Following a rather frustrating process at times, the current outcome has been very positive.I have been looking to secure a plot at the development in Micklefield; Radford's Meadow.As previously mentioned, this was initially frustrating with slightly conflicting info being provided. Following an on site meeting with Owen however, our questions were answered, he went above and beyond our expectations and we left with a reserved plot and a smile on our face.I look forward to the house being completed to a high standard and leaving another good review!

We have bought a new build Avant home in Barrhead. This should have been a joyous occasion but instead, we have had nothing but stress. The house itself is lovely, as is the location but we have no end of problems with Avant sorting out the snagging list. Avant are useless. They constantly lie, make false promises and nothing gets done. I can honestly say I would never buy from Avant again and would strongly recommend all others to avoid this company unless you are prepared for a long haul fight to get the most basic of snagging issues acknowledged, never mind fixed.

If I could give Avant homes 0 stars I would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOU MONEY. By far the biggest mistake i've ever made was buying a new build from Avant. Quick to take your money (through and awful sales experience) but take an age, 4 site manages, 2 customer care reps, 5 directors, and even and email to the MD to sort your issues.... all of which have failed. I still live in a substandard house, they are overpriced, for the poor quality you get. They fix one issue and create 3 more! I live in a house which shouldn't of passed building or NHBC regs, yet its take 6 month to fix and the standard of finish is shocking. They cant even get their legals right, and i'm left with a property where the legal drawings and plans don't match what's it place. its been a nightmare and I don't see it getting better any time soon. Awful.I have a garden which is a swap. a fence that's falling down, and no-one has an answer. you take time off work for a meeting to resolve the issues and they turn up 45 minutes late (again your time isn't important, only theirs) and have no answers, are ill prepared and have to ask you questions on the subject they're meant to be an expect on. My house leaves me on the brink of tears most days, has caused unneeded stress, and frankly Avant should be disgusted, because we are.

I have met with James today, whilst viewing a show house at their Fitzwilliam site in Huddersfield, and all I can say is that he was the loveliest, kindest, professional but most of all very genuine when showing us round the site. He’s made me feel so at ease, he was very patient with my questions and nothing was too much trouble for him. It’s a little wait until I can move in but I’m looking forward to that date!

We have just secured our first home at Chaucer's Green in Doncaster.James who we have dealt with has been exceptional each time we have visited. As our site does not have a show houses or a sales office, we had to visit another local site for viewing show homes and the site details. From what we have seen in Avant Homes so far is that they do things very differently to the rest, both the layout of their houses and the way they deal with the customers. We know we have a long way to go in the process, for now its a massive thumbs up.

Sarah has so much knowledge in the industry and we can’t fault the customer service we have received so far!

Where do i start?.... previous review... sales all good, aftersales all good to moving in. Then came the site manager Steve! We had a few snags, as expected and Steve had them resolved almost instantly, and when something new pops up he has it looked at and sorted very quickly. Read some reviews on here that arent so good, but if youre looking at the fitzwilliam grange site in Huddersfield, then you have nothing to worry about! Not only has Steve been, amazing, responsive, patient, and very helpful. But the site is also kept very clean, the lads are polite, all go out their way to say hello etc. The whole site team so far have gone aboove and beyond for us, and this is clearly in part due to site leadership.

Avant Homes haven’t even started building and they’ve wrecked our community! Clearance work has caused flooding to nearby homes. They don’t even accept this though and have blamed rainfall! Even though records going back to 1986 show higher rainfall and no flooding. They have also killed badgers living on the site and extracted coal from the area. Absolute cowboys.

As a first time buyer at Avant I think they are terrible so many problems with the house snagged at 136 faults with the property shoddy shoddy workman ship all over, the plastering , painting, the lawn, brickwork are awful. They didn't clean it for me heating wasn't working doors left wide open, radiators not fitted to wall properly lots of problems. site manager wants sacking. a disgrace they think its acceptable to hand over a house like this and so far haven't rectified any of it. stay away from avant homes there's much better out there.

The directors block your emails!!!! Honestly, I’ve now had my email blocked, so I can’t even raise my issues. (You may think this is because I’ve sent abuse or multiple emails, wrong! I’ve sent two emails, just two, and both about very real matters, a s I’ve been blocked!!!!!!!!!!!!)The whole experience is awful! For your own sanity, do not scroll past the 1 star ratings for this awful company, (there are many, and we can’t all be wrong!) avoid avoid avoid.Visit the Mickleover derby Cotchett Park site, knock on ANYONE’s door ... they’ll all tell you of their diabolical experiences at the hands of Avant!

Zero estate maintenance, overgrown grass, roads and paths not finished, Play area never transpired. Estate should have been handed over to the estate management company at least 1 year ago, but due to Avants complete neglect and unwillingness to bring the site up to standard we are left in limbo, paying fees and receiving no service and no help to rectify the situation. AVOID

Been waiting ages for them to sort out our lawn aka the boggy marsh. They cannot be bothered to get back to you. The lawn clearly slopes incorrectly ie not towards the drain and as a result, we have what appears to be a swimming pool in our back garden. The grass is dead, full of moss and squelches with every step. The grounds work team came out months ago to look at it and we’re still waiting on their report and get fobbed off constantly. The garden is unusable so not happy at all.

This review is based purely on the sales staff & appalling service given. The quality of the house is great & the builders on site are fantastic but I’m just furious now by the catalogue of errors made by Lynn & her team. In January after a complaint I raised it was agreed I would have double slatted fencing around my garden but when I moved in it’s only been done single slatted to one side & not done at all at the other, looks an absolute sight for sore eyes. I was also told I could no longer have an integrated microwave because they changed supplier & agreed to extend my decking to the width of the house as compensation. Unfortunately, they only extended it to one side & are now backtracking on what they agreed. It looks ridiculous & I’m so disappointed. Dealing with these sales women has honestly just been a horrible experience from start to finish & despite the house being beautiful, I would really think twice about ever dealing with Avant again. I shouldn’t be in tears 3 days after moving in because the staff no longer care now that they have your money. They just continually make what should be a pleasant experience stressful & they are completely underhanded.

Went one of your sight, On furlong park I meet James on Sunday 16th May 2021, about buying property and he's given me all the details about the process and he's arranging for mortgage advisor, then booked for me Thursday 20th May to filling the welcome pack from, on Thursday I meet Kelly, I tell her I was booking for flot 117 property but I changed to different one, so she phone to mortgage advisor and tell them about my change then she book me in for next day 21st May 2021, today I meet again James and we went out for all the papers work and he's explain about the property internal and external work. Both are very nice, I have a good customer experience with James and Kelly, I hope I see them again thanks for Avent homes.

TrustpilotAVOID! Terrible finish and terrible after sales service
Terrible aftercare re snagging. Pay over 300k for a home, the decoration is terrible, patches of plaster everywhere, kitchen tap has been broken for months, kitchen doors basically falling apart. Been here nearly 18 months and arguing with them about finishing the strip down the side of the house which has just been completely left. You have to basically beg them to come out and look at shrinkage and settlement, there are cracks all over the place and it's taken months for them to say they will come out to inspect at the end of July. Would definitely steer clear and go with another builder or buy an older house and do any work required yourself as that's pretty much what we are having to do with a 'new build'

Most important thing. Never complete customer survey, before ends of warranty. I’m so happy that I haven’t. Avant refused to fix my front garden, it looks disgusting, because membrane under the decorative stones haven’t been put correctly. There are lots of places where membrane haven’t been put at all. This is answer I received from avant “ Thank you for your response, as mentioned due to the area not being maintained and weeded this will cause excessive holes and rips. We will action nothing further on this I’m afraid” didn’t know that weeds can make that around 10ish square meters of membrane will complete disappear. Moreover about 7 months ago I reported about other issues, which still hasn’t been fixed. I have contacted my lawyer.

We bough our home at Avant’s Damstead Park development two years ago. The initial experience of purchasing was fantastic, lovely sales staff and very helpful. Their recommended mortgage advisors were great, but the solicitors they recommended not so much.At first sight the house looks lovely, but then came the snags, which I agree is is a normal part of construction, the problem is that their customer care team aren’t the greatest.Among other things, we pointed out that the turf was extremely bumpy, Avant’s site manager told us that they would do whatever it took to put it right. We have so far had nothing but aggravation with this, to no avail as we’ve been fobbed off on countless occasions.We raised a formal complaint, after hitting a brick wall with their site & customer care team. In my eyes there should have been an independent inspection by an Avant person which never happened, they sat in an office and decided it wasn’t worth their time. We called NHBC and Avant didn’t even bother to turn up to the meeting.Many of our neighbours have had their grass completely replaced, but our property is somehow one of the few on the estate (with exactly the same issue) that is different. Our feeling towards Avant is that we have been discriminated against for being younger first time buyers.In addition to the above the brick work on our garage is shockingly bad; massive cracks in plaster around the stairs and many other little bits that have just made for a very negative experience.

We bought our Avant home in September and initially we were really pleased with the sales process etc but we have since found out that Avant Legal had shared my personal details including my name, email address, telephone number, national insurance number, date of birth, bank account sort code, account number, account name and bank details to the onward buyer of my old home which we part exchanged. Avants response was that this happened due to the team working from home and it was a human error. I would expect a business dealing with such sensitive information to have some kind of quality assurance protocols in place. They’ve not even taken the time to apologise over the phone, just an email trying to also shift the blame elsewhere and ‘it is, what it is’ approach with absolutely no regard for the fact my bank account and personal details have been shared and could well be in the wrong hands.
