The Team at Allen and Harris in Kilmarnock are fantastic. I want to thank Mazda, Sean and Martin who have been great support to me when I buying my property. Amazing customer service. I have recommended to my family and friends when buying or selling property to go see the team in the Kilmarnock office, they are the best so friendly, kind and helpful. Very happy with my whole experience with Allen and Harris Kilmarnock Branch: Fiona, Sean, Mazda and Julie were all so helpful in different ways and work really well together to help you with the whole process. Sean was very friendly and helped me in terms of looking for property. He was also helpful in terms of making sure I was being looked after by my estate agents. He is very approachable and relaxes you with the process. Fiona was so personable and kind, she found me a mortgage deal that fit all my needs and she genuinely cares about all her clients and wants the best for them. I would recommend going to Fiona for mortgage brokering services as I felt so looked after by her. Mazda has such a lovely manner on the phone and deals with any queries you have very promptly. He is always happy to help ☺️. Julie was also very lovely on the phone and when we had the chance to meet her in person when she let us view our home before purchase. Again she was so warm and friendly and dealt with any queries I had straight away. All in all I would use Allen and Harris again for estate agency dealings and also mortgage brokering services. I found many other estate agencies to be very cold and snobbish, but the Allen and Harris Kilmarnock team is very down to earth and looks after you.

An excellent experience from beginning to end, highly recommended! We’ve recently sold our home and bought our dream house with the help of the Allen & Harris Kilmarnock branch. A special shout out to Mazda who genuinely could not have been more proactive and helpful throughout the process. No problem was too big or too small. Another big thank you to Fiona who sorted all of our financial side of things and really helped to reassure us with any queries we had. A great element we found was the Help to Find service. The whole branch was so proactive and helpful with us finding our forever home, even to the extent of leafleting individual streets we liked the look of. Thank you Allen & Harris Kilmarnock!

As a first-time buyer, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Sean Turnbull from Allen & Harris in Kilmarnock was incredibly supportive, friendly, and professional throughout the entire process. He went above and beyond to guide me at every stage, making the whole experience much less stressful. His communication was excellent, always keeping me updated and quick to respond to any questions. I also want to mention Fiona, the mortgage broker, who was equally fantastic. She handled the mortgage application process efficiently, responded quickly to any lender requests, and communicated clearly throughout. I went to Allan&Harris on Albany Road, during my visit, Liam Tresilian made some racial comments to me that he clearly thought were humorous. He was laughing while delivering his inappropriate remarks, seemingly oblivious to the discomfort he caused. Instead of fostering a welcoming atmosphere, his comments only served to highlight the insensitivity that can sometimes be present in social interactions. This experience left me feeling deeply ashamed and very uncomfortable, as I couldn't help but question why such remarks were deemed acceptable in any context. It was disheartening to encounter such ignorance, especially in a setting where I expected to feel safe and respected. I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and kindness, and it was disappointing to witness such a lack of awareness regarding the impact of words.

Excellent service - I both bought and sold a house through Allen and Harris in Kilmarnock and the team are just brilliant. Fiona set up my mortgage, Natalie, Connor and Ben supported me through both the sale of my property which was quite an ordeal due to things outwith my control however they were brilliant! They were also the estate agent for the house i purchased- they were great at showing me houses that suited my needs and kept me informed at all times both with the sale and purchase.

Allen and Harris are a brilliant estate agent but I am really leaving a review about Connor Cooper their sales negotiator. This young man is just a super star. His customer service skills and approach to you is something I have never experienced before but I really appreciated the fact that he made you feel like you were important and valued. Some of the other local estate agents should take a leaf out of Connor's book on customer service. A huge thank you from me to Connor and the team and Allen and Harris!

The worst letting agent ever

The worst letting agent ever. They cannot manage your property and are very rude and provide the worst customer service ever. Being with this letting agent has been a nightmare, instead of helping landlords the so called letting manager Tiffany was very rude and explains she’s not a mind reader. She would never answer calls, disregard emails and also accidentally replies to a chain of emails to her colleague but includes us to say how we are ridiculous. Tiffany is so unprofessional and the service provided was appalling. We will never be using this letting agent and recommend not to use unless you want your house to be destroyed and not to have any support from the lettings agent you put your trust in to manage and maintain your property and to have the most appalling service. Stay clear and actually get your moneys worth with another agent.

As a prospective first time buyer, I felt out of my depth due to my lack of knowledge on the housing market, not entirely sure how I would go about stepping on to the property ladder. Having previously attended viewings and been unsuccessful up to that point, I reached out to Allen and Harris. After a short phone call, I was invited to attend a mortgage meeting with Fiona. Fiona was extremely knowledgeable and thorough in the steps I would need to take to get the ball rolling. This was the first time I felt there was any movement on my goal of becoming a homeowner. Soon after, I notified them of my interest in one of the properties Allen and Harris had listed. I was then booked in for a viewing with Natalie. Natalie was very insightful, giving me all information I needed to hand while showing me around the property. I was so impressed I submitted a formal offer and was informed that very afternoon that my offer had been accepted. Fiona then took the reigns, acting as my broker, getting my mortgage approved, finding the best deal on my home insurance, health insurance, as well as setting up my will. I can't stress how incredibly smooth this entire process has been. I'm now a homeowner, in a property I love and I can't thank Fiona and Natalie enough. I would recommend their services to anyone who might be in a similar situation to me. The team are excellent at what they do, offering guidance while catering to your needs, finding the right property for you.

Initially my home was for sale through Allen and Harris, Ayr, and my experience was absolutely terrible. No effort made to sell my property, appointments made by clients were cancelled by Allen and Harris with no follow up, and absolutely atrocious customer service. During that time the Ayr branch closed and Julie at Kilmarnock took over the sale. She was absolutely brilliant! Lot's of regular contact, always very polite and professional and just an absolute asset to the company. My experience initially was so bad, that I can't ignore, hence 4 stars and not 5. The lack of effort by Ayr branch over several months could easily have cost me the sale of the property. Had management stepped in quicker, or been more responsive to my complaints, I would have been happier.

Read the Contract!

I employed this company to sell a house. After 6 months and no sensible offers, I terminated their contract. A few months later, I sold the house through another agent, who were brilliant. However it turned out that the eventual buyers had seen the house originally several months before through Allen and Harris. The next thing I knew was their high powered solicitors demanding full payment of their selling fees, which according to their contract I have to pay indefinitely after they have sown anyone the house. This is criminal and they should be ashamed of themselves putting a clause like that in a legal contract. So beware, read all the small print. Don't use Allen and Harris as they are absolutely useless.

I recently asked for a Home Report to be e mailed, someone st their office decided to phone to arrange a viewing, they couldn’t get through because they dialed the wrong number. I explained I wanted to see the Home Report before arranging a viewing and adked, for the second time, van I have the Home Report, again this didn’t arrive, I gave it another go and still nothing happened.

Allen and Harris, WhitchurchJust put my parents house on the market with Allen and Harris and not impressed with communication at all. An Open House was arranged but on the day of the Open house no communication with either myself or my brother)who lives in the house) so I was a bit concerned. I rang the office and was told one of their colleagues should have got in touch with me to say it had been pushed back two weeks. I had not received a phone call or message of any kind. I was then told it was rearranged for two weeks later, again no communication and nothing materialised.Early days but already thinking of finding someone else to sell the house.

60% 1-star reviews at the time of writing, this should be the only red flag you need. Firstly, they mis-sold the tenancy, and assured certain facts that were conditional on my signing were true, that turned out not to be true. There is no way I would have signed the tenancy if they had not been misleading. When confronted, they made demands from me which were unreasonable, including ‘not to open the window’ of which there is only one in the apartment. Corey is especially corrupt, and the biggest scammer, stay clear as he will gaslight anyone and back track/say whatever he feels like to cover himself. Stay clear. Remember, 60% 1-star reviews. That is the majority of all reviews. Please don’t waste your time.
