Had a viewing with Raffaele Ulmini who was by far the most brilliant, thorough, enthusiastic (and best dressed!!) estate agent we've dealt with so far. Full of the property history and current information, fun jokes and engagement to really make you start to imagine the possibility of living in the property. Although on that occasion we didn't put an offer in on the property, it was an absolute pleasure to have him show us round and we hope that we will see him again once another property comes up! thank you Raffaele! We recently viewed a property with Jade Broome of Church Robinson and were immediately impressed. Jade was welcoming and friendly but not imposing and took care for COVID safety, ensuring we work masks, removed shoes and wore gloves to protect both ourselves and the owners of the house. Before we looked at the property she told us all the commonly asked information such as age of boiler etc, which was a refreshing change and came across very professional. We have viewings with other estate agents who said they would only answer our questions if we were serious and going to put an offer in! In addition, the process of making an offer and providing all correct documentation was made easy as we were provided us with a list of what to do in the instance we would like to make an offer. From that point onwards we had a good experience, with Vanessa keeping in touch with us and all the solicitors to ensure that things were moving along. We have now moved into our new home after only a few months since the first visit. Thank you Church Robinson team!

This is our first time going through with a tenancy with Church Robinson and our experience with Marta and Vanessa has been absolutely fantastic! We first met Marta when she showed us round the property; she was very knowledgeable, gave us great advice and insight into the local area. The next day we received a phone call from Marta with the good news of being accepted for the tenancy. She was so genuinely excited for us and was always available to help us out with any queries we had after our phone call - we felt very looked after! Since then Vanessa has progressed our tenancy seamlessly and provided us with regular updates. The process was smoothly executed and we definitely felt like our tenancy progression was in safe hands. Vanessa was always clear with any communications and I knew where our tenancy was at every step of the way! From the moment we signed up with Church Robinson to help find our new house, Raffaele was incredibly helpful and professional. We recently had our boiler break and Warren got a contractor out to us very quickly. The contractor was very professional and went above and beyond to make sure we had some kind of hot water while waiting for a replacement boiler especially as the immersion heater was also broken. Warren was relatively easy to get a hold of and helped us turn on the immersion heater (although as I said it also turned out to be broken.) He made sure to follow up on progress.

We have just started the process of buying of a property with Church Robinson and already we know we are in safe hands. Never having been on a selling/chain position before, it is great to be reassured that work will happen behind the scenes. We have had the pleasure of meeting Nat and Raffaele so far, when it came to viewings and we love how at ease and friendly they are, they don't need to do the 'hard sell,' as you can see how enthusiastic and excited they are for the potential buyers to see the properties worth. Nat did an amazing job at babysitting our youngest while we looked around and he even fell asleep, it felt like we had known her years and also she made us feel she really knew us too. Raffaele is just an awesome chap, incredibly personable and knowledgeable and very caring towards us! The guy who valued our place said “I will be your contact right up until you move out”… we never got to speak to him again instead we got the sales guys who each time they came to a viewing had to ask us where the parking was obviously, no notes. On a good note the girl who had taken the house photo was amazing and did a really brilliant job as was the Saturday viewing girl very honest and had good sales skills.

The purchasing of the property started off ok enough. They strongly recommended to use the solicitors they usually work with under the premise that communication would be better and things would move faster because of their ongoing relationship. That did not happen and after a week and a half of not being able to get in touch with the solicitors we had to swap and start all over with a different firm. Vanessa from CR kept calling me over the phone accusing me of delaying the process, wasting people’s time and not being serious. She kept saying things like ‘the vendors went with you because you said you wanted a quick turnaround and look at what you are doing now’. Utterly unacceptable and unprofessional and THEIR fault actually for recommending solicitors that were so busy that just could not take anymore work on. The phone calls kept coming and she kept on being pushy despite us doing things as fast as we possibly could having just lost two weeks because of the solicitor issues. I would cry over the phone with the new solicitors (who were helpful and understanding) begging them to hurry so that CR would leave me alone. Vanessa even accused us of making the sellers’ children miss getting a place in the new school because they had no guarantee of moving out on time because of us delaying. We ended up contacting Mr. Church himself (can’t remember his first name), we explained everything that had happened and how we were being treated and he agreed to take over. From there on things went fine, he was very polite and responsive and eventually we completed and moved in. Since then I’ve heard from other people in the estate that have also purchased through them and it seems they have similar poor experiences. That being said, people who have sold with them were happy so I guess how things go with them depends what side of the transaction you are in.

Having attempted to sell our house with another agent and having no success and a frustrating experience, the difference with having Church Robinson market our house was night and day. Holly and James provided us with a detailed appraisal and strategy for the sale, with thorough knowledge of the market in the local area. Within 3 days of putting our house on the market, we accepted an offer and were confident that Church Robinson had secured us a buyer that was likely to not pull out. The remainder of the sale was eased with great communication from Dawn, who kept our solicitor on track. I could not fault Church Robinson at all and only wish I had gone with them first time around. I had no hesitation in recommending them to friends and neighbours who were interested in selling. The best estate agent in Didcot!
