Not what I had expected and limited overall . interviewed but limited as I assumed it was for a part time position but actual vacancy was for casual hours or as and when needed , which was effectively zero-hours which doesn't suit anyone. Bizarre way to go about recruitment and misleading . waste of time

Great news today they cancel a rain guard being put on back door as the gap under back door us so big I have rain comng in, the part didn't come in, pmsl are you kidding me? No heat, rain coming in door, no fire door, no co2 detector, bare wires coming out of wall.Pigstys for people deny this at your peril, I'm in touch with your custo.er focus group, you are and have been aware 6 months of these things, but still you let a little disabled lady sit with no valid heating, these energy vouchers you offered a month ago nowhere, you have done NOTHING, why because your slogan is why " community doesn't matter" that's more like the truthYes I am also on your vulnerable list, but you don't care

TrustpilotThis company has no regard for existing…
This company has no regard for existing property owners or tennants. They open up their housing to absolutely anyone. The house they occupied is basically a drug den. Police are there daily, shouting and screaming in the cul-de-sac, windows smashed etc. It took a turn for the worse last week when a neighbour was taken hostage in that house - literally was tied up. PforP have acknowledged that there is an issue with their tennants, but dont seem to want to do anything about it. They need to consider people who have worked hard all their life just to buy a home in what was a perfectly good area.

TrustpilotThey are okay
They are okay. I’m not very happy with the quality of their repairs, I had to re-silicone the bath tub’s edge as it kept leaking, even after their repair. But at least they found the problem for me.I have to add, I was very amazed and am still very grateful for the new staircase they put in. The last one wasn’t level and (as it turned out) the banister wasn’t according current regulations, but at first they weren’t going to replace it, but somehow it got done. So I thank PfP for that one!

TrustpilotOperational Chaos
Damp, mould and peeling ceiling paper still awaiting attention two years after it was reported.Window Cleaning that is included in RENT does not take place.Necessary tree surgery that is reported is ignored !Home visits from Estate Management staff to elderly residents are not known to take place on a regular basis.Hostile tenants who abuse residents are never evicted, even when local Police recommend it.If there were a gas explosion that destroyed property and killed/maimed residents, I doubt we would see any Management representatives attend the scene !!!!

TrustpilotDon’t rent from them , they don’t care!
**Review:**If you value your safety and well-being, **stay far away from this place**. We've been here for over 3 years, and from the very beginning, we have been living in constant danger. **Every time it rains, the water leaks into the sockets**, creating an electrical hazard that could start a fire at any moment. This is not a new issue. **The management has known about it for years**, long before we moved in, as the previous tenants dealt with this for at least 5 years. Despite **constant complaints**, nothing has been done to fix the issue. On top of that, **mold has taken over the house**, making it impossible to live in a healthy environment. You'd think they’d take action with all these problems piling up, but they just don’t care. We’re on the **6th floor**, and the lack of proper insulation means we freeze in the winter. The heating system is a joke, and they’re well aware of it.The negligence and disregard for tenant safety are unbelievable. **This place is a disaster waiting to happen**, and they don’t care who gets hurt. Avoid this place at all costs!

TrustpilotDoes not turn up when supposed to
I have now been waiting a year to have my back drain cleaned out. And I realise there are other issues, but to keep getting dates, then the day before texting to say it won't be done due to sickness, I think is poor. I have explained on numerous occasions that my back passage gets flooded out when we have heavy rainfall. Asy bungalow is tiny I have to need to store things there and so far I have had to throw so many things away. I find it extremely infuriating.

TrustpilotIt's like trying to get blood out of a stone!!!!
For the last few tears I've been trying to get the trees that are in front of my property cut down to a lower hight. They're over 30ft tall and it's like living in a cage all year round. I've taken my nets down to let extra light in and I'm still using lights during the day. We pay a maintenance fee in with our rent and owner occupiers also pay this. There are certain spots that the gardeners or anyone else for that matter pay absolute no attention whatsoever!!!! Where I live is one of these areas....I can understand why people don't want to pay ther maintenance fee because we're not getting the service that we supposedly pay for!!!! My complaint has been closed and they still haven't cut the trees down. Would have better chance getting blood out of a stone. Been in this property for 27 years and the last time these trees were cropped down was in 2015!!!!!! Didn't go back far enough for me to put the date of experience in!!!!!!

I became a tenant on 2nd June 2024 there were nothing but problems from the start i wasnt provided the correect information on shower, Heating, I have asked for jobs to be done but it now has become a formal complaint but even complaining you have to queue up.I have read the response from places for people and they just don't get it at all, when you have one problem you get in a queue, when you have several problems, you formally complain, when you complain you have to go on another queue, pathetic service and no idea of customer/ client needs. This business needs a root and branch overhaul.

Well for one me and the wife have been married for 18 years and have asked for the names on the tenancy to be changed, from Linda Graves to Linda Docherty and it hasn't.We work on a monthly pay system where sometimes there's 5 Weeks in a month so we are a week behind before paying the rent and we always get letters to tell us we are in dept.We have been tennants for coming up to 27 years and never had a paint brush on the exterior of the property and never had our kitchen or bathroom with any modernization and certainly no invitation of purchasing the said property. Many thanks.

TrustpilotDissatisfied tenant
Over the past few years I have been dissatisfied with the repair service. It took 4 months to repair my bedroom ceiling because of dampness and mould the ceiling fell in. Ive now had 3 different dates to repair the living room door, each date I was given I’ve had to change my arrangements for that day to make sure I was at home for the joiner to turn up and they never did.😡 I don’t have any faith in anyone turning up in November either it’s ridiculous that it takes 3/4 for a simple joinery repair.

TrustpilotNotice of dissatisfaction …
We have been tenants for 25 plus years and the house was 20 years old when we moved in and we still have the original kitchen which is no longer fit for purpose and our new neighbours in our street have had there's replaced, we was told in Dec 2023 we was to have a new kitchen, we are now almost in October 2024 and we are still waiting and despite 2 visits to inspect the kitchen we are still waiting,it seems new tenants are pushed to the head of the queue whilst we are not treated on par, and we suffered a gas leak at the meter point, which you rerouted and capped off into our kitchen, we have now purchased a new cooker to go in our long awaited new kitchen which can't be plumbed in as there is no supply to the kitchen which has been reported twice and told to the engineer who carried out our recent gas inspection.the kitchen cupboards do not meet current regulations and are falling apart after numerous temporary repairs, your gas inspector and the man we paid to install our cooker both advised that the cupboards don't meet regulations. We have paid money for an appliance that can't be used and paid for an installation which could not be completed due to the cupboards AND no gas supply, all reports and complaints have either been ignored, fallen on deaf ears, or put on a back burner (pun intended) I have suffered a stroke and cannot safely use the kitchen due to the state of repair of the kitchen which is having an effect on my physical recovery and is now causing unnecessary mental anguish, we feel we have been more than patient and following advice we are seeking the intervention of our local MP who will no doubt be happy to list all the regulations that have been broken by you as our landlords, I would like this complaint escalated ASAP and would like a customer complaint number as a reference, as we feel we are being discriminated against, and a copy of this will be attached to the email submitted to our MP.

After an accounts manager made two large unauthorised withdrawals from my bank account and spoke to me with a God Complex and obtuse attitude not letting me speak I was left with an unauthorised bank overdraft and no money for food I was left in a state of panic, I do hope my complaint about her was given attention and the recorded phone calls were listened to. luckily my bank managed to retrieve one of the unauthorised withdrawels and subsequently cancelled my direct debit. I have now decided to pay manually to avoid this travesty happening again, it's such a shame that one employee can blight the reputation of this excellent establishment I have been with Places for People for 36 years and love my home, the staff are respectful and helped me resolve this upsetting situation, I would like to give special thanks to customer services members Jake Wood and Taylor Wilson for going above and beyond helping me back on track, 🌟🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Housing officer, the lady who did the contract, area warden, heating team, repairs, many of customer service, BTW some are plain rude, and the surveyor who checks the gardens, they have all been made aware, if there's a single person I've forgotten, please, point me in their direction, but you still haven't even replaced the gas box like you promised when I signed my contract, and if there is anyone who is unaware, maybe if you worked as a team, and passed messages between yourselves I wouldn't have had 6 months of this and still can't have a warm home!I emailed again. When I moved in I spent a very large amount of money bringing the flat up to standard, it was in a terrible state holes in the wall smelled of cats the carpet was disgusting, however I liked the look of the flats and how well maintained they were ?.. after about 3 yrs the flats were going down hill fast the grounds are unkept so much so that a number of us set to work making the yard look nice, I was told that the kitchens and bathrooms were going to be up dated, my kitchen has the doors hanging off and they are cracked and broken from the previous tenants ... still no sign 11 yrs later, when I moved in the tenants were all respectable and had pride in their flats I not sure when your policy changed but now! the tenants that have moved in are disgusting leave rubbish every where outside of their flats look like slums goes down well with the i Windows are peeling the plastic seals are hanging down, every where needs repainting, the smell of dope is everywhere!,,,

I’ve been trying for years to get cracks in the wall and damp spots sorted but all they do is take photos and that’s the last I ever hear about it, they did send a surveyor out a year or so back who recommended that it needs to be repointed, but nothing has happened yet. It’s annoying because I need to get the place decorated but no point when the paper keeps peeling off. Apart from that they are amazing.

Whenever I have to ring pfp for anything they always listen, and then do their upmost to explain anything I am not sure about. If I have a repair booked in, they always turn up and staff are very respectful of my property no matter what they are doing. Clean up after themselves and go that extra mile to get the job done . If I have a problem with my account for any reason the staff are very understanding and always reassure me not to worry they will find a solution to suit all parties. TrustpilotRepetitive poor service.
I reported damp in my house in April 2023, a survey confirmed this. Then nothing, zilch bugger all done. Now some 17 months later after my prompting they are finally moving to resolve the issue. This is life as a tenant of this so called reputational company. I should know, I've been a tenant for about 29 yrs, I like the house and area I live. I don't like the repetitive poor service. It is already been investigated, but let me tell you MG I have been deceived. The lady investigating Jen, customer resolution coordinator was hoping to have her reply by 13th September. She emailed asking for more time to investigate, twice. Then I get an email saying she is going on leave for a week!!! This has been on her desk since 16th August. I was quite prepared to personally deal with this, but not now. I am making enquiries to involve solicitors. I will not be taken for a fool.
