GoogleWe have just bought a house sold via Direct Moves. It has been a particularly difficult chain and I've been bowled over by the efforts of Direct Moves, Emma in particular, in moving things along and getting everything sorted. She has been in regular touch with us, and has been instrumental in making progress happen when things have seemed to be stalling. All that AND we got a bottle of wine when we picked up our keys! Believe me, we DO NOT plan to move again any time soon, but if we were to I would definitely go to Direct Moves.

GoogleI would recommend Direct Moves without hesitation. They were friendly, approachable, professional and efficient in every aspect of the service they provided. They also work extremely cohesively so you can speak to one member of the team and the message always reaches the right person and/or gets entered on the system for everyone else to see. Direct Moves worked hard to find me a suitable buyer for my house and gave constant feedback throughout the process. One of the most important factors for me when choosing an estate agent - and something that proved to be invaluable - is that they have someone who is dedicated to seeing the sale process through to completion once a buyer has been found. An absolutely excellent service from beginning to end.

GoogleAn excellent service from start to finish. I was looking for an apartment for my parents who lived in another town. On contacting Ben for a viewing of an apartment of my choice he recommended that I view another one on his listings that I had not come across online. I am pleased to say that this apartment was ideal for my parents and if it was not for Ben thinking outside the box (mark of a true salesman) we would not have known it existed. An offer was made which was accepted very quickly, no stressful wait, seven weeks later my parents have moved in and are very happy. Thank you for making the process so easy and stress free. Highly recommended.

GoogleI have recently bought an investment property from Direct Moves in Weymouth, the team have been a pleasure to deal with offering a really professional and courteous service. I would have no hesitation in recommending Direct Moves and Ben who helped negotiate the offer was incredibly helpful and friendly which is so important when making such a key decision. The sale exchanged contracts within 14 days from the offer being accepted and I have no doubt I will be working with the Direct Moves team again.

GoogleHere are the key facts of our experience: - We were initially told to market our property for £250,000 as this was a "no nonsense" amount, that would "definitely, easily" sell for this price. - Within a week, we were advised to lower it to £240,000 due to lack of interest! - After a sustained period of inactivity, this was further lowered to £215,000. At this point one of the ownders thought the first price was 'ambitious'. But "you have to start somewhere.". A full drop of £35,000! We sold for £220,000 in the end. - The photos taken of our property were so poor, that I had to redo them myself and another member of staff came back to take more. - During this period, I was told our 'front door key didn't work' and I had to personally arrive and take an hour off work to let prospective buyers in and lock up afterward. It transpired their agent had the wrong key as ours wasn't apparently where it should be. - Disorganisation occurred in the office. We were told we had appointments when we didn't and not told about appointments we did have. Only double checking by myself revealed this. - Three weeks into the marketing, we stopped hearing from the office manager completely. - After the property was sold, the only time we heard from Direct Moves was to tell us the buyers wanted a survey, then an electrical survey and then to request assistance with electrical re-wiring. The next time we heard from Direct Moves was the day after exchange. (So effectively several months of hearing nothing). When I queried this, I was told this was normal and they had little to do with the sellers. I'm sorry, who's paying who? - When we asked a simple question of "Would our buyers like us to leave picture hooks up" - we were told to refer to our solicitor. We felt that this very simple question didn't need a legal representative to ask. - We weren't told the Dorchester office was closing. A third party told us and to our dismay, yes it was when we visited. All we could see was that they'd moved to 'Direct Moves - Dorset'. Which didn't tell us where they were at all. All I can say positively is that Direct Moves were quite quick to deal with inquiries and phone calls initially, but towards the end, even that tailed off. When I emailed asking where the branch had moved to, it took almost a week to respond. All in all, this hasn't been the best experience for us. We won't be recommending Direct Moves to anyone else.
Thank you for your review. I can see that we achieved a sale in less than a calendar month, from putting on the market in July 2017 to agreeing a sale in august 2017. We successfully sold your home at a price that was agreeable to you, and within a much shorter timescale than most sales in the area. Having had a great response to our ‘open house’ on Good Friday 2017 and a number of offers the day after, it has taken over a year to get to completion as we took our time to find somewhere and our buyer was working abroad. Throughout that time, the staff have been informative and always very friendly. I would certainly recommend anyone to use the services of Direct Moves.
