposit Protection Service" which allows you the full opportunity to dispute any claims against your deposit with an independent adjudicator giving a final ruling should the landlord and tenant not be able to agree on a claim on the deposit. It is noted that you did not dispute the claim in anyway with the DPS hence the claim being apportioned. I trust this clarifies the position on your concern but should you wish to speak further at anytime then please do not hesitate to contact me.

GoogleWould highly recommend Stanford estate agent, we have just recently sold our property with them, we put our house on the market just before lock down and from first contact we couldn’t fault them. Fantastic write up and perfect quality photos taken of our property. We was very impressed by how professional they all are and what a friendly team they have at standford, no question was too big for them which made us feel as ease. Nick, Darren, Lucy and Pete the mortgage adviser stand out for us.
Once all the estate agents were safe to reopen, Nick was back working very hard to make sure we received the best service once again and did everything in his power that his team would stick by the new government guidelines as we was keen to get it all moving again. We sold within a week for the price we wanted. We would recommend and used them if we decide to move again in the future.
