Professional and dedicated attitude

From the initial valuation we have been very impressed with Karen and the Nicol's team. Karen was extremely professional and knowledgable when she came to value our home and although we delayed a decision to put our house on the market when we did our instinct was to put it up with Nicol's. House sale delight!

Nicol and Co, particularly, Karen Smith were the right choice of agents for the sale of my little Victorian house. My viewings were carried out with ease and feedback received promptly. Post offer, Karen stepped in when things were getting difficult and protracted with my buyer's solicitor. Karen took ownership of the situation and pushed for progress, knowing Karen was moving matters forward in her professional manner, helped reduce the stress of house selling and today, because of Karen's intervention and tenacity, I have exchanged on my property, meaning I can now start a new part of my life with my partner and children. Outstanding service and value for money. Result.

We needed to sell the family home after my Father died. Naturally a difficult time, with a lot of things to sort out. We saw three estate agents, all of the people we met were nice, but only Karen from Nicol and Co came across as willing and able to actually sell the property for us. They did the usual stuff you'd expect a good agent to do, but then they did everything else that you would want, and to date, Nicol and co are the first agents I've ever come across in over 25 years of buying and selling property who have managed this. They did EVERYTHING. They organised an open day, and hosted it. They accompanied every single viewing before and after, I never had to meet any potential buyer. Their various departments kept me informed at every stage of the process, and I really appreciated having experts in each department. And everyone was helpful, polite and prepared to go that extra bit further to help. To give an example of their helpful can do attitude: I contacted them one day after I'd been to the house; I couldn't remember if I'd set the alarm. Paul went round, checked the house was secure and let me know all was well. That is true customer service. Now for the result. Within a few days of the open day they sold the house for about 7% over the offers in excess of price. The way we negotiated the fee structure, we actually paid more than their normal fee, and it was worth every penny. Nicol and Co set the standard for estate agencies everywhere.

Above and Beyond

That's what Karen went for me when selling my house. I was on with another agent who weren't getting the job done. Decided to give Nicol a go, and so glad I did - they sold it. Karen ensured the process went smoothly, dealing with any issues quickly & efficiently. I was then in a position to buy another property, Karen & Paul kept me up-dated with any new properties they had, ensuring I had early viewings., and quite a lot of late viewings as well - Karen accompanied me long after her day should have finished.! Nicol were selling the property I bought, again all phone calls, e-mails etc were answered quickly, Karen navigated the transaction in a very professional manner, from the time we offered to the time we moved in was 3 weeks ! I would have no hesitation in recommending them and would definitely use them again.

Outstanding service, company and staff.

From the initial valuation through to the completion of sale I can't fault this company! Karen came out to do our valuation which turned out to be higher than other local agents I had round. She clearly knows her stuff and the current market as our property sold for the full asking price, much to our delight.. We did have a point when we lost our buyer due to complications further down the chain however within 5 hours they found a new buyer (from their books) which enabled us not to loose the purchase of the house we wanted. All the staff are very approachable. Nothing was ever too much trouble and all the staff knew what was going on in the chain. This helped when popping in as I didn't have to wait to see a particular member of the team. This team know the property market very well in the area and gave excellent advice throughout.! We would highly recommend Droitwich Nicol and Co and already have done to friends.

A NEW BREED OF ESTATE AGENT WHO GOES MORE THAN THE EXTRA MILE!

One review but based on TWO experiences of Nicol & Co – so no fluke! A bit wordy maybe but surely worth just two minutes of your time given how financially impactive it could be if you choose the wrong estate agent! Throw away the stereotypical view you have of estate agents – I have! When this company was created it clearly didn't want to become just another option – it wanted to be the ONLY option through its innovative approach, amazing attention to detail and a genuine desire to sell your house for the best price and support you throughout the process. Would you be happy if your agent: 1. Not only valued your house higher than anyone else but also went on to exceed the asking price 2. Completed a sale subject to contract within 7 days 3. Kept you updated throughout the process and worked hard on your behalf rather than disappear as soon as the sold sign appears - if your agent managed to secure a sale of course. 4. Made you feel like a VIP when you attended their office. 5. Showed great empathy and took away the stress of selling a house so you could relax. Nicol & Co achieved all of that for me and more! Don't be fooled into thinking a good review is being written just because a good sale price was achieved – it's much, much more than that. Before I met Karen Smith at Nicol & Co I had dealt with another agent and came out of the market appraisal feeling very stressed and daunted by the whole situation. When I met Karen she promised a lot as all agents do. But I had a good feeling about her (aided by great evidential support of her claims) and I'm so glad I put my trust in her and my instincts. She brought together an amazing mix of professionalism, local knowledge and empathy which resulted in a house sale that was so unbelievably easy for me as the seller – something I could never have imagined writing. Of course I know that selling my house was a team effort and the office was so friendly with everyone on the sales team having knowledge of my property – what a great impression for any potential buyer I thought. Normally, when I enter an estate agent's office it feels like you've walked in on something and you stand there waiting until they are ready to speak to you and ask you what you want. So it was somewhat of a surprise when I walked up to the entrance of Nicol & Co's Droitwich office and found Paul Spregg already standing and ready to greet me when I entered. Outstanding professionalism-Karen Smith

Having recently inherited my late father's property in Droitwich, I was placed in a situation I had not previously dealt with, that of selling a property. The property is located within a retirement estate and upon asking the estate manager, the recommendation of Nicol & Co was provided. I contacted Nicol & Co and spoke with Karen Smith, whom from the outset helped allay my apprehension and also was keen, polite and of the most import, erudite. I had a few options regarding the choice of estate agencies and whilst there was a difference in rates, when my final decision was made, it was predominantly influenced by Karen's knowledge and Karen's polite and extremely helpful demeanour. I have posed Karen many a question regarding the sale process, even one regarding a minor difference of opinion between siblings and Karen acquitted herself admirably (and in the case of the difference of opinion, diplomatically!) with her answers. Based on my experience, Nicol & Co have an exemplary employee in Karen Smith and as a client I'm exceedingly grateful to Karen.
