Brooke was fantastic from start to finish during our conveyancing process. She was always quick to reply and stayed on top of all parties involved - ensuring the mortgage was set up, the required council requirements were in place, and that everything progressed smoothly so we could get the keys as planned (even earlier than expected - as a bonus!).

Frequent communication and updates were a huge relief as I was heavily pregnant during the process an this rather emotionally and mentally drained. The constant emails and progress reports were extremely helpful and comforting. Ms McBride was exceptionally patient and helpful and overall faultless

If I could give zero stars I would!This company should not be allowed to trade. They are incompetent and that’s putting it politely. If you want to be able to get hold of your solicitor then don’t bother using these! They don’t answer calls, certainly don’t return them. Delete emails without even reading them. Complaining to the manager will get you nowhere because they will ignore you too! If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of already using this firm my advice would be keep on top of them. Which is easier said than done! Spell everything out to them. We almost lost everything because of the incompetence of this firm! They also “lost” our signed and witnessed contracts. Said they’d not received documents when I had uploaded them into their online portal weeks before, then them magically appearing! Most stressful period of my life!

It was a very long 50 weeks from agreed sale to completion but Sarah and her team continued to be professional and helpful from start to finish. It was great to be able to deal directly with Sarah or Danielle rather than always online and one of her team always got back to me if I was unable to speak to them at the time and had to leave a message. I would definitely recommend them or use them again myself in the future.

Started off very positive with updates and forms sent to me on a timely manner but as time went on and time became more pressurised and I needed answers promptly towards the final stages, I felt I was met with quite often vague responses and not all my questions answered. Completely understandable if I had, “let me find that out for you, I will get back to you as soon as possible” but quite often I had unanswered questions on emails and calls. I had to chase for updates towards the end too and often got communicated with others first and felt the last to know about some things via my solicitor. I ended up getting in contact with my buyer and seller in the chain which made things feel so much easier having the communication as I managed to give answers and get answers but there shouldn’t be a need for this. It seemed as though everyone in the chain was feeling similar from their own solicitors at other branches. My family also felt the same when they were contacted, they didn’t feel that their questions were fully answered or enquired about. I think that little bit more care of ensuring all questions are answered or found out in good time would be great and less vague reposes and need for chasing. Overall, I would use the solicitor again if I purchased a property using this solicitor at the estate agent but I would hope that I would have better communication throughout than this time around. I also was given less money back as initially indicated that I would receive and this wasn’t communicated until I contacted to raise a query with this.

Avoid if you want proper communication. You are unable to get hold of who you need to on the phone. They never ring you back, don’t do their job and leave you stressed and delays in house purchases. Spoke to Olivia once on the phone and that was on completion day despite our multiple phone calls and no ring back. Shocking company

GoogleWe recently moved out of a flat rented from Gilson Gray (on Arbroath Road, Dundee) after a 5 month battle to get a badly leaking roof fixed. Nothing was done proactively and I ended up dealing direct with a contractor. Gilson Gray passed the issue on to the landlord and did not step in at any point to help resolve the issue. They were more than happy to take a substantial rent each month though. I would not recommend renting with Gilson Gray
