We just got our key today and finally moving in! I am very happy with the house we got to rent. The house is beautiful and spacious and we are very excited to move in. Thank you Connells for selling our house recently. Our initial conversation was informative and everyone involved has gone above to find a buyer. Kaya was always on hand to answer any questions and give important advice, and handled all of our viewings then gave excellent feedback after each one. Our onward purchase was slightly more complicated than we had hoped and the team did everything they could to make things run smoothly until moving day. Terrible company took two grand of my money paying for solicitors fees and surveys , search fees etc on houses I could NEVER buy due to them not being able to get me a mortgage !! I was told I had a mortgage with a company called pepper money only for this to be false information because of thier rubbish mortgage advisor Danielle had inputted all my finances wrong ! Due to this offices mistakes I have had the embarrassment of my house falling through. Connells knew I needed a mortgage to rehouse my disabled son who needs ground floor care and how important this was for my family but instead has just messed us around . I am still waiting for my money to be refunded and could take 12 weeks or more please avoid this company at all costs !!

Lazy and amateurish

Extremely poor, lazy and amateurish. It's hard to know where to start but I suppose we should have been wary when our initial documents arrived with my name spelt wrongly. When I queried this, I was told it didn't matter. Call me old fashioned but I like my name spelt correctly - especially on legal documents!? Emails were often full of mistakes and the branch manager even told me that the 'bass rate' had been cut, 3 hours before the announcement had been made - psychic apparently.

I have had the most terrible time with…

I have had the most terrible time with O’Connells. They forced me to use KeySafe, a company I found out later to be struck off by the FCA and not regulated. I am not internet savvy & found it stressful. Either that or I pay 12 months rent up front for my granddaughter. I capitulated & allowed a year’s scrutiny of my bank (twice for some reason). Six months bank statements, savings accounts, tax info, P60s, ISAs, passport, bills and more. I sent it all to them but they wanted specific documents, I did that too. They demanded it in Digital format & PDF files. I was exhausted, I told them I felt blackmailed & cohersed as I got regular Final Notice warnings that I wasn’t getting the info out quickly enough. They took umbrage & made me feel small, I apologised if I’d upset them and asked for help as my granddaughter was due to move in next week. Finally they accused me of lying that I didn’t know the internet & blocked me meaning my granddaughter will be homeless next week, I am devastated. I am only the guarantor and they treat me like this. They deny hearing any other complaint but mine, boasted O’Connels were best & biggest estate agent,

Although I have already sold we spoke about what connells do differently to other agents and I let him know that I would have been more than happy if he was the person selling my house. After many years of renting with half arsed landlords/estate agents we found the most beautiful property up for let in the middle of Kingswinford, with Connells in Stourbridge. When we first viewed the property in question we were greeted by Katie with a lovely welcoming smile, and a professional handshake, which was so pleasant! Throughout our process with this property we have had nothing but excellent service from the apprentice Katie. She has been amazing with us. She always kept us in the loop at every single stage of our tenancy application with a simple phone call, her dedication for her clients is unmeasurable, our experience with Connells has been so easy for us with this property. Not to mention after the years of renting prior to this, we have never had such a professional, easy application process like this before. Katie went above and beyond for us the entire time and we are so grateful. When we arrived to collect our keys for our move in date, Katie completed all of the necessary requirements quickly and we were given a move in hamper!! Filled with lots of goodies for us and our new home. Katie is an absolute CREDIT to Connells in Stourbridge, her professionalism and duty of care for her clients is second to none, that good that I never even knew she was an apprentice until i saw it on her email when we moved in! On the 31st of October 2023 my partner and I finally got the keys to our first home together. Kaya and Charlotte were both stellar, Charlotte was excellent in helping us navigate the minefields regarding mortgages and Kaya was so supportive and helpful. She put our minds at ease more than once! Thank you both, it was a long and turbulent 6 months but you both made it easier to bear. Connells even gave us a sweet gift box to celebrate our key day. The snacks inside were very welcome during the first few days of decorating! Thanks so much!
