They were also excellent with the sale of the house recently and Karl Graham especially was extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. Excellent service from Intercounty (Dunmow), selling our house. We certainly made the right choice.I know some folk are tempted to use an online agent, but probably not realising what a good estate agent actually does. It's one thing to publish a few pictures and description on Rightmove, but it's thereon in - once a buyer is found - things need to be closely managed, with constant liaison and chasing between all parties (especially where there is a chain involved - which thankfully there wasn't with ours). A good agent will be experienced in all the pitfalls, potential issues, and help to keep things moving along. The house we are relocating to (which we bought a few months prior to selling this one) was via one such online agent (the most well known one actually) - we were close to pulling out due to incompetence and lack of commitment on their part along with the similarly poor online conveyancers.....There's an old saying - "Pay up and look big"! Sometimes, you really do only get what you pay for. IMO, false economy!Intercounty (we dealt with Andrew, Liz, and Jenny - with Jenny our main contact and driver in our process) were very competent, helpful, and efficient throughout the process, achieving a swift sale and contract process through to exchange.Very happy to recommend, with no qualms at all!

I found Intercounty excellent in the way they sold a property that I own. From start to finish they were very professional which was especially pleasing as the property was previously on with another local agent who were completely useless. In particular I would like to thank Dominic who tirelessly to complete the sale, continually keeping me informed of the progress being made with Solicitors etc. I would highly recommend Intercounty for sales as well as lettings who I have used for over 10 years.

I have used Intercounty for renting out my property for a number of years now. The Management staff have, on the whole, been very good. Professional, helpful and courteous, particularly Dimple Johal, whom I could not fault and has gone above and beyond her job description. On selling my property the whole team were very professional and Doug Whybrow was fantastic helping move things along and assuring me daily in a professional but friendly manner. He nagged when I asked him to. He chased when I asked him to and even let me rant and moan proving to be a sympathetic ear. I hope he is appreciated and is given a pay rise in due course! Many thanks for all your help.

GoogleTom & Ed have been really good at sorting out the old and new tenants for our flat. Not a 5 star review as it's sometimes confusing who does what in the office and we are chased and give the same responses to other staff members as well. Make this clearer and 5 stars next time!

GoogleAgreed. Belittling and unprofessional to say the least! In the time I was in contact with them about a purchase I spoke to 9 people (Stortford and Leicester branch too) and not one of them was a qualified solicitor. I was nice to begin with, until issues were not resolved in a timely manner. It's not just management, it is individuals that make work very hard for first time buyers. One of the agents told me that the flat I was purchasing was going to go back on the market in an effort to get me to push the sale, even the seller was not aware of this. What's worse is it was still in the previous applicants name. This has still not been resolved and it has been 6 months since the purchase was agreed. Numerous occasions I tried to contact my "solicitor" (conveyancer) and numerous occasions the conveyancer never replied. Answers were not direct and completely without interest. Not sure why we even pay these people if all they do is mediate for the banks. You have probably paid a lot of money for their service so don't expect to get any help with aftercare. One of the staff members came in and watched the TV, personal items were moved, we let Intercounty enter flat we were renting from them. All trust was withdrawn and they were wondering why we were no longer letting them in unattended. I have given up contacting them now. I asked if there were any outstanding payments that were needed to be paid upon the purchase and they said "NO". A couple of weeks ago I received a bill for £550 for the previous lease holder in 2015. Called Intercounty, again, the conveyancer was not available and will get back to me... Forget it. Pros: Jenny is nice and helpful, that is all.

We really had a good experience of Intercounty from start to finish . The photos of the house and description were well- presented. The team took control of viewings with good attention to small details which helped to sell the property. Particularly impressive was the service after offer was accepted , coordinating with the buyers to smooth over the transition to exchanging contracts which could have resulted in a lost sale if it was not for the tenacity of the agent- and especially Jenny who acted as an intermediary at this time.

GoogleEvery call to Inetercounty branch was a pleasurable experience. From finding the tenant to handing out the keys, they worked hard and made everything seem very easy. I have been working with them for nearly 10 years and every time it is always a pleasant experience. I would not trust anyone else to handle our rental property. No job is too difficult for them.
