From the initial valuation we have been very impressed with Karen and the Nicol's team. Sale & Purchase - Exemplary Customer Service

Our experience with Nicol & Co began 2 years ago with a purchase. This was a pleasant and friendly transaction and was the catalyst for choosing them as an agent to sell our house on this occasion. This was a reluctant sale, with very specific requirements for an onward purchase. From the first contact with the agent we were made to feel respected and reassured that however minor some of our concerns were they were not insignificant to them and treated with upmost professionalism. Karen listened attentively and gave balanced advice on how to proceed. At no point did we feel obligated or under pressure to chose this agent which was very refreshing. Once we had instructed the sale of our property Nicol & Co acted extremely efficiently. Karen and her peers obviously provide strong leadership as it was evident that each member of the team was briefed on customer requirements and had a strong relationship management ethos. Each time we called the office or met with an agent for a viewing we were impressed with the professionalism displayed. Within 24 hours of marketing we had several offers. The communication throughout was again to a high standard. Karen acted as our main point of contact. She was very personable and committed to doing a good job. We would describe her work ethic as outstanding, often working past her tour of duty to ensure client satisfaction. In parallel to the sale of our property and all within 1 week we made an offer on another house, by coincidence also a Nicol & co property. Karen also acted on our behalf. Waiting for acceptance was a tense time, Karen communicated daily without prompt to manage our expectations. House sale delight!

Nicol and Co, particularly, Karen Smith were the right choice of agents for the sale of my little Victorian house. My viewings were carried out with ease and feedback received promptly. Post offer, Karen stepped in when things were getting difficult and protracted with my buyer's solicitor. Karen took ownership of the situation and pushed for progress, knowing Karen was moving matters forward in her professional manner, helped reduce the stress of house selling and today, because of Karen's intervention and tenacity, I have exchanged on my property, meaning I can now start a new part of my life with my partner and children. Excellent service from start to finish

We have recently bought a property through Nicol's. We viewed several properties in Droitwich, mainly through Nicol's, They updated us with relevant properties, without wasting our time with unsuitable properties. Viewings were always conducted very professionally, but in a friendly and relaxed way. After agreeing a purchase, we were kept very well informed during a rather protracted period before exchange. The icing on the cake was a welcome pack, with a few useful items, but most importantly information about and some offers from local shops and services. My only negative comment would be their use of 'Offers Over', which can lead to a rather stressful bidding process. However, these seemed to be carried out in a perfectly fair and well organised way; and I understand that their job is to maximise profit for their client.. In my experience, Nicol and Co is a very professional, well organised, and friendly estate agent..

Fantabulous

The viewing was great! Everything that we wanted from the flat and from the agent. We were allowed a very healthy amount of time in the property to view it all fully. 'Amy Hall' the estate agent was extremely helpful to have with us answering any questions we had to ask. Amy would fill us in with property details as we travelled around the property however gave us plenty of time and space to explore for ourselves. Any questions Amy was unsure of she noted down and within 15 minutes of leaving the property I recieved a phone call with all the answers. Can't fault the viewing.

This is our third house sale using Nicol and Co in the UK. We have also bought and sold overseas. However, this is our first experience of buying a house, our family home, through them.......arguably the single most important purchase. Their structure is second to none. From finding you that perfect home to its viewing, it's negotiation on price, it's progress, every last detail is covered. Nothing ever seems to be too much trouble. In regards to their service/s we have worked with some firm favourites within the agency over the years, but more recently we've been fortunate to work with Paul Spregg. Paul is brilliant, he, in fairness, has probably pulled the short straw each time as he has accompanied us for the majority of the viewings whilst on our extensive search for that dream house. The enthusiasm, professionalism, honesty and fun we have had on our journey with Paul has been fantastic. His knowledge is extensive, what he doesn't know he'll find out, he has incredible patience, and understanding, always offers an option if required but most importantly he's always done what he says he is going to do. We needed to sell the family home after my Father died. Naturally a difficult time, with a lot of things to sort out. We saw three estate agents, all of the people we met were nice, but only Karen from Nicol and Co came across as willing and able to actually sell the property for us. They did the usual stuff you'd expect a good agent to do, but then they did everything else that you would want, and to date, Nicol and co are the first agents I've ever come across in over 25 years of buying and selling property who have managed this. They did EVERYTHING. They organised an open day, and hosted it. They accompanied every single viewing before and after, I never had to meet any potential buyer. Their various departments kept me informed at every stage of the process, and I really appreciated having experts in each department. And everyone was helpful, polite and prepared to go that extra bit further to help. To give an example of their helpful can do attitude: I contacted them one day after I'd been to the house; I couldn't remember if I'd set the alarm. Paul went round, checked the house was secure and let me know all was well. That is true customer service. Now for the result. Within a few days of the open day they sold the house for about 7% over the offers in excess of price. The way we negotiated the fee structure, we actually paid more than their normal fee, and it was worth every penny. Nicol and Co set the standard for estate agencies everywhere.

Fantastic service from a great agent

I needed to source accommodation for a new colleague at very short notice. Having been let down by one agent, I turned to Nicol & Co and received a brilliant service from start to finish. I dealt with Benito, and despite setting him the challenge of getting the tenant into the flat within a few days, he pulled out all the stops to make sure it happened. He was always at the end of the phone or email if I had any queries, and did everything possible to get the application and paperwork through as quickly as possible. That's what Karen went for me when selling my house. I was on with another agent who weren't getting the job done. Decided to give Nicol a go, and so glad I did - they sold it. Karen ensured the process went smoothly, dealing with any issues quickly & efficiently. I was then in a position to buy another property, Karen & Paul kept me up-dated with any new properties they had, ensuring I had early viewings., and quite a lot of late viewings as well - Karen accompanied me long after her day should have finished.! From the initial valuation through to the completion of sale I can't fault this company! Karen came out to do our valuation which turned out to be higher than other local agents I had round. She clearly knows her stuff and the current market as our property sold for the full asking price, much to our delight.. We did have a point when we lost our buyer due to complications further down the chain however within 5 hours they found a new buyer (from their books) which enabled us not to loose the purchase of the house we wanted. All the staff are very approachable. Nothing was ever too much trouble and all the staff knew what was going on in the chain. This helped when popping in as I didn't have to wait to see a particular member of the team. This team know the property market very well in the area and gave excellent advice throughout.! Unhappy with way that we were in a bidding round. Bid the highest, offered property and then had it withdrawn as we were not a cash buyer and agent was holding inaccurate information on us. There was no mention of other criteria being used until this point. Believe we were artificially used to up the price. If dealing with this agent make sure the terms of the bid process are given to you in writing.
