GoogleUtterly unimpressed by Bagshaws. When selling a house, first impressions are essential. My first impression was: a dimly lit office with most of the pictures of houses having "Sold" on them (implying business was slow and the pictures were old); and a sales lady who didn't even acknowledge me when I entered and who scribbled down my details on a scrap of paper. Six days later, the day before the valuation I'd arranged, I got five emails in a row: one welcoming me to Bagshaws; one giving me a link to an account that would keep me informed 24/7 (but presumably 6 days late); and three telling me I had a valuation tomorrow (one of the emails had the wrong valuer on it). I cancelled the valuation on the day before it was due (the competition, who'd given me valuation reports by then, were so much better I didn't want to use Bagshaws). The next day a pushy young salesman called me. He started by telling me the call was for my benefit but then proceeded to ask me questions about my intention to sell and my reasons for selling. He was clearly after marketing information and didn't care two hoots about me. I told him the information he wanted was none of his business. On the plus side, I gave Bagshaws two stars because the staff were polite when they spoke to me. Nonetheless; overall I was deeply not impressed.

GoogleWe cannot recommend Josh at Bagshaws Residential enough. As first-time buyers he kept us informed of suitable properties and when we found the one, he did everything to help us secure it. He went above and beyond with our queries, responding within a matter of hours with the latest progress and making the whole process as stress free as possible!

GoogleEnquired about a property through Ashbourne office. Advised not with them must be Derby office, ring them! I did & they referred me back to Ashbourne office. Aside from the incompetence, is one office really unable to access details of properties with another office of the same company? I certainly won't be selling through Bagshaws if this is how enquiries are handled.

They frequently provided timely and accurate updates regarding the progress of the sales and were very proactive when dealing with the purchasers’ solicitors. Thoroughly professional and cheerful, Charlotte and Lindsey have a comprehensive knowledge of the housing market and always maintained client confidentiality throughout the process. Selling property can be a bumpy ride at the best of times however, these ladies very much smoothed the path to completion with minimal fuss. We were particularly impressed with how they managed our cases whilst having to deal with the very challenging constraints placed upon them with the COVID pandemic. GoogleWe are currently selling our house with Bagshaws. We chose them originally because we viewed a property that was listed with them and had a very positive experience with Charlotte who showed us around the property. Although we could have gone with a cheaper fixed fee rate option for selling our house, we felt that the personal touch given at Bagshaws and relationships already built was worth the selling fee. Charlotte has kept us in mind for properties coming on the market and has contacted us with ones we might be interested in before they even make it online. Lindsay has also been great with helping us sell our house, she has been in contact with us regularly about the selling process and has given us advice on how to proceed with offers when we asked for it. Our house took a little while to sell but there was no pressure to reduce the price for a quick sale. This has also all taken place during COVID-19, restrictions and precautions have been put in place and Bagshaws have advised us on how to keep ourselves and viewers as safe as possible.

GoogleWe found ourselves in the position of needed to sell property following a family bereavement. We decided to go with Bagshaws because they were professional yet approachable, and really do offer a personal service. They have handled everything; from explaining exactly how they determine a valuation, to EPC certificates, photos and viewings. When you ring the branch with any questions, any of the staff, (Lindsey, Charlotte and Olivia) are able to speak to you about your query. To me this shows they are all familiar with the properties they are selling, and so are able to talk to potential buyers about your property. They are all also very knowledgeable about the housing market on both a local and wider scale in general. Nothing has been too much trouble, and I would not hesitate to recommend them, or to use them again in the future. They have made one of the most stressful times in my life easier to navigate.
