Overall poor, bad communication and driven by viewings not sale

My property was listed in September, I had offers but was not entirely happy with the risk of one, though went with the advise of their branch manager. The communication and info was pretty poor, which ultimately led to the buyer pulling out in Feb, right when my offer on buying a house was agreed. Up to this point their performance was somewhat excusable, but Connells then seemingly chucked any random through my house without due diligence checks as to whether the viewer was in a position, or even able, to buy, which was extremely inconvenient. The feedback also showed clearly they weren't 'selling' the house, or answering questions, but this may be more a point on the viewers than the caliber of agents (who are generally pretty good though on occasion were a touch rude). This also meant I lost out on another house purchase.The past week, whilst on a training course working from home, I requested viewings to be cancelled, but Connells proceeded anyway, interrupting to a potentially detrimental result on my course. Once is bad enough but then two days later they arrived on another viewing, earlier than it even had been booked, that had also been cancelled, with my partner having just stepped out of the shower to see some random guy in my garden looking through the windows. One of these issues is excusable but not all continuously.I'd strongly advise using any other agent

This was my first ever remortgage, and from the very first call I made it clear to the advisor that I had no prior experience and needed clear guidance, step by step. He assured me he would explain everything properly but unfortunately, that never happened.

Would like to say that Connells helped me with the purchase of a leasehold property in 2019, and also for the sale of the same property in 2022. Will and James Both have been fab threw out my journey so far with letting my house out even with all my questions they allways help . Amazing customer service by Ben Huges at Connells - Stourbridge. Ben truly went above and beyond during my recent house move. When all other professional agencies (I say that through gritted teeth), solicitors , My estate agents proved to be incompetent, not interested and extremely lethargic - Ben (Connells - sellers) stepped in to mitigate these disasters in terms of both financial, and delay implications. He communicated so diligently between stakeholders, that he actually helped to minimise serious additional costs and inconvenience to my family. I won’t divulge exactly how much he rolled up his sleeves and helped, as I don’t want to set a precedent, but he definitely saved our skins. I was particularly impressed with his demeanour and professionalism, without sounding patronising he conducted himself in manner well above his years. I would sincerely like to thank Ben Huges in particular. In what was a cluster, attributable to other agencies, he, acting on behalf of Connells was the only shinning light of professionalism experienced during the whole 8 month process. I wish him luck in his career and hope that he swiftly progresses in to a more Senior role reflective of his talents. Sincere thanks Ben!

Extremely happy with my experience with Connells when dealing with James. From the very start of my journey when I met James via FaceTime at a property I showed great interest in, it wasn’t an easy ride. That was all over when he called about a property we may have been interested in, due to living a distance away my mum and dad went to the viewing and they met will who showed great professionalism. I cannot express the professionalism from both of these men together with them making me feel at ease throughout the whole process. We are very satisfied from the communication to the delays James made sure it was an easy process. We are a family of 5 and over the moon and gratitude for James and wills help. The journey we have been on recently has been a non stop rollercoaster and that ride is now over and we can enjoy settling in properly and getting back to great health. Thank you to you both for getting us here today. I can also say that the professionalism did not stop into my rented accommodation. Ive spoken with James a few times to see how we are getting on in our new home and the area. On moving day I was also happy with the process as prior to our actual moving day there were hiccups that got rectified straight away (not there fault) Feel at ease now and would definitely recommend James or will when dealing with Connells in Stourbridge. I highly recommend Connells Stourbridge! We are a family of 4 and got served notice on our last house due to the landlord wanting to sell. We approached Connells with our situation and explained we had been looking for somewhere and couldn't find anything with 4 weeks to go. James in the rental department not only helped us he went above and beyond to show us suitable properties within budget and within our window to move. It was a really stress and hassle free move!
