Rino Russo was fantastic professional. Arranging surveys , valuation and finding a good tenant really on time . We bought property and was in process of refurbishing, he was following up the whole process and manage to find a right deal . Had many offers from other agents but chooses Stirling Ackroyd because of Rino & Chantelle service 👍🏽

I rented a property through Stirling Ackroyd for a year and the property was managed by Rebecca Haslem. My experience throughout was very smooth. Rebecca was always quick to respond to all my questions and queries. I did not face any issues with either the tenancy or the move procedures.

There were some issues during lockdown with a tricky tenant, and she was really informative and helped me through a difficult time.

Rebecca and her team have been nothing short of amazing and I would highly recommend Stirling Ackroyd (who have purchased Harrisons since). I’m letting a house through Stirling Ackroyd & paying 9% of the rent in management fees. For this I spend days on end chasing them to even reply to an email.The ‘carefully vetted’ tenants they found are trashing my house. I raised this with them 3 weeks ago & they gave the tenants 2 weeks to clean the place. When this deadline had expired I chased the agent to follow up - there then followed 7 days of me calling them but the property manager still did not respond to me or the tenants. The deadline they set is meaningless: why should the tenants have any respect for my property when the agent clearly doesn’t?After 8 days without reply, at 9am yesterday I called Stirling Ackroyd to raise my concerns with Natalia who manages the property management team and was told she’d call me back. She still hasn’t bothered to call me.I used to manage this house myself & got an agent in to lighten the load. Using Stirling Ackroyd has resulted in even more time, hassle and stress for which I’m paying them hundreds of pounds per month. They’re a complete shambles.

Tenant beware - unfortunately after a decent lettings process with Melissa, the move-in and management since have been terrible. There were a number of issues upon move-in with no response from the company including regarding statutory obligations (appliances not working, pest problems, unsanitary conditions, mould), with only a "we are understaffed due to COVID". This is ridiculous given managed lettings is the only part of the company with guaranteed recurring income. Just as one example, I have not been able to sleep a single night and have resorted to sleeping in the lounge due to a loud, broken fan in the bedroom. It took 1.5 weeks before Stirling Ackryod (Sarah) finally scheduled an engineer visit. Now the day before the visit when I called the contractor to confirm (after 4 emails asking for the contractor details), I have been told the appointment was never made.

House buyers survey done to a very low standard. I feel nothing had been pointed out that that we had not seen. Lots of recommendations to bring in other contractors. After getting the keys to property and spending a few hours in the property my untrained eye cracks in brick work as one example. If this is the industry standard it is a complete waste of money.

We noticed we had faulty appliances and we contacted our property manager Clive Martin from SA about it. Clive organised a contractor to come identify the problem the next day and the faulty appliances were replaced in no time. Clive was extremely helpful and swift in his actions, which made our life easier in a difficult situation. We find him an excellent manager who is easy to reach and efficient.

Spencer de Jonge has been our main point of contact, so far we are happy with the process.Overall:- Polite when showing us around, not pushy- Good at responding to emails- Did try to get us validated by their own mortgage advisor, but we had no issues when we decided to proceed with our own.

They promise one thing on the phone but do another via email, leading to confusion. The agents are rude and arrogant, showing no respect. They also use manipulative tactics to push buyers into overpaying. Save yourself the trouble and avoid Stirling Ackroyd!!!

Stirling Ackroyd were very patient and thorough during the sale of my flat. I found that everyone I dealt with was very professional and courteous at all times too. It was a challenging task to sell my flat during a pandemic, but they gave me great advice the entire time and really helped guide me through the process. Special mention to Sam Currie for going the extra mile for me too!

I've been renting my flat through Stirling Ackroyd for the past 4 years, James Banister is the managing agent of the flat and I can highly recommend him. He promptly responds to all my emails about issues I may have with the flat (e.g. hot water or boiler related) and every single time he has sent maintenance to fix any issues as soon as possible. I can always rely on James.
