Lavender Fold Mapplewell

As this is the first time we have bought a new build iI wanted to share our experience of buying a property through harron homes. We decided to visit the site one afternoon (July) with the intention of looking at their Windsor house type. Once there we were really taken with the Buxton style and went away to mull over our options. Having thought of nothing else all week we returned that weekend to look at the Buxton again. Sharon in the sales office discussed our options and we decided to part exchange my property in order to reserve our plot. We were so excited and a little overwhelmed as things progressed quickly with an exchange date anticipated for a little over 6 weeks later. Unfortunately this did not happen for various reasons however the then part exchange manager Lee was brilliant and helped us exchange a little over a week later. We were given an anticipated completion date of 27th September however issues with our boundary did put a damper on things and we were disappointed to lose a small section of land which had been on our boundary line plans when we first reserved. This wasn’t fully resolved until 3 weeks after we had moved in when the fence was finally moved. In spite of this our excitement for our plot never wavered. We absolutely loved the house from the start, visiting on a weekly basis to check on the progress. As our completion date neared the CML hadn’t been signed off and consequently our completion date was delayed. Sharon was fantastic in helping us secure a completion date for the following Friday 4th October. This was the best date for us with work and for help with the move. We have now been in the property 6 weeks and love it more each day. We do have outstanding snags [ less than 10] and no house is or will ever be built perfectly. Our site managers Warwick and Andy have both been brilliant in arranging for the lads to come and carry out the snagging repairs and for letting us know if an appointment cannot be met. As we work full time we rely heavily on others been in the house for the work to be carried out. I have never been unable to contact them and every snag carried out so far has been done to a high standard. The decoration repairs carried out by Pete have been fantastic he picked up on snags I had missed and repaired ones that weren’t on the list I had given him. We did have an issue with our drains blocking affecting the shower/toilet but this was resolved that same day the lads spent 2 hours sorting it for us and we haven’t had any issues since. Whilst I do have bigger snags that need addressing I am confident they will all be resolved soon. I did over pay in my options when purchasing my choices of Lino. Eileen sorted this for me with harrons head office and I receive the refund a few weeks later. i am waiting for the 500.00 retention fee to be returned to me following the sign off of the part exchange which I am now currently chasing and hope to receive shortly. Whilst we have had little disappointments along the way the positives far exceed them and we are so glad we made the decision to move to mapplewell and purchase a harron homes property. Sarah & Luke

Royal Wells Park - Crofton

We moved onto the Royal Wells Park housing estate in Crofton in mid October. This was our first new build and we were a bit nervous given recent media coverage given to poor new build quality in general and also reports of huge snagging lists that some buyers of new builds encounter.We are extremely happy with the quality of the home we have bought and the service that we have received. Ellie Wyles was the sales executive that we dealt with primarily and she was always helpful and responsive when we contacted her.Prior to moving in we had a few concerns regarding the house and asked to speak to Matt Bradwell who is the site manager. Right from the start it was clear that Matt would go out of his way to help with any issues that we had and he quickly addressed these initial concerns. As soon as we moved in Matt brought round a snagging list to fill in and told us that he aimed to address all snags within the month. It is unrealistic to expect no snags on a new build but we were very surprised how few snags we actually had, most of which were minor. 3 weeks in and we are now down to a few snags which are all scheduled to be addressed soon. We also had a couple of bigger issues which Matt has dealt with professionally and with minimal fuss. All the staff on site that we have dealt with are professional, respectful and helpful when needed but Matt Bradwell has been our main contact since moving in. He deserves a particular mention and is a credit to the company .

Perfect House buying experience - Meadow View Plot 106

This is my second new house buying experience, and so far all I have is a positive review. We bought a home on the Meadow View site in Barnsley, this was one of the final homes, we delt with Tracey one of the sales team, who was exactly what you need when buying a house, direct, honest and patient when we were considering making the final decision. Great support on moving day and helped us with issues and decisions that are all part and parcel of buying a house. Once moved in we encountered a few problems (again all expected with a new build) and everyone was handled on site with little fuss, so a big thanks to Todd the site manager for being approachable and sorting all the issues.I’d also like to comment on the house build, as stated above the quality of the finish fromHarron is way above my previous build, accepted we did add extras but we got what we paid for. Construction runs through the family and al comment on the quality of the finish.Couldn’t thank you all enough, for making a the move easy for me and my young family, who are all settle and happy in our new home.

I went to the brambles site on Saturday to have a look at plot 89 that you had for sale, sadly it wasn’t right for me and my family but I would like to say what a lovely young lady the Emily is I didn’t catch her second name she was more then happy to help and nothing was to much trouble for her she was very helpful but also had a laugh, I believe she was only young but I believe she will go very far within this company or any job she walks into the future she’s a natural talker. I asked why there was so many bad reviews about Harron homes and her answer was unbelievable ‘everyone only ever remembers bad and not the good, people are really quick to write bad reviews but never anything good, Harron homes is truthfully an amazing company how they do care for the customers and go the extra mile’ I will return in future when the time is right for a new home! fantastic customer service!

We already reserved a house from another development however, we weren't a hundred percent satisfied with the house. we received an offer from Harron Homes except when we went there the offer had been taken by another customer. Jane was excellent, she dug out another deal for us that was around our budget also, she seemed fully experienced in what she was doing.I'm really excited to be finally moving into my new house, hopefully in late November.All thanks to Jane!

We moved into our new home on the Edenbrookvale site 10 weeks ago, We love the house however from the start we were aware of some of the poor on line reviews.Although we had a bad start with sales we eventually saw and dealt with Suzanne Middleton.She assisted us by getting many of the snags done either before or just after the move.Suzanne has a warm and friendly personality and she was just what we required to help us move into the new build.We have recently had most of our problems sorted by Mark, deputy site manager who is also approachable, helpful and a problem solver.We have a few hiccups but we are happy so far. Thanks to both Suzanne , Mark and to the tradesmen who rectify the problems.Thanks Steve and Angie.

Oaklands Heath Huddersfield

We were concerned with some of the negative reviews on Harron Homes that we came across before we purchased our new home. Our experience has been totally different. The on site team, particularly Jacquie and Debbie are excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The Sales process was straight forward and we moved in on time. We love the design and build quality of the house.As with all new builds there were some snagging issues, but again all dealt with efficiently by the Site Management team. We have only needed to contact Customer Services a few times, but they proved to be helpful and keen to resolve our issue.If we still have any complaints it would be the ongoing site development causing roads that can be like a mud bath at times! Looking forward to the site being completed.

Our purchase so far..

I absolutely can’t fault the service we’ve received (so far) from Joanne O’Neill @ Rosendale Gardens, Wickersley South Yorks. From initial reservation we’ve been kept fully in the loop and very well informed throughout the process. The only downside to our process so far has been Harron’s choice of Solicitor, Freeths, which I strongly believe should be reviewed by Harron internally - Harron pride themselves on a great service and Freeths haven’t replicated this at all - That being said, everything Harron could have done to rectify this they have done. I can’t speak highly enough of Joanne and she’s a complete asset to Harron and deserves recognition for her passion, service and care for her role and seems to share the same values and ethics that Harron pride themselves on. Alistair has been great since joining the Wickersley sales team and Rachel Sheard has been very supportive and a big help throughout any issues with Freeths.Definitely recommend Harron Homes so far and will review again once we have our keys! :)

Our new Harron Home Oaklands Heath

We moved into Oaklands Heath, Huddersfield in July and yes we had some minor snags, but all were dealt with quickly and effectively by Jacqui, Debbie, Michael and Richard with no fuss and we are delighted with our new home from the design to the finish. I love how the areas from room to room flow and with a growing family the space is also important.The Sales girls have become friends and I want to thank them for the time they have taken with us. A special thank you to Leon who has been very helpful throughout. The trades people on site are also great, nothing is too much trouble and they always seem to have a smile for us, they have made us feel as though we are their priority.Great job all round we're looking forward many happy years here and we'd certainly recommend them to anyone considering buying a Harron Home.

AVOID HARRON HOMES!!!!!!!This company are a joke they pride themselves on building luxury homes ha ha far from it. It's like cowboy builders. The houses are in a shocking state, poor painting plastering brickwork. Leaks from pipes in bathrooms not connected. They bodge so many houses.how they pass CML gods knows its wrong.Ours was a joke.They don't care and their customer service is simply not bothered. Yes the show homes look nice but it's not what you get.Please don't buy trust me go elsewhere save yourselfs the harron hassle.Every review is bad on here that says it all.
