TrustpilotUPDATED - Shambolic Maintenance
UPDATED It has taken us over 18 months to get Places for People to attend to a leaky garage roof. And it's still not resolved. So much time wasting from Places for People, getting approval to replace a condemned roof took nearly a year alone, then more months in securing a contractor to do the work, then us being informed the works will take a month, only for the works to take 2 months. And only having recently been informed the works are complete, the roof has missing parts, damage internally, and more holes than it originally had! This is an absolute disgrace and I seriously WARN anyone from using this housing association providers as they will only disappoint and cause further distress when it comes to maintenance issues. ORIGINAL REVIEWThis company is awful when it comes to maintenance and upkeep of the properties. They sub-contract the majority of the works on the super cheap and with very poor contractors. They do very poor job of the work that they do do, it is never a proper job and majority of the time you have to continue to chase them up to get the works done to a bare minimum satisfactory level. When workmen do come out, they often take some photos and measurement, tell you they will get back in contact and then you hear nothing for a very long time. You continually have to chase them up for updates, and they often never give accurate times and dates for when the works do go ahead. And often the works get cancelled and you are not informed of this. For example one of their properties all the lights gone in the utility room, this was mid June it was reported. Someone came out, counted the lights, then left. Having chased this up i have just been informed that the works will go ahead at the end of August...it should not take 2 and a half months to fix some lights. And they will refuse that you do the lights yourself or hire in a local contractor instead of their 'approved contractor'.Just awful awful maintenance department. Be warned!

TrustpilotI'm writing on behalf of my in-laws
I'm writing on behalf of my in-laws. The service they have had since moving into there home has been diabolical. They were told to prop up a fence that had been damaged by a storm, (there in there 70's) not seen anyone for it to be fixed. They have requested several visits and even before Covid19 struck, no one has been around. I really don't understand what they are paying for. There new next neighbours have no fence as it's rotten away and last night they caught someone in there garden looking at stuff. Now having to use someone private to make there home and my in-laws secure from any more unwanted visitors. I have to say it's a total disgrace what you have done over the years for them!!

TrustpilotBeen with them 22 years do not recommend
Been with them 22 years , next to useless , over these years I’ve seen properties needing urgent attention such as updated kitchens bathrooms boilers etc... and the don’t do them until u give up and move out , they do the least work possible between tenants so if ur going to sign up what u see is Literally what you will get forever more. They also add on additional services charges that seem to go up annually but you don’t get the service from them. Work men come to do jobs stressed out in your home bring their stress to the job , usually stressed from working for them! Jobs don’t Always get done . I really would avoid them at all cost to be honest , customer services are not friendly either neither are the housing officers do your self a favour an find a better landlord. They are known for having a bad name!

TrustpilotExcellent Service
This score was a no brainer. First class professional service.Regan genuinely made me feel like every question I asked wasn’t to much trouble, alongside her knowledge which in my opinion is a nice surprise and second to none. Definitely a lady that will be flying exceptional further given the chance. Even on a busy day she will still return your call and answer any queries. Thank you for being so genuine and treating me like a person and not a number.

TrustpilotIve been with PFP 11 years
Ive been with PFP 11 years, I got the house through the B with Us, I know numerous families in other housing association's connected to BwithUs and they have an excellent repair service, even have upgrades after a set amount of years like bathrooms and kitchens, When i asked for new kitchen cupboards because the ones i had were old rotting and hanging off, all they did was turn the doors the opposite way around, so they could fix the hinges to something other than the side with rotting wood..I have repairs ive waited years to be done regardless of MPs and Ombudsman getting involved, the company is still reluctant to spend any money on repairing things as they should...I wish i knew how bad they were years ago before i agreed to them being my landlords..

TrustpilotI have been with PFP from when they…
I have been with PFP from when they took over from north British housing I fill they should go back to the old name as PFP means nothing they don’t help and treat older people like dogs muck !! We have had so much trouble with our neighbours over a good few years to find they don’t want older people like as we are disabled pensioners & in our 70s .we should not live in our house but in a home and they are going to make our lives hell.we told PFP we were told it just words and things like making dogs bark driving big vans on the pavement at us being head butted & now camaras put to spy on us I was also reported to the D.V.L.A by our neighbours by saying I should not drive as I was having fits and blackouts that’s what people do here and PFP If you don’t like it just move out and go private as it’s your fault !.We were told I swore whilst on lockdown that I swore at one of there office staff who kept asking me to come off being phoned by them 3 or more times about welfare issues because I told him I wanted to stay on the welfare calls because he kept on I then told him to stop the calls as I did not like the way he was telling me what to do and what he was saying so I put the phone down .I received a letter by someone else from PFP saying I swore at him by mumbling it also said in the letter said my tenancy was at risk or could be broken this was because I put the phone down on the way people at PFP talk to you ! This is only a few things that as happens to me so be aware of PFP !!!

We eventually managed to go and view this first floor flat at Newbiggin Way Macclesfield for my mother due to her ability not to deal with stairs in her home anymore. The company lead us to the view that it rented out good property. The flat was an absolute disgrace, which needed a total refurbishment.Considering all the mither sorting out the issue to get a visit, we where totally misled by this company's views on a nice home, and will not bother to view their properties again.

TrustpilotPlaces for people ltd
Dont even deserve one star. Places for people. Absolutely disgusting , disgraceful cow boy of a company. Massive maintenance charges especially on free hold properties on there estates. Level of maintenance is very poor and management could not give a toss. After years of complain they still do nothing. Basically its a racketeering organisation. As a free holder I have no legal recourse so am under constant threat of my house being repossessed by them if I don't pay the maintenance fee. I have even written them said I cant afford to pay and there fees will push my family out on the streets and explained I have a disabled child but they just ignored my complain and continued to charge extortionate fee which rises evey year. This is a typical example of a big company using the law to fleece the poor. No ethics or morals at all. If yiu affected by there charges even if your paying rent (the maintenance fee will be hidden in your rent) please look up Hornets home owners association and see the millions of people effected by this disgusting company and companies like it.

TrustpilotYou should have more respect!!
The managers do not care about their staff that they have working for them. The employees are treated truest badly and this is not acceptable for anyone to be treated with no respect. They do not have job satisfaction where they are currently working and as this current situation is still very current most of the staff do not know where they are each day. I think it’s disgraceful how little you respect the petiole dealing with the customers each and every day. You should count yourself as not human for this.

TrustpilotBehind on rent due to current world situation
Absolute cowboy of a housing association... do not care of tenants current circumstances... and the fact is the worlds in financial crisis ... they say rent is priority .. So is every other household bill, I’m sure the government has told them they can’t send court letters out or evict at the moment .... anyways keep away from renting off them they don’t care about tenants, can’t wait for the letters to come will be going straight to the papers

TrustpilotOn moving in boiler leaked and ruined…
On moving in boiler leaked and ruined the new carpets and Christmas lights and decorations ruined also. It took five days to fix and super heated water was wasted incurring further costs. Now water tepid..It took residents to find and fix leaks both boiler and kitchen. No info given on how to use antiquated heating which would have helped. The leak put a neighbours health at risk and flooded his electric supply. No follow up has been received to date.

TrustpilotWhat a sham of a company...
What a sham of a company left us for 11 years with a water storage tank in the loft which kept breaking and causing us to flood several times wrecking decor and carpets. They finally sorted it in the 12th year being here and have now left us with a dripping pipe under bathroom sink that we cant report as due to covid it's not classed as an emergency repair even though we have to leave a towel down daily. They should be ashamed if themselves for how they treat their paying customers.

TrustpilotAs a Tenant this is my personal opinion…!
As a Tenant this is my personal opinion of places for people and how things are dealt with.We have been suffering noise from the above flat over 17 months we have made numerous complaints but nothing has been done. The tenants haven’t been living at the property since February this year how ever the son has now moved in we have to put up with his abusive behaviour his shouting and foul language he has constant arguments with his girlfriend that spills into The street we have filled in a form regarding this and we have had Victoria Ingham ASB office out but again nothing has been done it seems like places for people are allowing tenants to sublet their properties and turn a blind eye as long as they get there revenue.Maria

TrustpilotShambles of a landlord
Shambles of a landlord, arrogant, uncaring, completely out of touch with the people in it's charge who live in their properties. Overrun by corporate management types who have no care or understanding of the lives of ordinary people. 'Spendthrift' penny pinching slum type landlord who refuse to spend a penny more than they are legally required to do maintaining the properties they have, rather than seeking to 'invest and expand their portfolio', as though they were some kind of private/corporate landlord, rather than a social housing housing association. The current management structure (and many of the staff) have no ability to comprehend, or understand the lives of the people who live in these properties, often appearing to regard them as less than animals. Here in our estate, during the worst of the pandemic so far, they closed our communal bin areas off, because they accused us of having 'gatherings' there, like somehow they regarded us as lower than rats. Right now they are refusing all repairs, except what they decide from a small list are 'emergency repairs'. God knows what they are doing with all the money they are saving from not doing normal repairs, while the longer they leave these repairs, the more their properties slip into a state of slum status.
