TrustpilotPolicy more important than a mother's life.
Care more about there outdated policy than mental health. No point me going into detail on here as they won't do anything. They really do not care. AVOID if you can and go with a different housing association.

Trustpilotgiving 3
giving 3, as based on 2 incidents. First the positive - Boiler broke (around 4pm) down so called them. The engineer arrived at 9.30pm (they had asked me if a late evening up to 10pm would be ok, I said yes). He couldn't repair it and said would need to be completely replaced. about 11am next day (it was my day off work), got call to ask when suitable to come to the fitting, i joked 'now?, and engineer said he'd be there within an hour. Can not fault this experience at all.Now the negative - had to call out as bathroom sink was coming off the wall (sink on a plasterboard wall, good idea right?). Guy turned up, asked if i had been sitting on it (as if right!). He had to go to a shop to get knew sink and replace (with pedestal). When he came back, he was just moaning all the time how flats like mine (1 bedroom) are too big for one person, that all 1 bedroom flats should be split into 2 bedsits. Why should 1 person have a whole 1 bedroom flat to themselves. moaning he has to rent private. people in 1 bedrooms should convert front room into a bedroom and give to authorities to rent out. Other than this guy, I've found P4P friendly, helpful and a lot better than all private landlords I've rented from in the past.

Trustpilot5 stars are not enough.
I just could not believe that a landlords team of excellent staff would bother to phone their tenants just to check that they were ok and did they need any help at all for whatever reason, she had me in tears she was that kind.A big thank you to you all.

TrustpilotCriminal Organisation
I won't go into too many details as I've exhausted myself mentally over the past few years dealing with this but to sum up, Places for people are treacherous scumbags. I am a vulnerable young person and they repeatedly took advantage of me, threatened me and pressured me. I went through all the complaints procedures and at every turn was made out to be a liar and all my issues downplayed. In their welcome pack they outline their own definition of abuse towards vulnerable adults and whilst myself and many people close to me witnessed said abuse the complaints department and pretty much anyone else involved Including the "independent Investigators" could not fathom that what I'd recived was abuse and was instead pleaded to me as "Miscommunication" Typical professional bullies that couldn't give a toss about clients once the money is in payment. "Support workers" or whatever title they give themselves these days are so disconnected from how actual clients live it's impossible for them to help. "Yeah I haven't eaten in a week but please do come round and remind me that I have outstanding council tax whilst telling me all about your lovely holiday to Cancun on your many many annual leaves" Something needs to change within Places for people as I belive they have lost complete focus on what they're here to do in the first place. Support your clients and stop using bloody covid as an excuse for a lazy work ethic.

TrustpilotClients are just paycheques.
I live in a community flat provided by Places for People/Living+ and not going to lie, the flat is absolutely atrocious. The back garden was covered in glass and rubbish from the workmen, for me to get a complaint from the council for the bin being too full from the rubbish they didn’t bother to clear. The kitchen sink pipes have snapped and there’s now black mould, the repair team just told me to do my dishes and whatnot in the bathroom because it’s not an emergency repair because I still have gas/electric. But when I threaten to take legal action and go to citizens advice, they're sincerely apologetic and start an investigation when it should’ve just been fixed in the first place. Not only that, the breakdown coverage of the flat itself is £144/week. Half of that is literally “time spent with support worker”.We are just paycheques to them, they don’t care about us, the more clients they have, the more money they get. My support worker casually with confidence told me to put a complaint against her in, knowing the complaints department are absolutely useless. There’s one staff member who’s not even classed as a support worker as she only works in the office and she’s done a hell of a lot better of a job than anyone there. They want me to move back into the old communal flats where I’d be paying nearly £300 a week because I’d be in employment and housing benefits don’t cover me. So essentially they want me to quit my job and move back into the place I wanted out of so long. “It’s a sidestep” they said. They honestly don’t know what they’re doing and they need to sort it out because quite frankly the amount of complaints this company receives, I’m surprised it’s even running still because I’m confident enough now there’s enough evidence from people to take legal action and get it shut down or even remodelled to actually help people. Don’t even bother replying with “please contact us” because theres already an investigation into all of this.

TrustpilotWe were really happy with our new home…
We were really happy with our new home until just before Christmas we had a leak through the vent in the kitchen ceiling, nobody could come out to stop the leak until January and by then every where was wet in the ceiling, so wet that the ceiling in the living room came down above our table and chairs we were lucky not to be sitting there. Hopefully this will be fixed in march. We would love to have hot water in the kitchen by march as well.

TrustpilotYet again I try to report a repair only…
Yet again I try to report a repair only to be told its not an emergency. My extractor fan in the downstairs shower room has packed up. Not a massive problem but I can't open the window because it opens onto a public footpath, the house is already damp with mould on the ceilings and clothing in draws and wardrobes. This is not the only repair they refuse to do. My fence is falling down with all the fence posts rotten through, a tree at the bottom of the garden is rotten and hanging over the footpath yet they still expect the full service charge to be paid, in fact they recently raised the the service charges to cover tree maintenance it would be funny if not typical of the company. Why should we pay for a service we no longer get

When I call the company, they respond to me and provide very good assistance. If I file a complaint about poor or delayed repair, they are cooperative. Also, the employees and engineers who do the repair do their job perfectly.

TrustpilotLeaking roof not a emergency?
We reported a leaking roof to the repair call centre ( you cannot currently report a repair online as this it unavailable at the moment as they are only dealing with emergencies due to Covid) and they explained that they will only deal with emergency call outs. I would have thought water coming through the roof was considered that. However because the rain had stopped and the rain was coming through it wasn’t classed as a emergency and we were advised to call back when it was raining. Of course I complained and was then told I would receive a call by the maintenance team within 48 hours, of course no call arrived, as usual! This company are all about profit and care little for the thousands of tenants that are living in sub standard accommodation. The development in Thornaby, seems to have plenty of maintenance vans sitting about but very little work being done! I am currently collating information regarding the state of repair in neighbouring properties and will be writing to our local MP to try and make this company fulfil its obligations to its tenants. The websites look amazing but the company is not! In the meantime we have paid, as usual for a private contractor to repair the roof and will be submitting this bill through the small claims court.
