Me and my partner have recently bought our first home together and we are thrilled with the work by Avant, we haven't moved in just yet but upon the look around of the completed house it looks great! We noticed one small hole which they have assured us will be fixed before we move in. The building was delayed for a few months but these things happen and they kept us up to date with time frames.

We have been trying to buy a house at Avant, Woodyard Park, initially there was a lot of information provided but as soon as we sorted out our finances with Evolve (the company they use) some of the information regarding the price of the house changed (not sure if correct information was relayed to us as the house was not listed online yet but was in development plan), since we spent a lot of time sorting out all the details etc. and were almost about to buy the property it was a bit saddening for us. I have raised an issue with them hoping that this gets resolved soon.

My wife and I recently bought an Avant home. Jo has been absolutely fantastic all the way through the buying process and kept us regularly informed of the build process outlining how things were going. Avant were also great and paid the excess LBTT we would have had to pay since we moved in April and the Scottish Government did not freeze LBTT like the rest of the Uk. The company have been really responsive to a couple of small snagging issues we have had and have fixed things that immediately. I should add that these issues have all been very minor such as a very small leak under the sink which was fixed by an out of hours plumber. We highly recommend Avant and thank Jo for all her support.

We would like to share our moving experience to Cygnet Park development first of all it has been a very pleasant experience because of the quality and of finish on our home we had a couple of very small things which were rectified as soon as we mentioned them within a week Mel Chris and Jason have all been fantastic and happy to answers any questions we have put to them they are all very friendly and very well organised and Customer service have been great with all there follow up calls making sure everything is going well with us we can’t praise them all enough. Well Done Avant👍

I initially spoke with Lucie Flewitt (Regional Sales Advisor Nottingham) to arrange a viewing in Market Harborough & have since reserved a property at the site with her. The experience I’ve had thus far has been absolutely amazing! Lucie has always been so polite, friendly & efficient; she certainly knows what’s she’s taking about & has really gone above & beyond to help meet my requirements & arrange the perfect package for me! I’m a first time buyer & hadn’t even considered buying a new build so after I reserved a plot, I found myself feeling equally excited & apprehensive. I’m very grateful however, as Lucie has really taken the time to patiently answer my many many questions & left me feeling at ease… & now very excited at what’s to come!

Just moved into Highstonehall and have nothing but praise for Sandra, Andy ,( site manager) and Ryan (site manager )Our entry date was delayed , which was a bit frustrating, but now that we are in , that is all forgottenI would advise that in future, whether the news is good or bad that they keep the client up to date with what is happening....Sandra in particular has been absolutely brilliant, she deserves a medal and a pay riseLastly to Margaret McKay in the Stirling office who was extremely helpful , a big thank you

Having had reservations about buying a new build and reading a lot of scare stories on here, this only added to our anxiety. From start to finish, Jo from a sales point of view and Shaun from a site manager point of view have been fantastic. We felt Jo’s advice and service throughout the sales journey has been second to none - empathetic and always willing to help. And since moving in, that service has continued with Jo but we are now liaising with Shaun more and he is just as accommodating. If Avant read this review - please ensure Jo and her team are made aware of our gratitude for their efforts Yes there are snags here and there, nothing major and contractors are always available to sort. Reading some of these reviews, I’m really glad I don’t take every action of others to heart and feel everyone is out to get me!!!So thank you to Jo and her team - it’s made a huge move for me and my young, growing family so so easy. And we have a great quality house on the back of it!

On Waverley development the Avant homes representative was helpful and friendly, on the other one (Owlthorpe) it was the opposite. Representative seemed only interested in getting us out the door asap, based on "all information is online", to the point we found it becoming rather rude. Might have been just a bad day, we all have those, but still it left me with a bad aftertaste.

Excellent purchase experience, Shomala!I just bought a new build property from Avant Homes - Purbeck Village, and the Sale Manager (Shomala) clearly explained all details and provided all information which I concerned and required. Moreover, she also coordinated with her colleagues to help me to complete the necessary purchasing process which definitely out of her duties! Overall I have a very good experience in buying a property from Avant Homes, and especially thanks for Shomala’s patience and help!

Trustpilot'Live differently' - we'd rather not...
If you want to purchase a new home that has a shockingly low quality of finish then Avant Homes are perfect, otherwise avoid at all costs!We moved into our home a year ago and have been very patient throughout this time but our new home still doesn't show the quality that Avant claim to build into their new homes. We are constantly being let down by them and their contractors by not showing up or when they do, the jobs are left half done and never completed or need done again because of the poor workmanship. The communication is continually poor from Avant with me having to liaise directly with kitchen and window contractors for example. Chasing Avant homes for outstanding issues to be fixed has turned into a part time job for me!When we decided to purchase an Avant Home we were sold on the quality of the show homes and also the marketing claims that your are 'Good' 'Better' & 'Different'. Disappointingly we don't feel that we could use these words to describe our new home in a positive way. Even after raising formal complaints we have a long list of outstanding issues and the communication is still pretty non existent. It's disheartening to see new neighbours move into homes on site and have contractors attend their homes and we are left waiting time and time again. Being treated with absolute contempt is utterly disgusting and not what I'd expect from a company who have been paid hundreds of thousands of pounds for an inadequate product.Stop lying or using covid as an excuse and fix our house to the standard we expected and deserve.Martin CayrnePlot 53, Highstonehall

As first time buyers, the experience was daunting at first. Our sales advisor, Rebecca, couldn't have been more helpful, & enthusiastic about our journey. We had a lot of queries, questions and concerns throughout the process and always felt we were being looked after personally by the team. We had regular contact with Rebecca from reservation to moving in and beyond, which helped settle any questions or issues we had quickly. Since moving in, Sean, the site manager and his team have worked hard to ensure our satisfaction by responding to snagging lists and enquiries about the house promptly and with a friendly manner. Despite some snagging issues, the customer care has been excellent and I would definitely recommend buying with Avant to anyone. We are so happy with our beautiful house.

Excellent customer experience from visiting, viewing, reservation of property, progress review of build, even had pictures of the build taken for us. Efficient staff, nothing too much for them to sort. This continued into after sales experience too. Immediate attention and fixing of the expected snags even during the pandemic. Would highly recommend the whole team. From sales team to site manager approach. Really grate full to Rob and Jo from sales, Dean and Dave from the site and Andy for after sales as well, you have all been efficient, effective, friendly. Thank you! We highly recommend Avant homes.

Cant get a move in date out of Avant homes....reserved in January 21 and told April a few times only to be told mid to end May today. Still no actual date given....scaffolding’s down from the plot...it’s 209 at Greenhall village. This is ontop of being told the sales price was x then they increased it by £5k. Obviously told them I would pull out the deal unless they dropped it to the original quoted price. In all not happy and feel they are being chancers here.Went through the 4 stage complaint procedure on their website...ignored by stage 1, 3 and 4...the person that responded at stage 2 blamed something that happened a month before I reserved the house.Utter chancers!

Avant quite frankly don't deserve 1 star.Drove 50 minutes for a viewing of a show home appointment for no one to be there. Waited an hour as Avant agreed to get someone out but no one arrived in that time frame. I returned to view again at a later date I was told which plots were available. Then told the plots were no longer available for around 2 years. 1st complaint raised. Any how managed to reserve the Lorton style house, again very poor communication from Avant, the appointments were rushed and a lack of information provided at the appointments. Unanswered emails. Patronising sales rep. 2nd complaint raised.The house sale was £210,995. The house next door also a Lorton, exact same house and same amount of land had been reduced to £209,995. Thought very little. It was then reduced again to £204,995. I asked if my house could be matched. I was told no. I asked for flooring. I was told no. I asked if I could purchase next door instead. So Avant increased the price of next door again because of the complaint I'd raised. I wanted to pull out of the sale due to the difficulties I had dealt with and the lack of understanding they had for the situation, they didn't offer a conversation as to why I was pulling from the sale? Didn't offer a meeting just rang to discuss my refund for the reservation of the plot. Plot reservation is £500 and can be fully refunded but they were only willing to give 50% back as I was the one cancelling the contract. I have recieved no documentation detailing only 50% will be reimbursed so had to fight for my full refund. Curiosity got the better of me and I went on to Avants webpage the same day I requested to pull from the sale and they again reduced next door back down to £204,995 and offered to pay legal fees. Avant wasn't loyal towards the customer they already had. Avant were obstructive in allowing myself to get the best deal with them and would rather loose a sale of £210,995 than provide a bit of carpets to keep me happy.I understand they are a business and they need to make their money. But they can't do it without customers. Words fail me. I would strongly advise revisiting a customer service skills workshop to prevent further home buyers being exposed to this.

Plot 33 Carnethy HeightsLove the design of the house but the quality of the house on the day we moved in was absolutely shocking!First thing, as soon as the front door was opened the flooring was bumpy throughout the downstairs!! Avant were aware of this before we moved in! Numerous windows were scratched! The dishwasher was dented!The back garden is like a peat bog and after 4 weeks it’s no better!!! The front door doesn’t lock properly. The issue is this isn’t confined to just us as other people on the development have had exactly the same issues!Come on Avant, if there is a common issue/fault don’t keep doing it, get it rectified for the next house to be built!I feel you are using COVID as an excuse for quality to slip knowing you can’t get tradesmen in to sort things out!

A painful experience trying to get all of the snagging sorted. After 4 months the customer liason officer has told me to report the outstanding issues to the warranty team, even though these issues were reported after the first few days of being in the property. Poor tarmac installation has been blamed on me having to use power steering to turn my vehicle.Very hard to communicate with site agents, and poor customer service.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!.. I have owned my new avant property for almost 3 years now and its the worst decision of my life! Horrible after sales team that will refuse to do any snagging after the house has been handed over and they have got their money! They pride themselves on the "fine touches" as the sales team put it but they are the worst builders I have came across and I'm in the building industry myself!

Just spoken to Avant Homes Customer Service Manager for Yorkshire. OMG, what an attitude and rude person. She has the attitude of “ We are Avant Homes and we will do what we like “! Would suggest the company invest some money in retraining this rude person and explain the meaning of Customer Service and how to be polite instead of conceited.

The experience of buying a home for first time buyers is usually stressful but with Avant home it was simplified for the beginning were you could get supported with all options of buying a home. We really appreciate Clare Firby for her efforts as we were first time buyers and had plenty of doubts which were simplified and assured at all the time.Clare ensure that the broker, solicitors and ourselves were singing from the same hymn sheet.We were supported through out the steps of journey to home buying making choices and upgrades etc.Although there was an appointment at sales office which was miscommunicated but was resolved in few minutes. We also appreciate Olivia and Janet who were in sales office for house buying journey appointment and for being around during the property demonstration.

In city fields there are so many options but I’m glad I chose Avant Homes. I would like to say a Massive thank you to the Avant sales team helping me to choose the dream home I wanted & Clare Firby mortgage Coordinator she was A-amazing she used to put my mind at ease when I was getting worried about things & and keeping me posted with the Weekly update Throughout and also now I’ve moved in The site supervisors/managers one of them is called Luke they are helping me to settle in. I would highly highly recommend anyone who is thinking of buying a house to come to Avant home you won’t be disappointed. From my initial meeting with Sandra, and ongoing communications with Louise and Claire I was finally in a position to reserve my plot with Patricia! With such a big purchase I wanted to be sure I was choosing the right home for us, and with the support from Steve the site manager I was able to don my hard hat, high viz and steel toe caps to fully confirm that I was doing the right thing! What a home! Completed my reservation meeting today with Louise who again has been so helpful and supportive with decisions and information about my new home so far it’s been a pleasant and exciting journey - hopefully the remainder of the journey continues to be as positive as it has been to now.
