PLEASE STEER WELL CLEAR!!

Poor communication, false promises from sales, lettings and mortgage services. Started off great but once they've had your money they don't care about resolving any issues. Don't bother with the lifetime membership as you'll have to do all the work yourself. Don't bother with management services for letting a property either, they won't tell you about any problems and they'll let your tenants damage your property and steal from you without any reconciliation measures or compensation. I sold my flat over a year ago and I'm still battling with them and the Zero Deposit scheme to compensate me for my property being stolen and damage that I paid to fix for the new owner out of my own pocket. PLEASE STEER CLEAR, SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE!!

As a tenant this is the worst rental agency I've ever dealt with - expected more from such a big name

As a tenant this is the worst rental agent I've ever dealt with. 1) Difficult to get in touch with - they hardly ever answer the phone. 2) The property was dirty when we moved in, no inventory provided. 3) The property was managed by Sequence Ltd who have provided a very disappointing service - early on we were told (via a phone call and after several weeks of us asking) to arrange for repair of a maintenance issue ourselves and that this could be deducted off our rent afterwards, and that the landlord had instructed this. We never received the refund, they said because they didn't have records of that instruction. Several staff members had started then left during our tenancy which didn't help (we were there for 6 months). 4) We are now having to contact Tenancy Deposit Scheme to get our deposit back relating to a different issue, mostly due to our inadequate landlord who it seems is trying to claim a random amount of money anywhere he might get away with it (we left the property in a cleaner state than when we arrived to try to avoid any possible excuses for deduction from deposit). Sequence Ltd doesn't appear to know about or be bothered about the law and tenant's rights.

Reasonably priced, Very competent and accessible estate agents. Would firmly recommend the mortgage advisor service. As I used two different services from William H Brown, I'm splitting this review in two. Mortgage Advisor Service: 5 Stars I was lucky enough to be assigned Hannah as my mortgage advisor, I can't stress enough how big a help she was throughout the process. I was a solo buyer/seller and a bit unsure of the whole process and Hannah went above and beyond helping with any question I had (even relating just generally to the process, not just my mortgage), helped me select a mortgage product, put in offers on properties and helped arrange my insurances and will. She provided a very high quality service that I would recommend to anyone, couldn't have done it without her! Estate Agents / Sales: 4 Stars I sold my property via WHB, they were very professional and helped accommodate a quick sale. I had my initial valuation with Paula, who was fantastic, explained the whole process to me and gave some great advice. Their property photographer was lovely and did a great job. All my viewings were done by WBH agents and they were able to accommodate planning those around my work schedule and went above and beyond always showing up 10 mins early so I could have my dog safely out the way for the viewings. My only gripes: -I was initially advised of a guide price of £75,000-£85,000 , I was aiming for £80,000 and asked if it'd be better to put it on the market with a guide price of 80-85 so people didn't see 75,000 and consider that the most they would offer, I was advised against this and all my initial offers came in between 70-75 as I thought they might. Putting it up at the guide of 75-85 was ultimately my decision though! - They have a tendency to leave messages/voicemails without any information on why they called which obviously invokes a bit of anxiety in this kind of process.

I would not trust these people

I would not trust these people, I emailed them to arrange a viewing on a tenanted property, no contact, after a couple of days I called them to arrange a viewing for same property, straight away the sales person tried steering me to another property instead, but I held firm, they said they would get back to me with an appointment, they never did, it’s now sold. They have preferred investors waiting in the background, other sectors would not get away with it.

Terrible!!!! Called to view a property which they booked us in for with no issues. Was then called to say they couldnt do that particular date or time which was fine. I was then told they could fit us in 3 days later for a "quick" viewing at 4:30 and only 4:30. I explained this would not be possible due to work commitments to be basically told this was our option or nothing. No weekend, no weekday or even evening viewings. We are very fortunate to be sold, do not require a mortgage and in a great posistio. If I was paying this company thousands of pounds to sell my 600k house I would be less than impressed with the attitude and service. One only knows how they treat the sale of lesser value properties. My advice would be to AVOID and go with a helpful and reputable company such as Portfields.
