Taking the time to update my below review, as I believe it's fair to give an overview of the whole situation as it unfolds. Having complained to Kim, the lettings manager, about the problems I'd been facing for 2 weeks she has been outstanding at resolving them. A few minor issues here and there remain that the landlord is aware of and just slow sorting, however even simply being listened to and believed that the water wasn't hot enough is a world away from my previous experience with others at LE. Within 2 days Kim has managed to get someone to visit to identify and put in place an initial fix for the boiler, though a more long term solution might be needed. Kim has been very straight to the point and kind in hearing my concerns and believing that there is a problem to be sorted, and then really quick at convincing the landlord to fix it. I also really appreciate Lewis hearing I'd been having some issues and checking back in to see if he could help. I'm so pleased there has been willingness and ability to find solutions to some pretty non-negotiable things like hot water, with hope that in the future other issues can and will be resolved so much more effectively. Feel much more comfortable in my home and more like a valued customer so v happy with the way things have turned out :) Lewis was great at finding us a property and setting everything up, however the quality of management, lack of willingness to do anything and communication since is very poor. It has been a fight to get the property cleaned to the agreed standard to begin with (which I just cleaned myself in the end, except for the carpets which were arranged to be cleaned by LE), the wrong meter readings were given to us so having to dispute with energy companies, yesterday I phoned about a leak from the shower into the downstairs and didn’t hear anything back or receive any advice. Today I’ve been advised to fix it myself - I’m not a plumber...

If it was no star I would have chosen it!!!!They made us come from meopham in dartford, for absolutely nothing. They didn't even open the door properly in the flat.Flat was absolutely a mess, and what we could see through the door was something awful. They apologised saying that the tenant did not let them to see the flat before but the agent that was already there did not even bother to give us a call to let us know what is in there. And then to top it up he said that everything will be refurbished!!!!!That s not fair to us

Arranged a viewing at a property up for rent and was greeted by a guy called Lewis, he was very well turned out , friendly and knowledgeable, we liked the property and placed the holding deposit straight away. Over the few weeks whilst the references went through Lewis kept us upto date and advised us the best way to proceed and really went that extra mile, also Tamsin who said she was new to the agents was very helpful in getting forms sent out and always available to answer any questions I had. I’ve been in the process of buying my flat for a very long time, and unfortunately, faced numerous disappointments with both my mortgage advisors and solicitors. The only person who was genuinely supportive and consistently helpful was Lewis Powell. I honestly don’t think I would have managed without him. He didn’t have to go out of his way, yet he was always engaged and proactive. Most of the updates I received came from him alone, and even after the sale, he continued to provide assistance. Unlike many estate agents we met, who often lacked basic information about the properties they were selling, Lewis stood out for his professionalism and knowledge. The company should really value people like him. If I ever buy or sell property again, it will definitely be with his help!

Renters AVOID

Have been renting for 20 years and have never experienced such disregard, greed and extremely rude service. Don’t let the pitiful attempt of decorated office to fool you into a high market agent. I can only comment on rental not sales. Maintenance repairs are not dealt with sufficiently, if at all in some situations. Agents attempted to withhold deposit- thankfully this was resolved only due to deposit protection scheme and fully returned. Thankfully law changed now regarding fees as they were extortionate. Landlord was great which was a shame as it often felt there was discrepancies between what was being communicated from agents. Might be if a buyer but once tenant has signed dotted line the friendly false approach soon withers and are only seen as profit pay check even in unforeseen sad life experiences. My advice to tenants would be keep everything in writing, hang up if they phone you from withheld number, keep all evidence. I have never had to dispute a return of deposit with other agents I’ve rented from and thankfully they won’t be able to unlawfully keep my money all thanks to deposit protection- I know I’m not the first tenant they have tried to do this too.

We interviewed 3 estate agents but felt we got the best vibe from Lewis at Land Estates and my gut was right. Superb from start to Finish. Managed the process well from start to finish professionally and with haste and urgency. Always kept us informed of progress and updates and always contactable. This was the first property I rented out on my own and initially Lewis dealt with showing me around. He was very polite and professional and explained everything to me so that I could understand as the majority of things I had no clue about! He was very quick and efficient when dealing with all of my paperwork applications and references with no issues or complaints from him. He was always happy to help and I'm really grateful to him as he did a wonderful job of finding me the perfect place. Darya dealt with my check in and again was so lovely to meet. She arranged for me to check in on a Saturday due to my work commitments and I was so happy they could accommodate my situation otherwise I wouldn't have been able to move in for a few more weeks. She explained very clearly where everything was in the property and helped me out a great deal. These two employees were a pleasure to meet and helped me so much with anything I needed. I did however have an issue with the cleaning standards of the property as this wasn't done by the maintenance team but again both of these guys took the matter forward for me and sorted this out. Aside from this I have no complaints about either of them but I have had some issues with choosing my supplier for broadband as I was not informed I had no choice and this had to be through virgin. Kim is currently discussing this with the landlord and apologised that she was not informed this was the case and not being told at the start of my tenancy. This is currently being looked into but aside from this I've had no other issues Can't make it clear enough how grateful and happy I am with both Lewis for finding me the perfect place and darya for accommodating my needs to move in on a Saturday when normally they can't do this. Donna looked after the sale of my property from start to finish. I initially had my reservations as Land Estates are an independent estate agent and I wasn't sure if they would have all of the back up of a larger chain. I need not have worried. Donna's attention to detail and market knowledge were 2nd to none. Firstly, she achieved many offers on our property. Then, she advised the position of each of the potential buyers so that I could make an informed decision on who to go with and the price agreed was above our best expectations. After sale was agreed, Donna really showed how valuable it was to have an organised, professional and caring individual on our side. She provided me with regular updates throughout the sales process and really gave the feeling that she cared about both ourselves and the buyer and was working for both our interests throughout the process. Donna always called and emailed back when asked to and the rest of the team were happy to assist if she was on another call or appointment. All in all, I feel the transaction went much smoother than other property transactions I have undertaken. I believe that Donna's involvement in the transaction was the key to the process being as stress free as a property sale can be! In addition to selling our property, Land Estates were also the managing agents for letting of the same property. Selina and her team were always very attentive to ourselves and our tenants and dealt with any queries that arose throughout the tenancy with professionalism and efficiency. I would not hesitate to recommend the Land Estates team for any of their services and consider them to be an honest and hard-working team. If I am in the position of selling or buying in the future, my first call will be to land estates.

After renting our house out for a few years with a major estate agent in Dartford who promised us the world, only to discover that we where lied to and given nightmare tenants, costing us thousands, we were so hesitant to rent our house out again in 2015! Then we won the lottery....not only did we meet the amazing staff of Land Estates, but they also found us dream tenants! In the past year we are in constant amazement of the high level of service we receive from Land Estates, and especially Kayleigh ! They constantly do things that save us money, help us in every possible way and they are so efficient and professional! Anyone thinking of renting your property out, only use Land Estates!
